Yeah, Villeneuve is a fantastic director, the cinematography looks gorgeous, and iirc it's a 2-film adaptation which means it won't be rushed and stilted like the previous movie.At this point in his career Villeneuve has more than earned the benefit of the doubt, regardless of what the marketing department gets up to

I'm curious what reception will be in today's political climate for a movie based on a book that had some obvious Muslim names and concepts in it. I really hope the movie doesn't shy away from that.
In theaters only? When's the release date?
Currently scheduled for December 18th. I will not be seeing this in theaters unless the world dramatically changes by this time.
