One interesting note... I put in the code for this level and because it doesn't load after the battle with the Koopa, Luigi enters the room through the door of the level instead of the metal gate as usual. Didn't realize the game corrected for that!
Two for Cairo! And I immediately receive confirmation that giving away the cities ahead of time is acceptable: So there ya go. The map didn't go too well... unfortunately I couldn't figure out exactly where this mosque was, but I took a guess. Anyway, I've zoomed in on the pyramids, which are fun to look at! Also, Wikipedia has this map, which is quite cool: Last edited by Violentvixen; 12-07-2008 at 12:18 PM. |

The river cuts through the city and yet again the building layout respects that. Neat architecture in the background, too.
Anyway, here's what's missing: The floors may be getting more difficult, as a number of questions I was asked at the information booths was not in the pamphlets. Thankfully the pyramid ones were easy, but there may be more questioning the populace in future updates. |

A new version of the "time to get a watch" joke:
And the required "other Mohammed Ali" reference (FYI: Spellcheck doesn't like that version or "Muhammed" which is what I'm used to. It wants me to spell it "Mohamed", which looks bizarre).: I did not know the word klaft! I'm learning! Hooray! And who doesn't like a Dr. Seuss reference? Why are Turkey and Greece options? "Yes, I am sure the Sphinx, which I am looking at right now, is not in the country I'm currently in." |

My brother went to Cairo on business just recently. He was terrified that someone, somehow was going to find out our father had been born in Israel.
I told him he was being dumb and sure enough he was being dumb. |

Well, I went with New York and Tokyo.
New York! Land of tweaked-out Koopas engaging in staring contests, Commercialism, trash in the streets, And Big Brother. Edit: The music! Last edited by Violentvixen; 12-15-2008 at 12:34 AM. |

So this appears to be the first Google Map of these cities that has street view! I'm fairly surprised by that, honestly. And it seems it didn't have that view near the Statue of Liberty, but here's Rockefeller Center and a not-very-good view of the Empire State Building. |

You're asking me a question about the exact object I'm returning? I actually had no idea it was closed once a year. Okay, first of all, I'm returning King Kong which is bizarre enough. Then a Star Wars reference? I picked this entirely because I thought it was funny . . . . . . and it was right! |

Edit: Shinji reminded me to add a link to the music! Went back and added New York's as well.
Onto Tokyo! Hopefully someone has been to one of these places, since it seems like a million people here have been to Japan and I've never been anywhere in Asia. Which is much cleaner than New York although I have no idea what is up with the buildings. The Google Map for Tokyo even gives train trip suggestions if you only have two destinations! Way to look bad, New York! I tried to argue with Street View for a bit, but gave up. Anyone know if there is a way to make it snap to your destinations? |

Non sequitur of the day! The phrase "go on have a feel" should just never be used, ever. Also... Prop 13? Really? I did not expect that in a video game, much less THIS game. A new contender for worst pun in the game! I admit I chuckled. And quite honestly no one had anything interesting to say about the temple. |

Ryogoku Kokugikan
Sensoji Temple Great Buddha of Kamakura There are only two cities left and the voting didn't make much sense anyway, so I'll do those two soon. I really can't get over the Proposition 13 thing. Just bizarre. |

Ah, okay, it seems that Tokyo defaults to public transit while New York defaults to using a car, I just didn't notice the link on the New York map before adding the third destination.

Honestly? No one here had ANYTHING interesting to say. So here's the cactus guy in front of some text! |

Eek. I actually can't think of what the third one is right now. I'm sure it'll come to me. I... don't think it's usually this colour. |

And another boss battle!
It's so ferocious Luigi loses his head! But he gets it back and prevails! What's this, a new chamber, and a switch that opens a door? Gasp! Oh no! What shall we do???? |

What, did you expect pulling the switch again to close the door or something? That'd be weird.
There are no words for the rest of this, so I'm just going to post the screens. |

Holy shit... is he threatening to decapitate Luigi if he doesn't find it?
Most anticlimactic ending ever. Thanks for the great LP, ViolentVixen! I had a great time following along, and even learned a thing or two from it as well. |
