Don't Call this "Star Fox"

Several years ago (2016!?) animator Matthew Gafford made a short (13 minute) fan cartoon called "A Fox in Space," with a vibe somewhere between cheap, grody 70s animation and Adult Swim:

The quality of this animation is a remarkable accomplishment. It's well-directed and -written, too.

I've heard similar rumors alleging varying degrees of closeness, but I don't feel that is sufficient reason for me to want to unwatch the video even if I could.

The most concrete thing I can find at least is he was on TenNapel's podcast several years ago, and that he used to go by Fredryk Phox online in the 2000s (at which point he was popular with 4chan types). That said, he's involved in various furry sub-communities from the looks of it, so I suspect Kiyone knows more.

I saw a Youtube reupload of Matthew Gafford on TenNapel's podcast. The channel said they were reuploading it because TenNapel's channel had been deleted. Funny how that happens to those people.
