yes please also, one of the reasons this update took so long is because it was originally supposed to be twice as long |

Oh man, just looking at that morph ball maze made my eyes hurt.

I AM ERROR?
I have a feeling that something has gone horribly wrong with these updates. |

Is this one of them fancy pants artsy updates?
|

It's like the let's play equivalent of a silent movie!
I think I prefer the talkies. |

Don't listen to these fools, I enjoyed it. But the color commentary does help if only because the layout of the game is so baffling.

It is entitled "Bullshit, In Sixty Acts"

Well, now that I realize I can follow it pretty well based on the pictures alone, I'm not so confused. I just wasn't sure if that was the way it was supposed to be.
Was it? |

I'm imagining this update playing with the Benny Hill theme.

I'm surprised by how many people thought this was unintentional at first. Was this update that incomprehensible for most? :/
I thought I'd try something new. There wasn't anything particularly devious in this update that required a text explanation and I didn't feel like inventing another 20 ways of saying "and now we have a pit of lava"... but more importantly, Stiv is a great inspiration. Guess it didn't work out. I wonder what I'll try next? (aside from making an update out of running around aimlessly to the benny hill theme) [edit] fuck now it's stuck in my head |

I got it eventually! I'm a little slow.

I got it. As someone who has trouble coming up with word soup for his Let's Play (I will get back to it after Otakon, I promise), I totally got it. Super Metroid Redesign is beyond words. It's just "Hush now, screaming will only make the pain worse." "yes please"

Dammit, now the Benny Hill theme is stuck in my head as well.

I liked the update Vorpal. But yes, Benny Hill music would have made it better.
EDIT: I just went back through with YouTube playing the music in the background, and it was everything I dreamed it would be, and more. |

Just to throw in, i liked the silent movie treatment as well. I enjoy multi-medianess of this let's play.

Yeah, I followed it, though honestly I would have liked maybe double the number of map shots, since I found myself constantly scrolling up on down to the nearest map to keep track of where you were going. But then, I'm kind of a map nerd, so.

Just hearing about this game gives me a migraine.
I can't imagine what it's like to actually play it. |

Holy crap, guys. Go back and load up the Hell's Run video. Play the Benny Hill theme. Move the slider along to make the video speed up.
Magical. |

Wow, the requiem for a dream music really fits with the metroid atmosphere well. The music captures the isolation and the drama of a metroid game perfectly. That or it brings to clearer light the fact that Samus has a drug problem.
