You know what you should do? Something to set this LP apart from every other FF3FC LP?
You should take a team with neither ninja nor sage to fight the Cloud. As the prophecy foretold. |

I wasn't able to complete Two LPs before Brick completed Two Updates, but I will be DAMNED if I don't finish two before you do! |

1/16/2012 - Hey, At Least This Was Finished Before the Mayan Apocalypse
Here we are once again. Long story short, the reason why I lost last time was that I focused on using Cure4 on the whole party. If its used as a single target heal it restores to full, but when it spreads to everyone its drastically reduced. Regardless, I still manage to fuck it up and lose both Katie and Ringo in the process. The remainder of the fight is pretty straight forward. DarkCloud FlareWave's once a round, PERCY Cure IV's SL or himself on alternating turns and SL throws double fisted Shuriken. Bang, she's out. This could have been done with any combination of classes so long as you have access to Cure IV (i.e. a Sage or a Shaman) and pair them up with one of the melee characters. Using anything but a ninja just means it takes a little longer to dish out the damage. Having defeated the DarkCloud, our heroes are thrust from the void back into Sylx Tower. |

Meeting back up with their friends that had saved them from Zande's trap, everyone prepares to leave for their respective homes. First up is Old Man (1 of 4). He's humble about how amazing he is, as usual. Next up is newly crowned King Allus. He takes over reign in Salonia since we murdered his monster-father. A neat little detail that they created an indoor view of the Nautilus just for this section of the ending. Desh decides he's coming to get off in Canaan as well, to reunite with his love Sarina. You know, once again leaving his tower unsupervised to potentially fall into peril once again. |

Everyone is reunited with their loved ones, with Cid getting a little to fresh with the public displays of affection than his wife would like. Off to our final stop! The princess decides that she'd rather go back with us (all of us?!) to Ur rather than return to Sasoon, at least for the moment. Returning home to a warm welcome, the village elder notices that the light has once again return to the town's crystal as well. |

And thus the world is a little brighter once again. Even though this darkness was never really indicated on the world map or anything. Roll cast credits! The fearsome foursome. And all the other supporting cast (i.e. anyone who appeared as a guest character in our party). |

Cue full credits, complete with one job class per section:
Fighter, BlackWiz, WhiteWiz RedWiz, Monk, Scholar Hunter, Knight, Thief Bard, Geomancer, Viking Dragoon, Karateka, Conjurer |

M.Knight, Warlock, Shaman Ninja, Sage And I guess I either missed one or Summoner got totally skipped over for the end credits. THE END Its been a long road, and I wasn't sure at some points (most notably the splitting dungeon) whether I'd have the willpower to actually finish this game. Apologies for the long delays between some posts, but hopefully its been a fun ride for everyone. See ya next (current) LP! -SL Last edited by TheSL; 01-16-2012 at 01:30 PM. |

Bravo, sir, bravo! 'Tis good to see more LPs completed around here, and this one in particular since it was so very near the end! I never doubted you'd come back to it, and here we are.
So, gonna follow up later with an FF3DS LP? |

There's probably a better chance of seeing Dragon Warrior 1 (GB) or Dragon Quest 1 (SFC) than that...

When I played this a couple years ago I took down the final boss with three ninjas throwing stars and one sage healing the party. The sage's healing bought the ninjas just enough time to beat the boss.
It's probably been said on this thread before, but this game was so massive for an NES game, and I would have loved to have it in the US the same year Japan got it. Since this game was partly developed in Sacramento and only sold in Japan, can it be considered a US export of sorts? How much did the staff spend locally while in the US? |

I can't imagine myself ever actually beating this game, so I'm glad I got to play vicariously through this LP.
I'll most likely end up playing through the DS version again for the series' 25th anniversary and I'm not looking forward to it at all... |
