Having to run after rewards that go rolling or flying out of an enemy is a game element I can gladly do without. Especially if the items disappear quickly. And even moreso if I have to dodge attacks from other enemies while doing that.I don't tend to like the thing in some games where orbs that pop out of enemies disappear after a short time, or where there's RPG mods that affect how you pick up orbs. Just... just give me the orbs.
Just... just give me the orbs.
Yep, this. The best orbs to collect are in Crackdown because every one you find makes finding others more fun.
The best way to collect an orb is to backflip into it, and get a freeze frame while your score tallies.
I'm sorry, but you can't backflip in Super Mario World. The best way to collect an orb is to backflip into it, and get a freeze frame while your score tallies.
Monster! You steal men's orbs, and ... uh, what exactly do you do with those? I have always been pretty vague on that point.I disagree. It's important that those orbs remain in the possession of my minions. No backflipping or whip freeze frames are permitted in this castle.
What is a man? A miserable little pile of orbs.Monster! You steal men's orbs, and ... uh, what exactly do you do with those? I have always been pretty vague on that point.

Your words are as empty as your soul - some men are piles of gems and then some are piles of gems and orbs. But they all are little and miserable. So I guess you soul isn't completely empty...What is a man? A miserable little pile of orbs.
And so does the vacation comic. The second comic from the right implies that Samus can roll into a ball without her suit on.
Well, in Metroid 1 (in the US/PAL versions) she can curl into a ball just fine without the power suit, so imho it's Canon. The second comic from the right implies that Samus can roll into a ball without her suit on. So it's not a function of the suit, it's just something she can do. Presumably the Chozo had to engineer the suit with the capability to stay on while she went into ball form.
Maybe a retconned Adam from Fusion?Who is Samus supposed to be talking to in those comics?
Isn't a sphere grid really just an orb grid?Good, now turn that into a sphere grid.
2,8 and 9 really dropped the orb on this.Gems: FF3 crystals, FF4 crystals, FF5 crystals, [FF6] magicite
Gems and orbs: FF1 crystals (gems and ORBs if you prefer)
Orbs: [FF7] materia, FF10 spheres
