Chess.com?

I've been doing a bunch of chess in the last couple of years, but it's almost exclusively been puzzles. Playing against an actual human intimidates me.
I like chess.com well enough, but it's very commercialized. If the ads/premium stuff bother you, I highly recommend lichess.org, which is 100% free and has basically everything you'd want from chess.com. I think chess.com has a slightly nicer interface, but only in terms of chrome; lichess.org seems just as functional. Also, it may or may not be run by/named after a lady lich?
