A tricky boss-beating poll from GFaqs

Over your gaming career, which recurring villain have you defeated the most times?

I said Dr. Wily, but now I'm wondering.

I mean, Wily has been in more unique games than most of this lot.

Meanwhile, Eggman is the boss of every single Zone in the classic and Advance games, I think, so he gets a lot of mileage there.

Then we have Bowser. The number of times I played New SMB before going to sleep likely shoots that up.

And then there are other factors. What about beating Bowser in Smash, or Mario Kart, etc? Are we counting those? Bowser and Eggman might leave Wily in the dust, after all.

And I don't think anyone else listed even comes close.

Can I change my vote?

If he were listed, I think Sigma would be my answer.

Yeah, Sigma would definitely change the dynamic of this for me.

I think I set up the poll so you can totally change your vote if you want.

As I mentioned upthread, personally I wouldn't count beating the boss as a regular/random VS opponent in a fighting or racing game, only when they're acting in an actual "boss" capacity and are actually "defeated", though obviously there's lots of gray areas in all those definitions.

It looks like it'll still let me edit the poll as well (so I could add, like, Sigma and Lavos), but I'm a little wary 'cause I don't know whether changing the options would clear existing votes, so I'll probably just leave it. Write-ins are always welcome in the thread!
