[okay, lets try this again ]
Q and A: Movement: Starting from I-11>I-10>H-10>G10>F10> Action: Prayer Of Healing on : Laurel [D3 Laurel is healed for up to 3 health Q and A Status: 0 wounds, 1 fatigue, TURN: Over (If I've done this right) |

That works! Though a red 3 has two hearts, not three. Laurel only has one wound, though, so she's full up again in any case.
Stiv is up! |

Stiv's taking an Internet break, according to Twitter. Seems like he's dealing with some stuff, so I don't want to pester him about this right now. At any rate, I hope he works it out.
We have a few options as far as the game goes: 1. Wait. 2. A current player steps in to control Stiv's hero temporarily. 3. An alternate player steps in to control Stiv's hero temporarily/permanently. |

Dani has had to withdraw. I think Nich still can't play (Nich, let me know if you can).
Büge, you still interested? |

OK, then! Everything you need is on the first page, except for a file I will PM you a link to momentarily.

Yeah guys I am super sorry but I actually gotta drop out (crazy work stuff too and I'd be holding up the game for another 3+ days?).
I think that means you, Nich, get to take my place! |

One of these days, Stiv, you and I will finish a game. I've sent a note to Nich. If he still can't play, someone else will need to take over as Tahlia — either someone already playing, or someone new. So if you're interested, speak up! I'll give it a day, then we go. EDIT: OK, I don't think Nich's up for it. So if you want to take on a second hero or step in, that's where we're at. Last edited by Sarcasmorator; 03-21-2013 at 09:35 PM. |

I think I'm also going to have to withdraw from this game. I got excited and I thought I could handle it, but the rules are a little too complicated to learn on a play-by-post basis.
Sorry. |

Well, damn.
OK, then we can either go with sraymonds and Mogri controlling two each, or scuttle this thing. |

Let's give it a bit for someone to step up; otherwise, yeah, we can double-team this.

Have you posted that you were doing this LP in the board game thread? Might be able to pick some players up that way?

I'll give that a shot.

Not sure how much time I can dedicate to this, but I could play. I've played 2nd Ed. before so I don't really need to learn the game.

Cool. You wanna be Tahlia, or Okaluk and Rakash?

Let's go with Okaluk and Rakash. Never played as them, nor have I ever participated in a campaign where they have been played.

OK.
Let's not wait for a new Tahlia player for the moment. We've been stalled a week. Anyone playing, go ahead and post a turn for her. If someone comes in later, they can take over; if not, we'll hash out a permanent solution. |

If no one objects, I'll go ahead and do this one.
Tahlia Action 1: Is I9 > H8 > I7 a legal move? That's what I'd like to do. If not, I'll spend some fatigue to get there and I can rework the path. Tahlia Action 2: Attacks the red Goblin at J7. (5 3) = 3 HeartsTahlia: 0 Wounds, 1 Fatigue Last edited by sraymonds; 03-22-2013 at 01:31 PM. |

The Reanimate is in I7. You'll need to take a fatigue to move to I6. You can still attack the master from there, however.
Master goblin rolls 3, 1 shield. I play Dark Fortune to reroll the defense die, with a result of 6, for three shields. Master goblin stands at 2/4. 2 OL cards in hand. MY TURN. |

Round 1 — Overlord turn
OL draws 1 card. 3 in hand. Hero damage/fatigue/condition status: Laurel: 1 fatigue Tahlia: 1 fatigue Monster damage/condition status: Master Goblin Archer: 2 wounds Last edited by Sarcasmorator; 03-22-2013 at 01:56 PM. |

The goblins run for it, taking two movement actions each!
It takes 2 movement points to move into water, so they can't quite get away. I can list specific movement spaces for each if you all want (you can't interrupt their movement except with abilities like Tahlia's, and that can only be used once — let me know if you want to employ it, sraymonds, every goblin runs past or through her with Scamper, so all are valid), but the end result assuming no interruption is: Master: B4 Minions: C4, C5, C6, D6 I'll let you decide if you want to use that feat before I move the Ettins. |

I will spend that surge and use the sword to make him reroll.

Tahlia flips him off for triple damage.

OK, on to activating the Ettins.
One weird thing about this game is large monster movement. You "shrink" them down to one of the spaces they occupy, count movement from there, and then "expand" them to fill up any clear spaces connected to their destination spaces. As OL, you can legally get a little extra distance out of this if you, say, interrupt your movement to attack. I'm not doing that, though. Instead, I'll shrink Mauler to F3, move to E2 and expand into E2, E3, F2 and F3. Then I'll shrink the master Ettin to H4, move to G5, then G6, expand it into F6, F7, G6 and G7, and attack Tahlia with Reach: 3, 6 — 5 wounds and a surge. I'll note that, as this is an intro scenario and we've had a bunch of lineup shuffles, I've avoided making the nastiest possible move here — I could have wedged my master Ettin into the south passageway and used Throw on Tahlia to toss her back into the starting area, which would pretty much ruin all chance of stopping any goblins from escaping or killing Mauler. As things stand, the heroes won't be able to get to the goblins in time, but if they can manage to kill Mauler before my next turn comes up, they might yet win the day. |

Defense Roll : 5 - 2 Shields
I could reroll, but 5 is a fairly decent roll. EDIT: After Surge: Tahlia: 6 Wounds, 1 Fatigue |
