While it’s not quite my favourite Zelda spin-off, Cadence of Hyrule is right up there for being my favourite Roguelike, and even better than the already great Crypt of the Necrodancer. Fixed Beat Mode is immensely helpful for people like me with no sense of timing. I’m like a reverse Metronome.
Anyway, the last chunk Of DLC dropped, and while I haven’t started the new Skullkid Campaign yet, I have invested a lot of time into Dungeon a Mode (drops the over world and makes the game a full on CotND sequel, just one with Zelda monsters, and among the season pass is a full proper, puzzle filled Zelda Dungeon, that’s designed around accumulating and making full use of every single dungeon item.
Theyve also added a bunch of new characters, but they’re mostly just offering tweaks to how the game is played normally, so that’s harder to get excited about.
