Thankfully, Roger is well aware of the dangers of seizures and closed his eyes until the throbbing light coming through his eyelids faded... Opening his eyes the colors were only to be replaced by a much more sinister image!

In the original SQ you had to put on your jetpack and then exit the ship. In this version, after you tell the droid that you will be staying, all you do is use the hand icon on the Deltour and Roger, if he has it, automatically equips the jetpack before disembarking. If you don't have it well...

So, its a good thing we held out when trading our skimmer. Roger succesfully exits his cruiser and using the jetpack makes his way to the Deltour.

A quick push of that button over there, and we're in!

Unfortunately, the Jet-pack malfunctions as you enter the Deltour and bursts into flames?! Roger quickly takes off the device and tosses the burning wreckage to the floor

As he stamps his back for any errant flames he hears the door in front of him, begin to make noise and slips to the side, hoping not to be seen:

As the droid moves to clean-up Roger's mess he slips behind it and out of the airlock, and into:

This nondescript room with a trunk in it. He hears voices beyond the door to his right and figures the Sariens will shoot first and laugh about it later, but he needs to get out of here somehow:

Using the trunk as a step stool Roger can reach the airvent which he unscrews with the Xenon Army Knife he found in the first aid kit. Without thinking, standard operating procedure for Rog, Roger enters the duct and begins mindlessly wandering through this series of tubes. He eventually finds another vent, which:

Incorrectly putting in the Sector code:

Not putting in any code (pushing the off button on the code entry panel)

Saying "Ok" when the Droid asks to leave:

Moving in any direction away from the Deltour's airlock:

There seems to be a lot of typos in the text boxes of this game.

Not much of a surprise Sierra didn't sink too many resources into the re-makes they were just trying to get new people into the series and get another 40-50 out of long-time fans.

When they didn't make the cash like they thought they would they scrapped the remakes altogether (they had originally intended to go back through all the AGI games)

Default SQ1VGA: Touring with Deltour!

Exiting the ventilation, Roger finds himself:

In the laundry! Since he doesn't have any other ideas he crawls into the machine. Despite seeing the clothes right there... He cannot simply grab them and change clothes?!

What a miracle?! Roger checks his pockets to find:

Hoping clothes are what make the Sarien, Roger enters the halls of the Deltour:

Roger decides to attempt conversation with the (hideous) Sariens, a sampling:

Roger makes his way through the Deltour, learning the ships layout. He eventually makes it upstairs and notes:

(this droid will be important in a very short time)

OOOoooOOO, the star generator! Look at the guy they got to watch it too! Substantially beefer than his fellows.

Moving onwards we come to:

Note how all the droids in the updated SQ1 Seem to take heavy inspiration from H2G2's Marvin?

Default SQ1VGA: Touring the Deltour cont'd

Roger, tired of the droid's bickering, hands over his id card to the machine:

As the droid heads to the back room, Roger makes his move on them there grenades behind the counter, getting back to the right side of the counter just in time:

Now armed with a blaster and a grenade Roger re-enters the halls of the Deltour with a new sense of... well, false manhood really.

Roger drops the grenade on the overgrown saurian ape:

I'm honestly surprised Roger managed to do that without killing himself... With the guard neutralized Roger should have no problems blowing the Star Generator up and getting out of here, he heads towards the elevator:

Goddamni, Roger! You can't stay vertical aligned for more than minute or two can you! The janitor droid, efficiently does its job and picks up the offending garbage, all while walking all over Roger:

Now Roger has to zap Sarians before they zap him. This was easier in the original because all you needed was a quick finger on the F6 key. In the updated version you have to click with the gun on baddies before they shoot you...

We had down the elevator and over to the Star Generator blasting as we go:

That's hard to tell there but Roger is a second away from blasting that guy!

Roger searches the body and finds the control for the forcefield around the Sstar Generator deactivates the shield and punches in the code:

Now to get out of this place:

He missed! My turn:

Default SQ1VGA: The End!

With the guard eliminated Roger heads down the now unprotected elevator:

He quickly enters the shuttle and pushes the one button he can read:

And then the credits role, see:

They are boring, so we skip them! That's Space Quest VGA! A sloppy, but graphically superior upgrade to the original. Others might disagree but this game just doesn't have the charm that the original has for me, but my glasses are severely rose-tinged on this issue.

All that is left is to do some death scenes and that will have been my Let's Play of Space Quest 1,2,3 and VGA!

Thanks for watching!

I love you all!

Default SQ1VGA: Final death and crappy ending!

Escape the deltour without activating the SG's self-destruct:

If you forget to pull the data cartridge out of the terminal you read it from back on Kerona, you get this ending:

Thanks again for watching! I enjoyed reading your thoughts and memories of these games as much as I enjoyed playing through them again! If you hated it or liked it let me know!

Ciao, Ciao!

Just read through it all again. Good times, good times.

Thanks a bunch for saving numerous Let's Play threads like these from Photobucket Paywall Purgatory, Loki. And thanks again for LPing these games, Falselogic.
