Even though I stopped playing when it started to get really interesting (because the puzzles just became too hard, and I couldn't progress without looking up hints), but Baba Is You was the most interesting game I played all year.

They are not unless you really REALLY want adorable mini-summons or the other things that come with the Deluxe. Their greatest utility is that they can be used in any fight, which normal Summon materia can't do, but even then a lot of fights won't last long enough for their summon bar to charge. I think the digital deluxe also just doesn't come with Chocobo Chick so you'd be missing one anyway. Carbuncle is the only one of them that has any real long-term gameplay value after you unlock Hard Mode, but it's a big price jump for just that.
