So Freedom Planet 2 dropped and I was wondering if anyone was going through it right now and was interested in discussing it.
So far I've played a few hours of the game and I honestly love it. Only properly went through 1 earlier this year, and the sequel holds up really well and just feels like an improvement across the board. Love how the stages feel a little shorter now compared to the first game's length.
As of right now, it's only available on Steam, and I ran into some issues where the default keybindings were screwed up, but other than that it's been running great.
Only issue I have with it atm is that the Classic Mode seems to be unlockable after finishing the story mode this time, which I can understand the decision with how the story mode is structured to be more open this time around. However, I also get that some people would prefer to play the game without the story as a classic Genesis style game.
You can purchase it now on:
Itch.io (comes with Steam key and iirc has a larger cut to the devs)
Steam
Console versions should be coming next year, iirc.
