Yocal's head looks like someone inflated a pale blue plastic shopping bag and drew a face on it. This has been bothering me the entire LP. It's not like the other TMDs look good, she's just particularly bad.
If she is considered a beauty, what do the ugly women look like? |

Well, the place still seems to be empty. I guess PANTS should go explore… Stepping through the door causes enemies to suddenly appear, surrounding PANTS. This map is much smaller than what we’ve gotten used to, so there will be a lot of running from room to room. That is not a yes or no question, and PANTS is thus unable to answer him. (I bet middle school was a miserable experience for him with that name). Berdick advances menacingly, but PANTS dodges around the electric chair to find an unoccupied room to set traps in. I had removed Volt Magnet and Fire Ball to make room for Cold Arrow and Laser Arrow, so I substituted Magnet Floor back into the mix. Apparently, we’d never picked up the initial trap bonus for the Wall Spears, but that is quickly rectified here. Twice. Next up is Bashburn, who appears incapable of bashing or burning. Unless…, those are requests? I had originally planned for Berdick, but Bashburn instead shows up from the other door. Oil Vase charges quickly enough to initiate a combo, and Hellfire finishes charging just as Bashburn has gotten the Oil Vase off of his head, but before he’s ready to start chasing again. The Cold Arrow freezes him in place just as he’s trying to stand up, and we just need to wait for the Spring Floor to finish charging. While activating the Lava Vase, Berdick gets a good hit in, but Bashburn is forced to run headlong into the fireplace. Time to run some more! I know we never got the Initial Trap bonus from the swinging Meat Hook in this room, but Magnet Floor and Cold Arrow once again oblige. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any good shots of the hit itself. Pendulum-type traps always knock the victim 1 square sideways so I have a Volt Rock waiting to not quite finish him off. Meanwhile, Bashburn has recovered from his bashes and burns and has revenge in mind. |

Bashburn is too slow and his path takes him through the recently recharged Magnet Floor. On its backswing, the Meat Hook then slams into the back of his head for a no doubt messy death. Berdick broke free of the ice encasing him, but he can’t hobble away fast enough from a pulpifying Volt Rock. I have to assume “married” is a sanitized translation, and with a name like his, I’m not surprised. Great, another Magician. Zodiac was a real pain, and this castle has less room to stay out of Valvolt’s line of sight. Fun fact about Buddhists: they hate being alone and will ignore you to go regroup with an NPC ally. Just because PANTS was away on a business trip, you guys think you can move in? Who do you think you are, Goldilocks? The big disappoint: Laser Arrow isn’t really a laser at all. It’s just a high damage arrow that deals electricity damage and pierces through the enemy to potentially hit another opponent. Now that he can’t back up anyone else, Roshwald comes for a relatively formulaic demise. The Attack Wall throws him just over the Volt Chair, but I have a Spring Floor to toss him back. That worked. The Oil Vase is just to hold him in place until the Cold Arrow charges, and the Cold Arrow is just to hold him in place until the Hellfire charges. Those dying words make absolutely no sense in the final chapter. The chapter isn’t over yet, we still have (at least) one more fairly unimpressive foe to get through. |

Only noteworthy thing here is that the Spring Floor has to be set off as soon as possible. Velvet is a self-healer, and can heal while prone if given a second to catch her breath. Lumber Saw for the deathblow. Ummm… Not too perceptive, are you? The final chapter doesn’t give a summary, so here’s a manual one:
Keith: PANTS, I don’t want to lose you. Keith: That day… Keith: Julia and I went down town to play. And I happened to see you with the Timenoid. Keith: Our parents believed me even though I was so young at the time. Keith: They went immediately to the house of the Timenoids. They never came back. Keith: I believed my parents were killed by the Timenoids. Keith: And that childhood intuition has finally been proven right. Keith: The Timenoids can’t maintain their immortality unless they sacrifice the humans. Keith: This mission was based on nothing but my own thirst for revenge. And many people have died because of it. Keith: I’m no different than the Timenoids who have sacrificed so many humans for their own personal reasons. Keith: PANTS. It wasn’t you who killed my friends. Keith: It was me. I… I sent my friends to their deaths! Keith: Maybe human are only capable of living for selfish reasons after all. Keith: Let’s go, PANTS. Keith: There is no place in this country… Keith: …where we can stay. Yeah... that's not even being subtle about it. I don’t know how much Ark I earned in the final chapter, but some quick calculations reveal that I apparently earned 132880 Ark. That seems unlikely, so I assume the game adds in the value of every trap purchased? If that’s the case, I earned 15880 Ark, which is still high enough to be questionable. Ending #3 awards “Ardebaran” a Vase type trap that inflicts more damage and charges faster than Lava Vase: HTML Code:
Place Damage Charge Cost Ardebaran Ceiling 70 2 3500 Wearers of this cursed mask become lifeless and confused.
Time permitting, I may update this thread with the other endings and demonstrations of the unlocked traps, but FFIV DS comes out tomorrow, and I wouldn’t mind a break anyway. |

Man, when you guys said "incest ending," you meant incest ending.
Still, though! This was fun! It inspired me to try to play through the series a little while back, too. Unfortunately, that plan kind of fell through about fifteen minutes into the original Deception. It isn't as fun as I remembered! |

That incest baby...
You know, I always thought I would have a joke ready when I finally looked into its too-wide eyes. |

Oh no, the incest baby is real. I loved how this final battle was against a random set of enemies rather than anyone who actually mattered.
"Total Soul Suck" hehehehe. |

so much ark it should be cheating
hey guys, I was playing this game when I stubled upon a combo that gives lots of ark and its really simple. it involves the room in the kings castle with the boulder hanging over the stairs. all u need is a vase trap, a bear type trap and attack wall, this won't work with press wall, spike wall or evil kick.basically set the bear trap in the space between the huge oil barrel at the top of the stairs and the wall closest to it; then place attack wall right there so the it can push the enemy and the barrel. hit an enemy with a vase that will cause them to blindy stumble into whatever bear trap u choose use the bear trap. then activate the attack wall to send them towards the barrel which will start rolling and hit them 3 times. since the barrel breaks after it hits a wall. it can only be done once per chapter. but if u can get atleast 3 hits BEFORE the attack wall, like a vase then a cold arrow once they're on the bear trap. then u can use the bear trap and switch the cold arrow with the attack wall in the spot that it need to be. if u do this to one person each chapter , u will leave with so much ark u might think u cheated. if a chapter has someone with more than 150 hp,I highly recomend using this combo on them if u want traps like volt rock, flare rock, laser arrow, and hellfire by chapters 13-15 not to mention all the traps needed to even buy these!!
