Most of the all-hitting fusions (Element -> Paired Element* -> Maha Spell of First Element, or Ice -> Ice / Lightning -> Lightning) will mop up battles pretty easily, in different places. That's the killing side, and you can look up contact documents on gamefaqs to expedite that part. There's a bunch of personality types, like "Arg." (Arrogant) and "Fool[ish]" that appear on demons, and each combination of those has specific reactions to different contacts. Look up the personality you're dealing with and the negotiation usually works out pretty well-though you still have to deal with the random-ish reactions to questions. I don't know any outright "cheats" though.
