An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack is a hack of Sonic 1 based on the dumbest creepypasta ever written. No seriously it's shockingly bad. Don't read it. You're better than that.

I TOLD YOU NOT TO READ IT YOU MORON, I MEAN SERIOUSLY okay whatever moving on.

The hack manages to overcome it's awful orgins by actually introducing something pretty fresh and original gameplay-wise: a weird sort of twist on a high score attack. After a few seconds of play, the game will static, and send you to dark world. In dark world grabbing rings subtracts from your count, all enemies are invincible and your score ticks down at a rate of 10 points per second. Spend too much time in dark world and you just plain die. You can break any monitor to escape dark world, and then try to progress as far as you can in the normal gameplay until it happens again.

What all that means is the name of the game becomes knowing the level design well enough to be able to reach a monitor before shit goes wrong. It's actually really neat! Thumbs up to the creator, you weird dork.

Sonic.exe is still the most retarded thing tho.

ALSO the song I'm singing like a retard is AFS (Annoying Fucking Song) by Madhatter.
