Do we want to call the one that turns into a robot "Robokity", then?

Default Block 2 begin

One more addition to the key. If character names are there and dialogue is occurring without being italicized then I just made it up.

(Meanwhile in DarkmoonCITY the common populace is having a merry time, speaking to friends and loved ones about the tournaments that will fill the next few days.)

S TamerBoy: I think it’s going to be Sukekiyo and Kakumi. I’m looking forward to it.

WereGarurumon: Yeah, me too! I would have liked to be in the tournament!

MegaKabuterimon: Yeah really! I would have done well if I had entered!

(Considering how pathetic both teams were in the Normal Tournament…he’s actually pretty right.)

S TamerBoy: Speaking of Bronze Light Fang have Gaoh and Lyla.

S TamerGirl: The day after tomorrow is the Silver Tournament. What if I got matched with Ideon of Light Fang?

(OK just one thing before I continue. “Ideon of Light Fang” was in silver text for some reason. I do not remember seeing ANYTHING in silver text during Digimon World Dawn. Seriously, huh? It's not like Gaoh and Lyla were in bronze-ish text either.)

Garurumon: No problem…No matter who I get matched up with, I’ll get them with my Freeze Fang!

(Meanwhile near the entrance to CITY, the guards and a citizen seem to sense something wrong.)

MetalEtemon: must be tough.

BishopChessmon: It’s my duty to for the people. [sic] I’m okay if everyone can feel safe.

RookChessmon: But, something’s been bothering me. It’s just one of those feelings…

MetalEtemon: You know I’ve been feeling uneasy too. I wonder if it’s because of the tournaments…

(Inside the entrance)
G TamerGirl The Normal Tournament really was exciting.

G TamerBoy: Yeah…I really liked Nepet.

Cherubimon (Evil): Which team do you think will win the next match-up?

Ghoulmon: Well, you can’t underestimate the Light Fang…

(Oh dear. Another earthquake shakes the server and there is now a loud, blaring alarm playing for the rest of this.)
G TamerGirl: The alarm! What’s going on?

G TamerBoy: I don’t know… What happened?

Cherubimon (Evil): The CITY alarm never went off before?!

Ghoulmon: Well it could be nothing.
(…I don’t know what’s more insane there. The idea that the alarm’s never gone off meaning they don’t have drills and the like and therefore shouldn’t know what it sounds like, or the fact that Ghoulmon just said it could be nothing when the game just implied they never run drills or anything like that.)

(I’ll let that speak for itself)

Ghoulmon: DarkmoonCITY is beyond this point. I can’t allow anyone suspicious through!
(The virus laughs manically, shoots out orbs of darkness or something and makes all the humans fall asleep and turns the Digimon into DigiEggs. The virus then goes through the teleporter and shows up behind the guards and a wall.)

BishopChessmon: Don’t move! I can’t let someone like you pass! I won’t let you get into DarkmoonCITY!

RookChessmon: Don’t underestimate CITY’s security! This shield can’t be penetrated.

(And with that, security is thwarted and the shield is penetrated. No really.)

:33 Urrrggh. ac is suddenly woken up by the koala yelling in her ear. OK OK this better be important. ac needs her cat-naps.

Phascomon: Something has happened in CITY! CITY’s security was attacked by a virus…Everyone in CITY has turned into a DigiEgg. The security at Home has also been infected by the virus…Nepet your Digimon has turned back into a rookie.

(OK that’s both right and wrong. The line is written in a way to presumably be referring to Digimon in the sense of a plural in which case has is the wrong word. But if it is referring to singular then it’s weird cause two Digimon were turned back into rookies but the sentence itself is right)

Phascomon: If even the strict security of Tamer Home is like this…CITY must be in worse shape…The Farm Shop might even be closed…

Nepeta: What? That makes no sense at all. Why are the houses better guarded then the CITY containing dozens if not hundreds of Digimon? It’s like if…at my world nobody could break into my cave but I could walk to Derse and stab the Black Queen in the face.
Phascomon: Derse? Black Queen?
Nepeta: Long story. I’m just saying that’s stupid and horrible security planning.

(OK one more metaphor. It’s like if you can’t rob a house but bank robberies are pretty easy to commit.)

Phascomon: Even though you got a Farm Island Card as a tournament gift, you won’t be able to get a Farm Island…how unfortunate…At any rate, you should go check on CITY! If you’re ever low on HP and MP you can come back to the home and restore them. So…come back and see me often.

(Basically it’s exactly how it sounds. You use the teleporter to go inside your house and you HP and MP are instantly restored to max. Of course doing so requires leaving the dungeon and starting over so during long, arduous story missions I would not recommend that.)

(BlackAgumon)

BlackAgumon is a being that is on its way to adulthood. Unfortunately due to this it has a low power which contrasts with its fearless and ferocious personality. It has hard, sharp claws on both its hands and loves to demonstrate its power in battle. It is also a being that foretells Digivolution to a great and mighy Digimon. BlackAgumon has only really been in the video games such as this one.

(Lunamon)
Lunamon is a mammal whose design is derived from that of a rabbit. It was both from the fusion of data from and meant to help moon-watching. With its ears Lunamon can hear sounds from any distance but it is also timid leading to it developing attachments easily and being unable to stand being alone. Lunamon is also one of the supporting characters in the first season of Digimon Xros Wars which is being dubbed in America as Digimon Fusion.

(Goburimon)
"Goburimon AKA Goblimon: Goburimon is based off a mythological goblin and is said to be sly but yet never disobey a strong Tamer. That mohawk gives it great pride. In the anime Goburimon is either a cameo appearance or a monster of the week. In Digimon Tamers Goburimon's digivolution to Fugamon brought on by Calumon helped the Tamers realize Calumon's powers."

(OK now for you non-Digimon fans I will explain Digivolution and why this is a bad thing. Digimon are essentially data which reside in both the Digital World and Earth’s electronic networks. As beings made of data they can download more data and grow stronger. If they gain enough data they can grow and Digivolve. Digivolution wildly alters a Digimon’s appearance and attributes but the personality itself is unchanged. If the Digimon cannot maintain enough data to keep the form active then they will later revert back. Digivolution is split into 7 forms but in this game six. First all Digimon are created as Digi-Eggs. That’s what the virus has turned all Digimon in the CITY into. After the Egg hatches they are in a form known as Fresh. Then they digivolve to In-Training, then Rookie, Champion, Ultimate and Mega. The Japanese version is roughly translated as Baby I, Baby II, Child, Adult, Perfect, Ultimate. However in this game there is no Fresh level and it starts off right at In-Training. Basically what the virus did was remove all the levels and power that Skully and Bec had and erased that data leaving them as level 1 children. OUCH. That Cherubimon and Ghoulmon you saw earlier are both Megas.)

:33 ac walked to the main office of Night Crow to find out what’s going on. When she got there it seems the virus broke in and is trying to destroy Night Crow!

Julia: Trying to takeover my mind. No…Can’t lose…

ChaosGallantmon: Must get rid of the virus data that has entered…Won’t last much longer than this…ugh…

Julia: …Nepet? Be…careful…This…one’s…no…ordinary Digimon…

(Yes all those ellipses were truly there.)

(Boss 1: ???)

(Just to make the situation a bit easier to understand in RPG terms. Look at these numbers and compare them to Bec and Skully’s numbers in the first block. Massive drop in everything.)

:33 As ac fought the weird skull-egg, it summoned bats which did dark damage and poisoned my friends, did something called Dark Crusher, summoned a giant cat which did light damage…I don’t know what’s weirder about that… and it also shot a small fireball.

(Boss 1 defeated, rewards= 25 holy and 25 dark exp, 300 bits and a healing item that heals 200 HP in one zone. Skully and Bec went from level 1 to level 5 as a result.)

:33 As ac beat the skull-egg it did a sort of scary laugh at her and poofed away! All VWOOOHM and stuff!

Julia: I’m saved…You did it.

ChaosGallantmon: Thank you Nepet. You saved my life.

Julia: So, who was that anyway? That strength…

ChaosGallantmon: I don’t know. But there’s no doubt…it was trying to take over our minds…

Julia: At any rate go check on CITY. If there are any injured, they’ll need to be rescued.

Default Lots and lots of text

Punch: systems? That’s such a hassle!

Gutts: Well! This is ridiculous! I can’t do something so tedious!

Barone: Punch, Gutts, don’t talk like that. This is also important work for the Union…

Newton: Since we were back at the home, nothing happened to us. But the others took severe damage.

Dorothy: Nepet, Newton, Chief Julia wants to see you.

:33 ac decided to go with Newton and see what Julia wanted. She does wonder what help Newton could be though…

Julia: We don’t know who the enemy is yet. But the virus program has caused serious damage to CITY’s systems. Access Zone is not functioning. Dark E Area, Dark S Area, and Dark N Area can’t be accessed and communication is cut off.

ChaosGallantmon: In addition, Center Bridge is blocked from traffic. Sunshine and Darkmoon are completely cut off from each other.
(In other words the whole city as well as Light Fang’s city is all cut off from one another. That’s never good.)

Julia: The only places we were able to restore the link between CITY and DigiArea are in three places: Sunken Tunnel, Chip Forest and Thriller Ruins.

ChaosGallantmon: Nepet, I’d like you to go to Sunken Tunnel…I want you to search for any leads about the enemy. I don’t think destroying CITY is their only objective.

Punch: Chief Julia let us go too!

Gutts: We can help…Right everyone?!

Barone: Umm…Chief Julia…I request your permission also…

Julia: Request denied! You all have work to do restoring CITY. It’s also too dangerous outside for you to go investigate.
(And yet Newton will be perfectly fine…whatever floats your boat game)

Punch: We’ll be okay!

Gutts: Yeah we will!

Barone: What should I…But, I want to be with everybody…

ChaosGallantmon: No! I can’t let you guys handle it!

Punch: Tch, Okay fine…Forget it. Let’s go everyone…

ChaosGallantmon: I understand how they feel, but there’s no choice. And the shops, farms and digilab have been restored. But there are still other areas needed to be checked out. So we still need them…

Julia: Well then, Nepet. I’d like to ask you again. Go and investigate Sunken Tunnel. Be careful.

:33 ac decided to make the koala happy so she went to the store to renew her Farm Island Card!

Braun: Hey Tentomon, what should I buy? I managed to save enough bits to buy my first Farm Island, but what should I do next.

Tentomon: Hmm…let me see…A new Farm Island is just a Basic Island…You should renovate the island at the Farm Shop or…go to the Goods Shop and buy Farm Goods…It’s hard to decide which to do first.

:33 As ac listened to these two talk about Farm Islands and stuff the koala called her over her watch!

Phascomon: Hey Nepet, you should hurry up and exchange the Farm Island Card…for a Basic Island at the Farm Shop! Well then Phascomon will have a snack and wait in front of the Digi-Farm PC.

ToyAgumon: You can modify your Farm Island here. Oh, are you Nepet?! Chief Julia contacted me. Do you have the Farm Island Card? First, name your Farm Island. You can’t change it later, so be careful.

:33 ac decided to name the island what she thinks it is in this game,
(Yeah I’ll show it later but…I don’t care for it.)

ToyAgumon: I see…that’s a nice name. Now, next…I’m sending an…access pass to your Digi-Farm PC…Oh! That’s it! Congratulations! You are now a Farm Island owner! Please come back to the Farm Shop in DarkmoonCITY…Thank you!

Phascomon: We’re done with these settings too. I’m so happy <3 It’s our first Farm Island. Nepet, you can use a DigiFarm PC now! This is great, yay! Next you should collect a lot of bits and buy a Terrain Board…or Farm Goods. Well, I’m going to get a snack.

(This is the equipment shop as can be seen. The requirements for items are species and level.)

(Here’s the Farm Goods that were mentioned earlier. They have “data size” which basically dictates how many goods you can have on the farm, what stat it affects and presumably the highest it can bring a stat up to. The problem is that normally the Digimon seem to use the goods at random and the stat growths they bring are pretty low so I see the whole island as pointless.)

(And here’s a screen describing the island. BGM boards and Terrain boards both make it so certain species of Digimon will have their EXP intake at the island increase by the percentage stated in the terrain and BGM but other species have the EXP intake lowered. DPU stands for Digimon Per Unit or basically how many Digimon can be on the Farm Island and memory is what data size is used for. So for example I could put two of the punching bags on the island but nothing else.)

:33 After that ac decided to actually do Julia’s assignment for her.

Kapurimon II: Yes, you. Come over here.

Kapurimon I: Oh, it’s you Nepet. Union work, right? I already know about it. Be careful.

Kapurimon II: I’m sorry about the misunderstanding. I thought you were going to force your way out like the other three.

Kapurimon I: Anyway, I wonder where those three went…

Kapurimon II: It’s dangerous outside…I hope those three are doing all right…

S TamerBoy: know what’s going on outside. It’s dangerous.

Punch: Heh! We’re fine!

Gutts: Hey Barone! Hurry up!

Barone: We apologize for acting on our own…But don’t worry, we’ll be all right…

Gutts: Here I go! See ya!

S TamerBoy: Well then, suit yourselves! I’m reporting this to Chief Julia!

Punch: Go ahead! We’re going to prove to everyone how dependable we are.

(So you go in the teleporter, go to Sunken Tunnel, walk about 5 steps…and find Barone.)

Barone: Oh Nepet, it’s you! I’m glad…I didn’t know what to do…When we got to Sunken Tunnel the wild Digimon suddenly attacked us and I got separated…Punch and Gutts kept moving on…I should have brought Digiar and a GateDisk…What should I do………Should I go back to CITY?...Umm…But…Okay, Nepet. I’ll go back to CITY. I’m only in the way here…I’m really sorry. I don’t know what came over me…Please take care of Punch and Gutts.

(Betamon)

Betamon is an amphibious Digimon who has a gentle and quiet personality. When Betamon gets angry however, his electrical power shocks all around him, friend or foe. His name comes possibly from the Japanese betabeta which means sticky, beta the type of fish, betanko which means squshed or the second letter in the Greek Alphabet. In the anime he’s the Digimon partner of an American kid named Michael and helped fight a monster of the week. In the anime and most other canons he Digivolves into Seadramon which is a giant sea serpent. He does not however in this game.

(And here’s our Parlyz Heal of this game to use Pokemon terms.)

(This is an interesting item. A GateDisk takes you right back to that yellow room with the teleporter where Cherubimon and Ghoulmon were in the opening and you can then go to the DigiHome and heal. Problem is you’ll then need to start the dungeon over again. The puzzles will be solved though.)

(Kapurimon)

Kapurimon is an In-Training Digimon whose name is derived from the word Kaburi or cap. Within the two horns attached to its helmet, it has two atteanae which can receive any radio wave or sound. Kapurimon uses echolocation in order to see making it able to act regardless of if it’s day or night. It has superior durability for an In-Training Digimon.

(This ladies and gents is the DigiLab PC. Digiconvert is basically that once you scan 100% or higher on a Digimon you can go to this menu and create your own. However this brings the data back down to 0%. At a Normal Tamer level as Nepet currently is she gets 15% per fight with an In-Training, 10% per fight with a Rookie and 5% per fight with a Champion. Digivolve/Degenerate is practically useless unless you are digivolving/degenerating Digimon within the DigiFarm because the ones in the party you can digivolve/degenerate at any time within the pause menu. Special Digivolution is DNA Digivolution or Armor Digivolution. Basically if you fulfill special, unspoken requirements within a Digimon you can either use DigiEggs you find within treasure chests or combine two Digimon in order to create a new and unique Digimon. I will be using DNA Digivolution a lot later in order to create one of my favorite Digimon in the series.)

(Oh this is a problem. If you look back you can see Skully’s current aptitude means his max level is 20. However there are two ways to increase aptitude. One being Digivolving to a higher level for the first time and the other being degenerating. I decided to take the easier way.)

(Botamon )

Botamon is a usually Fresh-level Digimon whose name is derived from bota otherwise known as coal debris, Botamochi and botai which means womb. As such it is a black and squishy newborn. As it has just hatched it is unable to battle but has grown thick, black fuzz on its body and can produce bubble like-objects to intimidate its foes. Botamon is usually only seen in a cameo role but is also the Fresh form of Agumon in the first season of the anime.

(After this I realized the same problem applies to Bec here so I degenerated him and then Digivolved him into another line just to give Bec another level to hit the required stats. I will give the entry to the In-Training form and the other line's Rookie.)

(Tsunomon)

Tsunomon’s name is derived from the word tsuno which means horn. It has hardened one of its feelers from its Fresh form which does not appear in this game. It is covered in tufty body hair. It is still very playful and has a prank-loving personality however its combat instinct has not yet awakened. It is the In-Training form of Gabumon who is our next entry. In the 4th season otherwise known as Digimon Frontier Tsunomon is a student at a Digimon School. In the past it learned how to digivolve but was mocked and feared for it causing Tsunomon to lash out against the world.

(Gabumon)

Gabumon is a reptile whose name and design is derived from Gabu Kashira which is an old Kabuki puppet that could change its face from that of a timid maiden to a horned fiend with just a pull of the string. Although it is covered by a fur pelt it is still clearly a reptile. Due to its timid and shy personality it gathers up the data left by Garurumon and shapes it into a fur pelt. Because of it carrying the pelt of Garurumon which other Digimon fear, it fills the role of safeguarding itself as a result of protecting its body. When wearing the pelt its personality does a complete 180. Gabumon was one of the Chosen Digimon in the first season otherwise known as Digimon Adventure and was parterned with Yamato or Matt depending on your language. He was one of the only Digimon able to go Mega by the end of the series and could be argued to be one of the main Digimon of that season. Gabumon was the one who helped Matt out whenever he started to lose himself and was a very loyal Digimon. In the distant finale of the second season known as Digimon Adventure 02 Gabumon as well as Matt became astronauts and landed on Mars despite their mission meaning to go to the Moon.

(Ladies and gents here is the reason this one took so long. He was a rare appearance in a different map and I had to go and find 10 of him. The fight where I found the 10th one gave me 2 so I have 110%. Once I degenerate him and digivolve him into another line we will have a Catwomon.)

(Kumamon or Bearmon depending on the series)

Kumamon is a mammal whose name is derived from the word Kuma or Bear in English. It wears its trademark baseball cap backwards. Although it starts off timid it quickly becomes bosom buddies with other Digimon. Once it begins to battle its uncommon physical strength as well as its willpower to continue battling despite the damage it has received it becomes very reliable. It binds its fists in leather belts so its special punches can’t hurt it. In the Digimon Frontier movie he was secretly best friends with a Kotemon despite there being a war between humanoid Digimon and beastly Digimon.

(Wanyamon)

Wanyamon’s name is derived from the onomatopoeia for both a dog’s bark and a cat’s meow in Japanese so as a result it looks like a mix of a dog and a cat. Its data also came from small animals such as dogs and cats. Its unexpected movements are quick and it can easily get away but if shown affection like a pet it will become very attached.

:33 AAWWWWWWWW. ac finds this thing to be a very adorable ball of fluff! ac cuddles it.

(Anyway back to the mission)

( BlackToyAgumon)

BlackToyAgumon is a ToyAgumon that was infected by a virus. As a result it now bullies children instead of loving to spend time with them as programmed. Its blocks are sturdy however when surprised it falls apart.

:33 Now this was weird…the valve here seemed to be rusted. As I stood in front of it and tried to turn it, it didn’t move! ac got really mad and kept turning it for a couple minutes until it worked!

(Yeah…basically the way this story mission works is that you find the valves to shut off the pumping water and then you can advance to later spots in the map. Rinse and repeat until you’re at the end. The problem is that the valves were glitching for me. I pressed A but they wouldn’t work. I had to walk back and forth pressing A until they finally worked.)

(Kotemon)

Kotemon’s name comes from kote which are the fencing gauntlets used in kendo. Its mask is also a men which is the mask used in kendo. Kotemon is a swordsman. He is silent and refuses the remove the guard on his face. This leaves it so nobody knows what it truly looks like. Its role in Frontier was explained with Kumamon.

(Hagurumon)

Hagurumon’s name is derived from haguruma which is gear in Japanese. Its entire body is built out of gears and the gears are constantly spinning. For this reason, if even one gear was missing, all gears in its body would stop spinning and it would become unable to maintain its vital functions. Hagurumon has a special ability to send a virus to its foes to control it at will which is manipulated by fiendish Digimon. However due to Hagurumon lacking a sense of self it does not know it’s being misused. Hagurumon has mostly been another cameo Digimon but it was the main villain of one episode in season 5 of the anime where it fused with a toy robot and then a house making it a giant toy-robot with Hagurumon in its left eye.

(Note this does show the original name for Kapurimon before I changed it to Voltmon. But know from this point on he is Voltmon, defender of the universe.)

(PawnChessmon(Black))

PawnChessmon was both from data leaking out of a supercomputer used to play chess such as Deep Blue. Its power is weak, but it’s promoted when striving for prominience and it is said to conceal the mystery possessing Mega-level power. It has a catchphrase of “I only advance!” It considers its fellows pawns striving for prominence ahead of it to be its rivals. In the fifth season it and its white form were the partners of two members of the titular Data Squad. They usually stay out of battle but in more deadly situations they would also digivolve and they helped keep Digimon from damaging the peace on Earth.

(Gaomon)

Gaomon’s name is derived from the onomatopoeia for roaring and has a design based off of the Akita Inu breed of dog. It is thought to be a subspecies of the Gazimon family that grew pointed claws. The gloves on its hands appear to protect its claws until they are fully grown. In the fifth season of the anime Gaomon is partnered with a kid named Thomas. Gaomon is a very polite and quiet character who in the early episodes would only speak with “Sir yes sir”. When little girls remarked on him as cute Gaomon would blush. Gaomon of course digivolved and reached Mega during the course of that season of the anime.

:33 After wandering through the jungle for a little bit ac made herself some friends and returned to the tunnel. After meeting many new Digimon in the tunnel ac finally found Punch and Gutts!

Raremon: you really expect to defeat me with those skills?! How dare you mock Raremon, ruler of Sunken Tunnel…I’ll crush you!

Punch: Darn, it wasn’t supposed to be like this…Gutts, here he comes! Watch out!

Gutts: This is bad…He’s way too strong…Punch…Let’s apologize and ask for forgiveness. Nepet! What a relief! Help us!

Raremon: Who are you…? You want to fight me too? Do you really think that you can defeat me? Don’t mock me! I’ll crush you all at once!

(Boss 2: Raremon)

Raremon’s design is derived from Hedorah otherwise known as the Smog Monster from the Godzilla movies Godzilla vs Hedorah and Godzilla: Final Wars. Raremon tried to extend its life by mechanizing its body, however doing so destabilized its data and its configuration data has broken down to the point all its muscles have rotted away. However, due to the machines it cannot die leaving it to survive with this appearance. Because its body has broken down it has no offensive power or mental capacity and acts on instinct. It also emits a noxious stench from its body that causes Rookies and lower to run away.

(Now this boss fight can be summarized very quickly. Yue trying to paralyze it and Bec and Skully shooting fireballs at it until it dies. Boss 2 defeated. Rewards=400 machine exp, 400 bits and a Digireviver.)

Raremon: Huh? What am I doing here? Was I fighting with you guys? …? …can’t be. I feel light headed…Did I catch a virus…I’m sorry if I caused any problems while I was half asleep. I’m going home to sleep. See ya.

Punch: Nepet, thanks…You saved us…We could have beaten that guy without your help! Don’t get in the way!

:33 ac felt very sad by Gutts yelling this at her…she was about to cry and mention that he was going to give up when Gutts walked away and teleported back home…This world is not purrfect at all…

Punch: I’m sorry, Nepet…He doesn’t mean it...He’s actually quite grateful to you…Really, thanks. It’s embarrassing but we’ll go apologize to Chief Julia…

(Cut to Julia in the Night Crow Headquarters with Gutts, Barone and Punch)

Julia: ChaosGallantmon, don’t you think they’ve had enough? It looks like they’ve learned their lesson. Nepet, welcome back. You’re back safely. Welcome back. Well done. I heard about Sunken Tunnel from Punch and the others.

ChaosGallantmon: The enemy attacked not only CITY, but the entire Digital World including the DigiArea. The virus the enemy unleashed has polluted the object program of Digimon and the Digital World.

Julia: Nepet, there’s no telling what will happen next. Stay on the alert. I’m counting on you! Well then…Punch, Gutts, and Barone. As punishment for causing everyone problems, you guys help with the systems check! Do Nepet, Newton, and Dorothy’s work also!

Barone: Understood. We’re sorry…

Gutts: Aaahh, we’re back to doing system checks again…

Punch: Then why don’t you go to Sunken Tunnel again alone!

Gutts: Ahh! No, not that!

Barone: No! I can’t forgive them! They left me all alone at Sunken Tunnel. They just went ahead without me…

Punch: I’m sorry Barone…it was just the heat of the moment. We thought that you were right behind us.

Gutts: Yeah, sorry…Barone, you’re brave so I thought you were actually in front of me.

:33 After this ac decided to talk to Julia, Raigo and the hand with an eyeball on it.

Julia: CITY’s reconstruction isn’t going as fast as we were hoping.

Raigo: CITY has suffered more damage than I thought.

Tsumemon: I want to digivolve to my original form ASAP.

:33 As ac teleported out of the office she overheard another conversation.

Mister Lin: I don’t feel like it.

Kabukimon: If you don’t take on quests, you won’t become a great Tamer. Just go to Dark Center and take on a good quest.

:33 Mister Lin and the Kabuki monster went inside Dark Center and ac decided to follow them and learn more about the quests.

Mister Lin: Quest Counter!
Kabukimon: That’s right.

Kabukimon: This counter is for the Union quests. If you work hard and clear many quests, sometimes the Union will call on you specifically. Quests have a difficulty level, so be careful.
Mister Lin: I see. Thanks Kabukimon!

(That mostly says why I’m doing these. First off it’s very good EXP and cash flow. Not much work for a decent reward. Secondly these are actually required. To unlock the next story mission you must have done and completed some of these quests beforehand. For the next one I believe I need to do 2 but I will show you one of them in this block and the other 3 later.)

(This is how the mission screens show themselves. The objectives to complete, where you go to complete the mission and the stars indicate difficulty. 1 star obviously indicates it being an easy mission even for this point in the game. )

:33 ac went and found the armadillo that is waiting outside the Center!

Armadillomon: Hi Nepet. I work making Red Shoes. But I’m all out of Bark and Paint Oil. I heard you can get both at Login Mountain. It’s too dangerous for me, so I want you to get the Bark and Paint Oil for me.

(Now the way these missions work is even simpler. So basically you will wander throughout the dungeon at whatever area you are sent to and opening treasure chests. Once you find the Bark and the Paint Oil which are both in chests you leave Login Mountain and talk to Armadillomon. That wouldn’t look interesting in either video or screenshot form so let’s just cover what I found at Login Mountain.)

(Tokomon)

Tokomon’s name is derived from the onomatopoeia for trotting. As such it is one of the few In-Training Digimon that can actually walk. In-Training Digimon that have grown limbs are very rare and the appearance of its limbs are incredibly cute. However, despite its cuteness if you stretch out your hand it will suddenly open its mouth and bite you with the fangs hidden within. Despite this, its personality is very innocent and any malice is nonexistent. It is the In-Training form of Patamon who will be covered soon.

(Monodramon)

Monodramon is a miniature dragon whose name is derived from Monos or ancient Greek for one and the Dramon species. Despite its batlike wings it is unable to fly. Its personality is not so much rough as it is close to brutality giving the impression that it loves fights. Even in the Digital World, Monodramon is in fights so often that even Ogremon and other angry, fight-loving creatures are fed up with its tenacity. Also the horn growing behind it is said to be its weak point but this has no degree of truth. Monodramon was the Rookie form of Cyberdramon which was the Digimon with Ryo in the third season known as Digimon Tamers. Ryo and Monodramon were also the main protagonists in the WonderSwan Digimon games.

(Hawkmon)

Hawkmon is a very polite Digimon. It is always calm, cool and collected. Just like Veemon, Hawkmon is descended from a special species that flourished in ancient times which leaves it able to harness the power of Digi-Eggs to Armor Digivolve. In Digimon Adventure 02 Hawkmon was partnered with a young girl named Yolei. In the English dub Hawkmon had a very snooty and pretentious personality and a British accent. He was able to Armor Digivolve into 2 forms during the course of the show and could also DNA Digivolve with Gatomon.

(Patamon)

Patamon’s name is derived from the onomatopoeia for flapping. It is known for its big ears and it is able to fly by using them as big wings. However it can only fly at a speed of 1 kph so it is faster walking. It has an extremely obedient personality leaving its trainers/Tamers well-defended. It seems to hold some sort of hidden holy power and it has inherited the genes of ancient Digimon. In Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 Patamon was partnered with a young kid named Takeru or T.K for short. Patamon has a playful, sensitive and childish personality which matched with T.K during Digimon Adventure. Patamon was always the last in Adventure to digivolve but when it did it was usually one of the most powerful Digimon in the battle and Patamon was responsible for defeating 3 of the major bad guys of the show, even sacrificing his life to defeat one of them.

:33 ac found the Bark and the Paint Oil in the mountain pretty easy and went back to give them to the armadillo.

Armadillomon: Thank you Nepet, you found me the Bark and Paint Oil! Now I can make Red Shoes. Everyone will be happy. Now get your reward at Dark Center!

(Sidequest 1 complete! Prizes for quest: 90 Tamer Points, 3680 bits and a novice blade.)

Okay this is actually a surprise for me to type. I've been blazing through this game and Dawn wasn't that bad at this point.

However the 4th boss here is actually pretty dang powerful AND seems to have something like a 90 or 80 percent chance to inflict poison with its attacks.

So it's time for grinding. Ladies and gents play whatever 80's Training Montage music you want in your head.

I've got a skeleton rhino-monster to beat.

Default Block 3 begin

(Before we begin today I’d like to talk a bit more about the Farm Islands. This is the Tiny Field. It could be argued to be essential if you are going to be used the Farm Island. When the “day” on the island begins you have 20 things of food. While this is enough while they’re at lower digivolution levels, it’s good to prepare for a possible lack of food ahead of time. To use for examples in the Digifarm I converted another Kapurimon who will be known as Kap to separate him from the one in my party and a BlackToyAgumon who I jokingly decided to name as Anon due to him apparently trolling children online. So as a result of them I wanted to make sure they got more Machine EXP and could gain a good amount of EXP per day. Therefore I bought these two items.)

(These are the results of those said items.)

(There are two possible options you can do in the Digifarm. You can either talk to the Digimon or decide how they’re training for them. If you talk to them it’s things like this.)

Anon: I’m Anon, a ToyAgumonB! What’s this Farm Island like? I’ll be fine if there’s lots of food! Kap’s a newbie here right?! We belong to the same species! So, I think we’ll get along fine.

(Yeah it isn’t needed. At all. It does raise Friendship but so does them just slowly being in the farm with food. The other option is Training which looks like this once completed for the “day.” Also besides Farm Islands being a slightly quicker and easier way to level your Digimon you also can use them to unlock more sidequests. For example if I had a Lazy Tsukaimon in the farm then it would unlock another side-quest where that Tsukaimon would give it out. All of those types of sidequests will be in a later block.)

(I also decided to talk to most of the NPC’s. While most of them didn’t matter, there was one guy who interested me.)

Robert: of Light Fang!

(While he sounds paranoid…pay attention to people like him. This is foreshadowing for the game from the half-way point on and what most of Night Crow will be thinking.)

(To get here you go down from Dark Office which is the far right screen and then continue to go down until you see them. (top left talks about stats, aptitude and traits, top right about attacks and multiple forms of attacks for which the main things worth noting is that each Digimon has 4 attacks that can be transferred or swapped as they Digivolve and degenerate and 1 attack that is exclusive to that Digimon. As they Digivolve that exclusive attack becomes incredibly powerful. However there is one dialogue I’d like to mention. That dialogue is the one about “Multiple Attacks”. Bottom talks about Digivolution which I’ve already covered, middle right talks about items and middle left talks about the Farm Island some more.)

B TamerGirl: Some skills can attack more than twice on one turn. It’s a convenient skill to attack multiple ranges or give damage to one enemy. But, those skills consume more MP.

(Bec actually has one of these. It’s called Gattling Punch and costs 15 MP. With it Bec can do roughly double the damage of Skully or Yue. If a Digimon learns a Multiple Attack keep it for as long as possible and use that Digimon in your main fighting force. Catwomon also uses Gattling Punch which combined with his attack stat being close to Yue gives me a reason to currently swap Yue to the bench.)

(Traits on the other hand are sort of like abilities from Pokemon in that they can increase your attack or accuracy. I will therefore tell you the traits of Digimon used in my party as time goes on.)

(Skully also has Dark breath which increases resistance to Dark attacks and AttackUp 2 raises the attack of those who are in the zones next to BlackAgumon in battle. Yue has Speed 2 which raises speed by 10, Quick 1 which slightly increases the chance of dodging and DefenseUp 2 for those next to her. Lastly Bec has Powerful and AttackUp just like Skully but also has MoneySaver 1 which adds a small amount of extra cash to each battle.)

(Now for the last thing before I start the sidequests I want to show you what a successful “day” at the farm looks like.)

(Now that all of that is over with it’s time to start the sidequests.)

Dark Sidequest #1

Find Tsukaimon who is lost in Thriller Ruins. (Thriller Ruins is where we started the game and Tsukaimon is a purplish-black guinea pig who we may encounter on the way.)

Step 1: Talk to Pagumon in Dark Plaza. (OK this one was confusing to me too but here’s the rough directions to Dark Plaza from the quest-givers. First go to the upper-right until you enter Dark Gate. From Dark Gate go to the upper-right again. Then go all the way to the upper-right of that screen until you reach a dead end. You will then see a bunny-esque head. Talk to him to start the quest)

Tsukaimon: You’re going to listen to my request, Thanks! During that earthquake I got separated from my friend Tsukaimon in Thriller Ruins…Since then Tsukaimon’s been missing and I’m worried. Will you go find him for me? He’s probably still there.

Step 2: Find Tsukaimon in the Thriller Ruins
(First you walk in the center and walk in a roughly upper-right direction which is the only path you can travel, though the starting ladder leads you to a MP restoring item. After you travel on that path you’ll see a ladder. Climb the ladder and talk to the Tsukaimon you discover there.)

Kokuwamon

Kokuwamon is a Machine Digimon based off of the Stag Beetle as well as the Taser. It was just recently discovered. Insect-Mecha Digimon such as this were not discovered before and weren’t even imagined to exist. Because it discharges 100 megavolts of electricity you must be cautious around it. However it also displays a docile personality which wishes for tranquility. In-game he MAY be a pretty decent Digimon because one of his attacks has a chance to cause paralysis.

Pagumon

Pagumon is a Digimon who has a design and name based off of the Pug. Pagumon resembles the Koromon species but has blue colouring, rabbit-esque ears that can be used to grasp objects, red crescent moon shaped eyes with black irises and a wicked personality.

Tsukaimon: Huh? Pagumon was worried and looking for me? Then I’d better hurry back home!

Step 3: Report to Pagumon
(Now this one is simple. You could either use a Gate Disk and return to where Pagumon was in Step 1 or you could exit the Thriller Ruins by going back to the entrance and then return to where Pagumon was. Due to me wishing to save my Gate Disks for emergencies I decided to do the latter.)

Pagumon: I’m glad. Tsukaimon was safe! Thank you for finding him. Now get your reward at Dark Center!

Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter.
(This one is very simple. You return to Dark Office and go to where you receive your quests and now you can go to any counter and then you receive your reward.)

(Sidequest 2 Complete! Reward= 60 Tamer Points, 3280 bits and a Speed Ring alpha which is an equipment item that rises your speed by 10 points. Doing 2 sidequests also unlocks Story Quest 3 but I wish to do all available sidequests that don’t involve the Digifarm before I go to that one.)

Machine Sidequest #1

Find an Iron Pillow in the Sunken Tunnel
:33 ac was very confused. What would be the purpose of an iron pillow? Isn’t the point of pillows to be soft and comfortable? I just…this makes no sense to ac. This is a world that’s purrrrrfectly insane.

(The only other Iron Pillow I found on Google…is an object in Azaroth. So time for me to start one of my counters!)
“Digimon is weird/insane” counter: 1

Step 1: Talk to Kapurimon in Dark Square
(Dark Square is reached by walking approximately to the bottom-left screen transition from the Center. You walk past and ignore the previously shown group of tutorial tamers and then as you’re walking to the next screen you will see Kapurimon in the middle of nowhere once again.)

Kapurimon: Thanks for taking my request! I need you to go to Sunken Tunnel. I can’t sleep well since the earthquake, but I had an Iron Pillow that lets me sleep well. I left it in Sunken Tunnel. Please go find it for me!

(Before I started this step I saw Voltmon was not going to reach the 100 Speed requirement by level 21 that he needed to Digivolve to Champion so I degenerated him back to Kapurimon. During this step Catwomon also learned Small Tornado and due to it both attacking in two zones and being stronger than Charge, I swapped Charge for Small Tornado)

Step 2: Find an Iron Pillow in the Sunken Tunnel
(Once you enter the Sunken Tunnel go down the ladder then go through the upper exit. Then cross the small bridge of garbage but walk past the second. Take the turn and cross the last bridge of garbage and then enter the next screen. You climb the next ladder you see and talk to the Digimon you see.)

Gizamon: Did I see an Iron Pillow? Yeah, I just found one and picked it up. If you want it, then you’ll have to fight me for it!

Gizamon

Gizamon is a Sea Animal whose name is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia for serrated. It grew fins on its hands and feet to paddle through water. It is more suited for life on water than land, because while it swims quickly underwater, on land it is restricted to frog-like hops. Gizamon were usually just minions or cameo roles in the anime.

(after beating it easily…)
Gizamon: Ouch, you’re very rough. Huh? The previous owner? If that’s the case, then hurry and give it back to him!

Nepet got an Iron Pillow!

:33 Yay? ac was confused on why he had a change of heart and why she had to beat it up first. This seemed…forced.

Step 3: Bring an Iron Pillow to Kapurimon in D-square
(Once again leave Sunken Tunnel and find Kapurimon in the same area he was before)

Kapurimon: Nepet, Welcome back! Yay, that’s my Iron Pillow. I’m so happy you found it. Thank you. Now, get your reward at Dark Center!

Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter.
(Sidequest 3 complete! Reward= 95 Tamer Points, 3685 bits and another Novice Cloak.)

InsectPlant Sidequest 1: Find an L-Mushroom growing in Chip Forest

Step 1: Talk to Tanemon in Dark Square
(Go to where Kapurimon was for Machine Sidequest 1 but a slightly different spot.)

Tanemon: So you’re gonna do me a favor? Don’t tell anyone but I want to eat an L-Mushroom. I heard you can find them in Chip Forest, but I couldn’t find any. Could you go take a look and find some?

Step 2: Find an L-Mushroom growing in Chip Forest
(First off enter Chip Forest from the transporter then go through the next two screens normally. By this point if you’re opening all the chests you should have found the ForestKey. If you haven’t found it yet, go to the left screen in the same screen as the “firewall” blocking you and check in there. Once you activate the Key and go through the now open screen transistion take the immediate dead end you see on entrance with the treasure chest and go to it. Inside the chest is the L-Mushroom.)

http://i.imgur.com/LmuNnue.png

http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Kokomon

Kokomon has a name derived from chocolate and therefore it’s supposed to be brown. Its personality and that of Gummymon are opposites but they get along well and act in unison. If you separate the two, they will weaken from loneliness. In the anime Kokomon was the In-Traning form of Lopmon who was the partner to a six-year old girl named Susie.

Mushroomon

Mushroomon has a name and design based off of the mushroom. It grows tiny, poisonous mushroom bombs from its body. If one gets hit with these mushroom bombs, they become unable to stop laughing, their body becomes completely paralyzed, all of their memories until now vanish, and they start showing various symptoms. It loves to bully the weak but also has a shy side. It is yet another Digimon mostly known for being a minion.

Gummymon

Gummymon has a name derived from gummy and is therefore squishy. It is cheerful, lively and energetic. It has an unstable body tissue and is squishy but it has a hard horn and likes to give headbutts. It is mostly known as the In-Training form of Terriermon.

Kunemon

Kunemon is named from the onomatopoeia for wriggling and is designed from the wasp grub. Because Insect Digimon children are very unique beings among other Digimon, its digivolved form is still unclear. Kunemon has lightning designs over its body and it is unknown if the designs around its eyes are actually its eyes but it is believed to be so. Its personality is known to be malicious.

Tentomon

Tentomon is a Digimon who has a name derived from and a design based on the ladybug or “Tentoumushi” in Japanese. It has a hard shell but low aggression. It has one claw on its fore-legs and four claws on its hind-legs and mid-legs and the mid-legs can grasp objects like a human hand. It has naturally friendly sentiments, and displays its carefree way of life by doing things like sniffing the scent of flowers and napping in the shade of a tree. Tentomon was the partner to a kid named Izzy in the first season of the anime. Tentomon was precocious and adored his partner and only went up to Ultimate in the series.

Step 3: Report to Tanemon in Dark Square
(You know what to do by now.)

(While returning to complete this step Goburimon learned Tiny Bomb. Due to me wanting to both have a split of fire-elemental moves and physical moves as well as Small Cutter doing the same thing as Light Tackle but being worth more I swapped Small Cutter with Tiny Bomb.)

Tanemon: Hey, Nepet! Welcome back! So you found me an L-Mushroom. I’m so glad. Now I can eat it and feel really really happy. Actually, I degenerated and felt really lousy. Thanks, Nepet! Now get your reward at Dark Center!

:33 did ac just give that plant some drugs? ac feels really bad now, knowing she’s a drug dealer.

Step 4: Receive an award at the quest counter
(Sidequest 4 complete! Reward=60 Tamer Points, 3280 bits, and a Bronze Plate which is a piece of armor for all those above level 10 and it increases defense by 15 points.)

(Now that we’ve done all of that we can start on the next Union quest AKA plot mission. Technically this was unlocked after only 2 of those sidequests but I will do all of the ones here at the Center when unlocked. The Farm-quests will be done later. Much later. I however will try to upload the rest of this block later this morning.)

Plot quest 2: Explore Limit Valley!

Step 1: Go to Union Room and talk to Julia

Sukekiyo: has appeared in the Digital World.
(Yeah that lower-case w is there for no reason. This game's translation is falling slowly apart. I half-expect to find a line still in Japanese at some point.)

Kakumi: The Digimon are calling the new DigiArea Limit Valley.

Julia: Limit Valley…We should go check it out. We need to find out if it’s safe…

ChaosGallantmon: Sukekiyo, Kakumi, both of you please go and investigate the mysterious DigiArea immediately.

Sukekiyo: Yes sir!

Kakumi: Got it!

:33 As the meeting ends, ac happens to walk in and see Julia. ac is about to say sorry for being late when she starts to talk.

Julia: I’ve been waiting for you Nepet. Sukekiyo and Kakumi are already on it, but I want you to go investigate Limit Valley, the DigiArea that’s appeared recently.

ChaosGallantmon: Anything can happen. Just be careful.

Step 2: Go to Limit Valley to investigate

Biyomon

Biyomon is based off the name is derived from the onomatopoeia for tweeting. Its wings are able to grasp objects due to them becoming like arms but this also impedes its flying. It usually lives on the ground, but when danger draws near it escapes by flying away. However, since its flying ability is on the same level as Patamon, it sees Patamon as its rival. Its dream is to Digivolve into Birdramon which can fly freely through the sky. Biyomon was another one of the partner Digimon in season one of the anime. It also only reached Ultimate but showed the Birdramon line very well and was usually a force to be reckoned with when it entered fights.

Agumon

Agumon is a short and stout creature based off of the T-rex. It has flattened forearms with three-clawed hands with arms and legs that are incredibly vascular. It has a stubby tail and a head and snout nearly as large as its body. There are three different Agumon in the anime worth talking about. The first one is in the prequel special to the first season. A Digi-Egg appears in the household of the protagonist and his sister when they are 7 and 4 respectively and later hatches into a larger than normal Agumon that takes the girl across the city, Digivolves and then beats up a giant parrot…yeah that happened. The next one is the main Agumon that is partnered to the protagonist of Season 1. He was a very peppy and childish Digimon and was the other Digimon to go to Mega in that season. The last Agumon was partnered to the protagonist in Season 5, making Agumon the only Digimon to be a lead Digimon twice from my research. The design for the Season 5 Agumon is the one we’re currently looking at though both Digivolution paths ARE represented in this game.

Renamon

Renamon’s name is based off of the word “Renard” or French for fox. According to the director of the third season of the anime Renamon was actually supposed to have been named Lunamon. Renamon is a Digimon whose relationship with humans is expressed bluntly, so depending on how it was raised during its time as an In-Training, it is said that it can digivolve to a Renamon of particularly high intelligence. It is always calm, cool and collected and is practiced enough to never lose that composure. It has a tall and slender form compared to other Rookies and makes sport of those it fights. In Season 3 it was the partner to a girl named Rika and started off very cool and almost cruel but became slightly more emotional and “human” as the season continued.

(Go behind your entrance point to find both a ladder and a dead end with a treasure chest in it. Open it to find a healing item that affects two zones. After that go back to the teleporter and take the bridge to your left until you hit the screen transition. Then take the next bridge, climb the ladder and go through the screen transition. Cross the bridge once again and then take the bottom path and open the treasure chest on the dead end to pick up a healing item for three zones which may be essential for the later boss fights. Go back, climb the ladder and take the bridges to the next screen. From this screen (which should have a darker sky and if it doesn’t find where you turned wrong) climb down the ladder you see on entering and open the treasure chest to get a Broad Shield. This increases resistance to light by 30, Spirit by 9 and Defense by 23 but it can only be used by Holy-type Digimon level 20 or higher. Climb up the next ladder you see on the original floor to find the boss.)

(Now because these guys appeared in the last room their entries will go here. This does not apply to the Digimon in the earlier posts but I am still testing out which looks better. Instructions or Digimon first.)

Seasarmon

Seasarmon is named after and based on the Shisa. It can sweep away calamity and shows tremendous power to evildoers. It is an ally to those with a kind heart and will protect its Tamer even at the cost of his own life. However it is also docile and usually lays in the sun to replenish his life energy. All of this then makes the events of the next couple minutes make…no sense at all. Hooray.

Drimogimon/Drimogemon

Drimogemon/Drimogimon is a Beast based off of both a drill and a mole. Drimogimon is a giant mole with a big drill for the nose and has smaller drills for nails on its hands and feet. Drimogimon is another monster of the week/minion

(This is our third boss, the “Mystic Energy”. It is also another form of the purple egg boss we fought previously. That blue paw on the bottom of the screen is showing that I scrolled the camera to show him. You can move the camera by touching the touch screen and moving it in the direction you wish. The top screen is rarely shown due to it just being Farm Island stuff.)

(Due to this being a boss as well as lower health for the main 3 I swapped Skully onto the bench and put Yue into action partially due to Yue’s attacks having a chance of poison and Paralyze.)

Mystic Energy: heheheheheh…Welcome…I’ve been waiting…Tamer of a dying Union…I am going to give you your new orders.

:33 ac prepares to fight the black egg. ac will not betray this world and give up so easily!

Mystic Energy: You can’t defy me. Don’t try to resist…

(The Mystic Energy summons a Seasarmon behind Nepet)
Mystic Energy: Seasarmon…Defeat this Tamer…

(Limit Valley Subboss: Seasarmon)

:33 Wait…didn’t ac already beat one of these things up? Well this is a bit too purrfectly easy. I could probably finish this mission while taking a cat-nap. I mean…wow.

Mystic Energy: I have to hand it to a Union Tamer…Seasarmon was no match for you.

Nepeta: Well yeah…I mean come on, I beat one of them up 10 feet from your face. You should have known how this would go.

Mystic Energy: Oh so you wish to mock me? You think I was playing too easy on you?

(The Mystic Energy summons 3 Sand Yanmamon.)
Mystic Energy: Then how about this? Think you can win?

Nepeta: Well…um…that might be a bit harder…this isn’t going to be fun.

Sukekiyo: What’s this? It’s just three Sand Yanmamon. Nepet, we’ll help, so be grateful.

Kakumi: It’s tough having to look after a great Tamer.

Mystic Energy: Heheheheh…How feisty…But your existence isn’t needed in this world…So you’ll all be deleted right here.

Grimmon has a name and design based off of the Grim Reaper. He was introduced for this game and has never appeared anywhere else. As such I don’t have any real info to give on him or a reason to show his article in the Digimon wiki. Instead I will cover a quirk him and a few other bosses have. He actually covers 3 zones. As a result any multi-zone attacks such as Catwomon’s Small Tornado will hit him 2 or 3 times. This is nearly essential to drain their massive health bars.

(Boss 4 defeated!)

Sukekiyo: That was close. Nepet, you’re a Night Crow Tamer so win smarter!

Grimmon: I’ll bid farewell for now, but remember this. You will all perish by the hands of one of your own…

Sukekiyo: Who was that anyway?

Kakumi: Who knows?

Sukekiyo: You were saved because of me. Nepet, be grateful.

Kakumi: Don’t do anything to tarnish the Night Crow name.

Sukekiyo: Back to CITY! Let’s inform the leaders!

:33 What did…what did ac do wrong? ac tries not to cry as she walks back to the teleporter.

Monochromon

Monochromon is based off of and named from the potential dinosaur species known as the monoclonius. However this species of dinosaur isn’t really believed to exist partially due to a lack of adult specimens. Monochromon’s horn is his pride with which it gores enemies with a charge. When his horn grows it reaches the size of half of Monochromon’s length. His horn and the substance which covers his body is harder than diamond and nearly unbreakable. It is normally herbivorous. Monochromon was usually a mook/cameo role.

Gaogamon

Gaogamon still is based off of the Akita Inu dog breed and its name is also now derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia for a wolf’s growling. Gaomon’s physique has obviously gotten larger, and its steadily growing claws are protected by his gloves. Although it is a quadruped it can also stand up on two legs and attack in a bear-like manner due to its leg strength. Gaogamon was the Champion form of Gaomon in season 5 of the anime.

(Also…what’s wrong with its model? It looks like it’s meant to be more CGI in a way but no other Digimon I can think of has that effect going on and the rest of the line looks normal.)

Lekismon

Lekismon is a Digimon whose name and design is derived from the rex rabbit. It has gained great jumping power and agility and its gloves are named the “Moon Gloves.” Lekismon has never appeared in the anime.

Step 3: Investigation complete?! Go back to Union Room
(Basically take the teleporter right next to you and then walk back to Union Room to activate even more talking.)

(Monochromon has Protect 3 which raises defense by 15, Fire Aura 3 which raises resistance to Fire attacks and Attack Up 3 for a support. Lekismon has Speed 3 which adds 15 speed, Quick 2 which gives a higher chance to dodge, and DefenseUp 3. Lastly Gaogamon has Speed 3, Sniper 2 which increases the hit rate of attacks and Attack Up 3.)

Sukekiyo: …So it appears that we have fallen right into his plan.

Kakumi: Who in the world was he anyway?

Julia: I don’t know…

ChaosGallantmon: This enemy and the enemy that destroyed CITY…they could both be the same individual…

Sukekiyo: Come to think of it…I’m concerned about what he meant by “perish by the hands of one of our own.”

Kakumi: Don’t pay attention to the likes of him.

Julia: There’s no way to tell yet.

ChaosGallantmon: Since we can’t communicate with SunshineCITY now…We should be careful not to speak of such things lightly.

Julia: At any rate, we don’t have enough information yet. Let’s carefully conduct our investigation. Now Nepet…well done. I’m glad to have such a talented Tamer as a member of Night Crow.

ChaosGallantmon: I look forward to your future performance.

:33 Well that makes ac feel pawfully wonderful. Julia thinks ac is a good Tamer who does great work.”

Julia: Well done everyone! Keep up the good work! Collect your reward at Dark Center!

Sukekiyo: Yes sir!

Kakumi: Got it.

Step 4: Receive an award at the quest counter
(Mission 3 complete! Reward=110 Tamer Points, 7180 bits and the Digi-Egg of Love.)

There are some really frightening little monsters in this update. That Seasarmon's grimace reminds me of Bowser Jr.'s intimidating bandana.

Default Block 3 end

Plot mission 4: Sortie to Loop Swamp!
Step 1: Go to Union Room and talk to Julia

Julia: Welcome Nepet. I have a job for you to do. I want you to go to Loop Swamp where a link has been reestablished.

ChaosGallantmon: Deep inside Loop Swamp, we’ve detected illegal activity similar to the virus program like the one that attacked CITY.

Raigo: Chief Julia, Nepet doesn’t have enough experience. Shouldn’t we send a more experienced Tamer?

Zanbamon: Nepet is still inexperienced…There’s no telling what will happen…Shouldn’t we call Sukekiyo’s team and let them handle it?

Julia: You’re right…but…

ChaosGallantmon: I think Nepet is capable of handling it. Go to Loop Swamp and find out what’s causing the illegal activity. Also, watch out for the whirlpools in Loop Swamp. You can enter the big ones but not the small ones.

(Well the problem is that I never noticed a size difference between whirlpools which makes this very confusing.)

Step 2: Find source of illegal program in Loop Swamp

(Go to your immediate left once you teleport into the swamp to get another Bronze Plate. Ignore the whirlpool behind you and go to the screen transition. After walking for a bit take a turn to the left and go in that whirlpool. There will also be a dead end after the whirlpool containing a healing item that restores HP to full. Take the only path you can take and you’ll be back at the entrance. Go through the only other path and take a left to get a speed ring alpha. Go in the whirlpool by the vines and then go into the next whirlpool you see once you leave. After that go onto the land and try to go the screen transition. Go straight again to find the boss.)

Numemon

Numemon is a mollusk-inspired Digimon whose name comes from the onomatopoeia for slimy in Japanese. It prefers dark environments and is neither strong nor smart. In earlier Digimon games as well as the original Tamagotchi-esque game if you made a mistake in raising your Digimon you would get a Numemon. Numemon is usually a monster of the week but was a well-meaning sort in the first season. A group of Numemon were among the many Digimon that were slaughtered in the final arc of that season.

http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Poyomon

Poyomon is a In-Training Digimon whose name was inspired for the onomatopoeia for toddling. With its translucent body it swims through the Net Ocean (or Macro Sea I guess in this game) like a jellyfish. It seems to have the most primitive form known currently leading people to study it to find out the origins of Digimon. It shoots acidic bubbles from its mouth in order to defend itself. In the anime it was the In-Training form for Patamon and rarely appeared. Outside of that it is usually another cameo role.

http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Seadramon

Seadramon is a Digimon that seems to have its design inspired by the Loch Ness Monster and its ilk. It uses its long serpentine body to wreathe itself around its opponent and suffocate them by constricting. It lacks intelligence and speech as well and just mindlessly swims according to its instincts.

Otamamon

Otamamon is a Digimon whose name and design is derived from the word otama which is an abbreviation of otamajakushi which can mean either tadpole or musical notes. As a result its line all have something to do both with frogs and music. Otamamon is known mostly as the rookie form to Gekomon and the two Digimon are usually seen together.

Weedmon

Weedmon is basically a green pallete swap of the Digimon Veggiemon. It has only been seen in videogames and is sometimes called Zassomon in English materials. It has developed lengthy ivy and sharp fangs.

Shellmon

Shellmon is a Digimon whose design was derived from the Sazae-Oni in Japanese mythology. It is a hermit-crab like creature who dwells in the margins of the ocean. Although it has a turtle-like appearance it seems to have a mollusk-esque body. Due to its body needing a new shell each time it grows the new shell also grows until it is the size of a small mountain. It has low intelligence and a belligerent personality so travelers should be careful. In the anime it is once again used as mostly another monster of the week in the earlier episodes. I do personally really like Shellmon’s design however for some odd reason.

Kamemon is actually a Cyborg Digimon who is based on both a turtle and a computer mouse with the ball on its stomach being a track-ball and the rest fitting accordingly. In season 5 of the anime it is constantly underfoot, trying to serve drinks to the members of the government/police-esque organization known as DATS. He is very loyal to his partner who is actually one of the commanders in the operation.

Yanmamon

Yanmamon has a name and design derived from the dragonfly. It carries electric power and swarms throughout the Digital World. It is normally just a possible recruitable enemy in Digimon video games however in Season 5 of the anime one of them carried a Digimon known as Gotsumon around and also seemed to be friends with that Gotsumon. However he suddenly vanished at one point in the anime and his fate was left unknown.

Gekomon

Gekomon is said to have been created from the data of a famous piece of music. Gekomons have an interest in anything musically related. The horns around his neck as well as three holes in his tongue can be used to make music that can influence the feelings of those around them. They usually live in swampy areas along with Otamamons and their ruler ShogunGekomon. Gekomon can actually sing really well partially due to their practice during their time as Otamamon. In the anime it usually either cameos or is the focus of a more comedic and music based episode along with ShogunGekomon and Otamamon. In the first season they used one of the kids’s singing voices to wake a ShogunGekomon up. This let her seiyuu Ai Maeda use her singing voice and potentially have a song to use for her character’s character song.

Kogaman

Kogamon has only appeared in this game and is also a palette swap of another ninja-based Digimon. He happens to have the Speed 3 and Quick 2 traits presumably meaning that his main use is to be incredibly speedy. He can also be DNA Digivolved with his palette swap known as Ninjamon.

SkullBalushimon: Are you the client?

Nepet: Uh…yes. Yes I am!

SkullBalushimon: Then let’s get down to business. Here’s the D Word you asked for. It has a program that destroys server archives in it. It was created from the virus you gave me! But that won’t let you destroy the archive completely. Now, give me the goods you promised.

:33 ac suddenly felt really nervous. ac decided to make things up and ad-lib.

Nepet: Uh…you see I don’t have it. I left it in my other pants.

SkullBalushimon: What? You don’t have it?! That’s not what we promised!

Nepet: Well maybe someone as big and stupid as you doesn’t deserve something as good as what the boss gave me at all. So give me the D Word and run on home to your boss, before…before I…

SkullBalushimon: What?! Are you mocking me?! You’ll pay!

SkullBalushimon

SkullBalushimon has a design and name derived from the potentially fake mammal species known as the Baluchitherium. It is created from the data of several counterfeit fossils, which were the data of a fossil of the largest land mammal. It is said to have no intelligence or emotions and it will keep mercilessly attack until it can no longer move. It is said that it can plunge any Digimon into pure terror through the black mists it exudes from its body.

(SkullBalushimon is both another 3-zone boss meaning he’s got a very high amount of HP and he also can poison with most of his attacks. Those two things combined make him an absolute pain to fight. He is actually I’d argue one of the toughest bosses at least in the early game. I did defeat him though causing my entire team to level up MASSIVELY and also finally giving Goburimon enough levels to become Ogremon.)

SkullBalushimon: You’re…a lot stronger than you look…Are…you…a Tamer from the union? So you are…Now that the Union knows, I guess there’s no choice…A certain individual hired me to make a certain item…I’ll get any item I’m hired to get. That’s how I do business. Understand? I’ll give you this. It’s a D Word. It should help in restoring CITY…Now I’ll send it to your Digivice. This job was a failure…

(Um…I don’t WANT a virus in my Digivice. That sounds like bad things waiting to happen.)

Ogremon

Ogremon is said to be a bounty hunter Digimon. It is normally known as the Digimon Hunter. Its arch-enemy is Leomon and he has two similarly-colored counterparts. It is said that the bone club it is holding is the femur of a slain SkullGreymon. In the anime he was a slightly ineffectual adversary against Leomon but he did turn out to be a slightly nice guy in the end who only wanted to fight Leomon. He also was killed during that season.

(Ogremon has Powerful 3 which raises attack by 15, Mother Earth 3 which increases resistance to Earth-attacks, and Attack up 3 for a support)

Step 3: Found the D-Word?! Return to Union Room
(Once again go into the teleporter right in front of you and then return to the union room.)

Julia: Well done Nepet. The engineers are studying the D Word you acquired right now.

ChaosGallantmon: SkullBalushimon…This is a problem…

Researcher: Chief Julia, we figured it out! The D Word that Nepet acquired is a boost program that reinforces the mysterious virus.

Julia: Virus?
(Metal Gear?!)

Researcher: Yes, it’s a highly contagious worm virus. But based on our analysis, we were able to determine a way to restore CITY. We conducted a test and we succeeded in restoring Dark E Area in Dark Terminal.

Julia: That’s good news! Then can we restore the other areas?

Researcher: No…the virus seems to have built a resistance to the vaccine we created…It had no effect on Dark S Area or Dark N Area…

ChaosGallantmon: I see…Then it’s no use. Continue your investigation to see if there are any other options.

Researcher: Understood!

Julia: If we were able to restore Dark E Area, then we should be able to restore other areas! Let’s keep working! Nepet, keep up the good work! I’ve sent the reward to Dark Center, so collect it at the quest counter on the way back.

(Just one more conversation. I’m going to talk to that golden man on a golden horse.)

Zanbamon: WaruSeadramon…It was…something like…Umm, I can’t remember. Oh! Kowloon! I think that’s the same! It was a member of that!

(Now while this is good foreshadowing and actually says what group SkullBalushimon is a part of but…wow that’s a TERRIBLE translation error. WaruSeadramon has SkullBalushimon’s role in Digimon Dawn. As in the other version of this game. That’s like if Pokemon Ruby suddenly said Team Aqua is evil for a line or if Platinum referenced Rocket.)

(Mission 4 complete! Reward= 115 Tamer Points, 7185 bits and a Novice Blade.)

Next time: We explore Dark E Area, do the next set of sidequests and maybe see what else about this mysterious virus we can uncover. Remember that any non 3-zone Digimon that have been shown are possible for me to obtain.

Then he can currently be Team Member #6 filling our bench and team slots for now.

Also I did my research but I'd like to doublecheck. So I used the four passwords in Digi-Colliseum and I'm going to show off what they give. Other than the four passwords on GameFaqs are there any other passwords?

(Well one thing before we start. For this update I decided to explore a bit more of snarky commenting on the game as well as giving the Digimon personalities to interact off of. Tell me what you guys think.)

Warning: Incredibly text-heavy in these early parts. The plot mission starts here and goes until the end of the block.

:33 Hey everybody! ac here once again! I just want to report you on something. It seems that after these last few days of missions, my Digimon have decided to be ac’s friends. Not only that but they’ve decided to start talking and everything. Normally ac would love to have new friends but…they’re so annoying! Help ac please! :/

(Before we start the missions today, I wish to show you guys what Dark E Area looks like. On the left side there is a Ogremon and Floramon who both tell you what personality for their species is needed for a sidequest. We will cover those side-quests later. )

All four of these Digimon are new stores which sell higher-class items and the Deputymon in the left side of the first picture sells healing items and Wizardmon sells Equipment. The beetle AKA Kabuterimon sells Farm Goods and Mojyamon (the Yeti) sells healing items. I must say though that while Dark E Area’s music does not fit the desert theme that it is a nice track.

Dark sidequest #2: Find the Pink Lipstick

Step 1: Talk to Kokomon in Dark Plaza
(Kokomon is standing right next to the store in Dark Plaza.)

Kokomon: Oh Nepet, I’m really in a bind! I dropped the Pink Lipstick my friend gave me in Chip Forest! That’s Nanimon’s territory so I can’t sneak in myself! Nepet, please go to Chip Forest and find the Pink Lipstick for me!

Lekismon: Oh my god pink lipstick?! That would fit with my scarf perfectly! Can we ask Kokomon where she got that lipstick after we get it for her? And why would Nanimon have it?! I mean he’s like so ugly and it would, like, completely clash with his colors!

Nepeta: Yeah, yeah sure. I’ll ask about the lipstick or something.

( Just to let you guys know the main two Digimon here are a Prissy Leiksmon AKA Yue and a Prissy Ogremon AKA Skully)

Step 2: Find the Pink Lipstick in Chip Forest

Chip Forest is another early-game jaunty theme that does have a nice tone and feeling to it.

(Go through the Chip Forest as normal but instead of going through the formally fire-wall protected gate, take the path that goes to the left. Follow that path normally and you will find Nanimon just standing there near the end of the path like so.)

Nanimon: Hey you! I’m Nanimon and this is my territory! Don’t trespass!

Nanimon
Nanimon is an Invader Digimon that is good at boxing. It is stated to be from another dimension. He used to be tyrannical but evolved to a more softer nature after the invasion. He soon adjusted to the “survival of the fittest” that governs the Digital World and turned out to be tough himself. His name is based off of the Japanese question “Nani?” meaning “What?”

The battle theme for all fights is unfortunately rather dull and repetitive and best and sadly lacks a lot of the charm and flair that can be felt in a lot of the soundtrack. Considering that this song also interrupts the song on the map and forces it to loop, that is a major problem with the music design of this game due to random encounters possibly being on every space.

(Now if you are doing some form of the mission order I’ve been doing so far, this fight is ludicrously easy. Fighting Nanimon is basically like fighting one Digimon during a random encounter in Loop Swamp. Humorously Nanimon even gave less EXP than most fights in the Swamp would have, exposing what could be argued as sequence breaking.)

Nanimon: Ouch. What do you want? Huh, Pink Lipstick? Oh, yeah, Kokomon dropped it. She was trespassing. So if I give you back the Pink Lipstick, you’re never coming back? Then here, take it.
(Pink Lipstick obtained!)

Lekismon: Do we have to give it back? I mean look, it’s even a little used! And come on Kokomon is pink anyway! Wouldn’t it, like blend in with her skin and be, like, unnoticeable?

Ogremon: While that may be true, I think Mistress Nepeta’s career would be ruined if she got caught as a thief. As her partners we should be encouraging to do the right thing.

Nepeta: I’m sure you two geniuses are both right, KK? Let’s just deliver this package and maybe we can take a little catnap. (These two are so grumpy, I swear.)

Step 3: Give the Pink Lipstick to Kokomon
(Like usual, return to where Kokomon was in Step 1.)

Kokomon: Yay, you found the Pink Lipstick! Thank you! I’ll be careful not to go wandering into someone else’s territory from now on. Your reward is at Dark Center. Go get it there. Bye!

Nepeta: Well…at least she’s learning. I’m happy to see some of these people here learning from their mistakes.

Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Once more, return to the Dark Center and talk to any quest-giver.)

(Sidequest 5 complete! Reward=150 Tamer Points, 6590 bit, Poison Core alpha which increases resistance to being poisoned. I might actually recommend doing this quest before the Swamp just for a free one of these rings against SkullBalushimon.)

Beast sidequest #2: Apemon’s Golden Hair

Step 1: Talk to Shamamon in Dark Office
(All you need to do is walk outside the Center and walk down a few steps and you will see Shamamon.)

Shamamon: What’s up, Nepet! We’re Shamamon and we’re really big fans of Apemon! We want Apemon’s Golden Hair! Nepet, would you please go see Apemon and get it for us? Apemon should be in Limit Valley!

Lekismon: Ew, really? He wants us to pluck a hair? That’s kind of creepy for fans to do. If anyone tries to take my hair, you’d keep me safe right, Nepeta?

Ogremon: Master Nepeta, are we really going to give this scoundrel a hair? That seems mighty unusual.

Gaogamon: Yeah, can we please keep mine and Lekismon’s hairs safe? As we become celebrities for how awesome we are, people will want this for us!

Nepeta: OK fine, fine, we’ll become celebrities and your little hairs will need to be kept purrfectly on your little heads. Thanks for warning me.

Step 2: Talk to Apemon in Limit Valley

Limit Valley has a very Zelda-esque music track with some flute and wind instrumentals and the entire song feels like a decent hiking song and once again garners my approval.

(Walk through the first screen you appear in and then as you walk forward you will see Apemon waiting in a corner.)

Apemon: Huh? Who are you? I’m busy now so…Huh? My fans want Golden Hair from me? Well…I don’t know. If you can get me Beads from Shamamon just a little farther down from here. I’ll give you my Golden Hair!
(Another Shamamon. I got SO confused on my first playthrough. Why is it a Shamamon, Bandai?)

Step 3: Find and talk to Shamamon
(Go through the screen that you were on and also go through the screen with the upper bridge. After you finish that screen climb down the ladder and then go onto the screen with the lower bridge. As you go down the screen you will see a fork with two bridges. Take the southern bridge and you will see a Shamamon to speak to.)

Shamamon: Who are you? What?! Apemon wants Beads? Well, I can’t give them away for free. Let me see. I know! I want Apemon’s Stretchy Bone! I’ll trade you my Beads for it!

Nepeta: This sounds like the worst plan ever. To get something from Apemon, I need to get something from a Shamamon who’s different from the Shamamon wanting the Hair from Apemon but that Shamamon also wants something from Apemon without Apemon getting anything else in return…I’m going to be attacked.

Step 4: Obtain StretchyBone from Apemon
(Go back to where Apemon was in step 2.)

Apemon: Oh, it’s you. Did you get me the Beads? What? Trade them for my Stretchy Bone?! That was your plan from the start! If you want them, you’re going to have to take them by force!

Nepeta: Told you.

http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Apemon
Apemon is a Beast Digimon whose English name is based off of the ape and whose Japanese name as well as the mon design is based off of the mythological Hanuman. Apemon is normally nothing more than an enemy or a cameo Digimon.

Apemon: Here you go. It’s my precious Stretchy Bone. Take it to Shamamon.

Step 5: Bring StrechyBone to Shamamon
(Go back to where Shamamon was.)

Shamamon: What?! You really got it? I was just kidding. I feel bad for Apemon. I can’t take the Stretchy Bone. Now, take the beads to Apemon. Tell him, I’m sorry.

Nepeta: …I can’t…I honestly can’t…My head. It hurts. I hate this world so much.

Step 6: Give Apemon Beads
(Go back to where Apemon was, again.)

Apemon: Did you get me the Beads this time? Huh, the Stretchy Bone? I see, Shamamon decided not to take it. I’ll take it back then. Thank you for getting the Beads. This steel feather is very rare. Now, take some of my Golden Hair. Hurry and give it to them. I’m sure they will be very happy.

Step 7: Bring Golden Hair to Shamamon in D. Office
(Go back to the Dark Office and go back to the original Shamamon)

Shamamon: Nepet, welcome back. Wow, is that the Golden Hair?! Amazing! This is a rare item no one has yet! Nepet, thank you! Your reward is at Dark Center. Go get it there.

Yue: Thanks, I guess…freak. What the hell was with that? He’s so happy about a hair! He’s going to be sniffing and gross stuff like that! You promise me that when you become a famous Tamer, you’ll protect me and my ribbon right?

Nepeta: Yes, Yue…I’ve said this so many times now.

Step 8: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Sidequest 6 complete! Reward=175 Tamer Point, 6985 bits and a Double Axe which is a nice weapon for level 10 beast-types.)

Machine Sidequest #2: Digideli-Cake

Step 1: Talk to Kotemon in Dark Square
(Go one screen below Dark Office and then take the left path that ignores the tutorial square. When you see a Kotemon on the northern path, go and talk to it.)

Kotemon: Hi Nepet. I really like making and eating cakes. I’ve always wanted to eat the legendary Digideli-Cake. I heard that Sunflowmon in Dark E Area will make one for you. Do you think you can go get a Digideli-Cake for me?

:33 OK…ac guesses that robots eat cakes? Aradia never ate cake when she was a robot…or so ac thinks.

Step 2: Talk to Sunflowmon in Dark E Area
(Go back to your Digihome and then go right onto the pink teleporter. On the menu, access the more desert-like area and teleport to there. Once you go into Dark E Area, go around the shop-keepers and climb down the ladder. Go near the stairs and talk to the giant sunflower close to the stairs.)

Sunflowmon: You want me to make a Digideli-Cake? I’m sorry, I’d like to make you one, but I’m all out of SP DigiMilk. If you get me some, I’ll make you a cake right away. Hookmon in the Sunken Tunnel has SP DigiMilk.

Step 3: Receive SP DigiMilk from Hookmon in Sunken Tunnel
Sunken Tunnel has a very nice dark-sounding, exploratory feel to it almost reminiscent of a 16-bit Zelda game.
(Go through the Sunken Tunnel under normal means until you see a pirate-looking Digimon)

Hookmon: What do you want? You want some SP DigiMilk? I’m saving it for Digideli-Cake! I’m not giving my SP DigiMilk to you!

Hookmon
Hookmon is a Champion level Mutant. He lost his right hand to a white Whamon in an obvious Captain Ahab homage and replaced that hand with a hook. His other hand is a cannon for unknown reasons. Hookmon has only shown up in the videogames.

Hookmon: What? Sunflowmon asked you to get some? Why didn’t you just say so. I always give Sunflowmon SP Digimilk in exchange for Digideli-Cake. Please forgive me. Take as much SP DigiMilk as you want!

Nepeta: Well thank you…I guess…can you learn to listen before attacking people next time please?

Step 4: Bring SP DigiMilk to Sunflowmon in D.E Area

(Go back to where Sunflowmon was.)

Sunflowmon: You found some SP DigiMilk? Now I can make a Digideli-Cake! All I have to do is stir in this SP DigiMilk into the batter and bake! It’s done! Here you go!

(After this return to Kotemon)
Kotemon: Nepet, welcome back! Oh, this truly is the Digideli-Cake! Now I can finally eat a Digideli-Cake! Thank you so much! Please get your reward at Dark Center.

Step 5: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Sidequest 7 complete! Reward=140 Tamer points,6580 bits and a Titan Saber which surprising nobody is for Machines)

InsectPlant sidequest #2: Drimogemon the Driller

(Before I started this mission I degenerated Catwomon once again so I can hopefully get into the actual cat-based line soon.)

Step 1: Talk to Tentomon in Dark Square
(Go to around the same spot as Kotemon but Tentomon is on the bottom half of that northern path instead.)

Tentomon: Oh, Nepet. Login Mountain is in trouble. 3 Drimogemon are trying to dig holes in it. If they dig holes without a plan, Login Mountain could collapse. Please go stop the Drimogemon.

Step 2: Stop 3 Drimogemon from drilling at Login Mountain

Login Mountain seems to have the same music as CITY.

(Unfortunately the Drimogemon are all throughout the Mountain so I do not really have a walkthrough to explain it or a real order. Just follow every path and look around with the camera moving function to see if there’s a Dirmogemon. They are however focused in the first couple screens. Since Drimogemon already has been given an “entry” of sorts I’m just going to give the dialogue of all three before and after battle.)

Drimogemon 1: What do you want? I’m very busy right now looking for a place to dig a hole! Huh, stop digging? Be quiet and get out of our way!

(Easy battle)

Drimogemon 1: Darn, you’re really strong! OK, I’ll stop digging! I will!

Gotsumon

Gotsumon is a rocky humanoid Digimon who has a name coming from the Japanese gotsugotsu meaning rugged or rough. Gotsumon can blend his body into rocks to hide, though it’s normally mischievous and cheerful it is selfish and has a large temper. Gotsumon usually doesn’t have a large role but may be in a few episodes.

http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Armadillomon
Armadillomon is a mammalian Digimon who is designed off of the armadillo. It has a changing, carefree personality but can get carried away and injured. Just like Veemon and other species, Armadillomon is a descendant of an ancient species allowing it to perform Armor Digivolutions.

Drimogemon 2: Where’s a good spot? Which way is the next DigiArea? This is annoying. I’ll just start digging anywhere. Hey, who are you? Huh? Stop digging? Digging holes is a Drimogemon’s dream, stop me if you can!

(Easy battle)

Drimogemon 2: How did that happen? I lost, darn! I guess there’s no choice. I’ll see my dream in my sleep.

Veemon
Veemon is a Dragon digimon that was discovered recently. As an ancient species that survived the genesis of the digital world Veemon is also able to perform Armor Digivolutions. It also has hidden power and shows tremendous abilities by Armor Digivolving. Although it has a prank-loving personality it also has a strong sense of justice. Veemon was the main Digimon of Season 2 of the anime with 3 Armor Digivolutions, part of the only DNA Digivolution to Digivolve again and all in all extremely important to nearly every battle.

Drimogemon 3: Hey, who are you? Don’t interfere with my geological survey. Huh? Login Mountain will collapse? No way! My sense of geology says that won’t happen!

(easy battle)

Drimogemon 3: I guess battle sense was more important than geological sense. I’ll stop digging.

Step 3: Report to Tentomon in Dark Square
(Go back to where Tentomon was.)

Tentomon: Nepet, you stopped the Drimogemon. Actually, Login Mountain is a mountain I really like. Thank you so much. I’m very grateful. Now get your reward at Dark Center!

Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Sidequest 8 complete! Rewards= 145 Tamer Points, 6585 bits and a Sleepcore Alpha.)

Plot mission 5: Light Fang Assault

Step 1: Go to Union Room and talk to Julia
(Go into the Union Room teleporter once again.)

Punch: Resistor Jungle.

Gutts: Those guys are really suspicious! They must be the one that destroyed CITY!

-Julia shakes her head as if to say no-
CAGallantmon: But Julia? This is a big problem if the Light Fang really did destroy CITY. We can’t let them do as they please.

Julia: But…we still don’t know if that’s true. We can’t rush to judgment and act carelessly…This is difficult.
-Nepeta enters the room-

Julia: Good timing…Nepet, I have a job for you to do. I want you to go to Resistor Jungle and meet with a Tamer from Light Fang. They might know something…We need to learn more about this incident. Be careful not to provoke them.

Barone: Nepet, just be careful.

Gutts: They think we’re the enemy! Let’s get some payback when we see them again!

Julia: Everyone needs to act carefully. Now everyone, Go to Resistor Jungle and get information from Light Fang. We need to find solid evidence!

Punch: Gutts, there’s no way we’d lose to Light Fang.

Gutts: Of course! We’re the Night Crow!

Catwomon: No, you’ll just lose to a slime monster…

Yue: And Light Fang in the tournament, don’t forget that.

Barone: Well then, let’s go.

Step 2: Get info from the Light Fang in Resistor Jungle
(Before I went to Resistor Jungle I decided to take care of the Digi-Colisseum real quick. The Digi-Coliseum has two main purposes. First off you can use it in order to raise your Tamer Rank. A higher Tamer Rank means that you can increase the amount of data you can scan. Champions will be 10%, Rookies 15% and In-Training 20% at this next rank. Secondly you have this room. The left one has passwords that you use. The middle one gives you prizes for advancing in rank. The one on the right rewards you items as you gain Tamer Points. I am going to show each of the 4 known passwords and what each of them rewards you.)

(This password will get you 100% scan data for DotFalcomon.)

(This password will get you 100% scan data for DotMirageGaogamon.)

(This password will give you 100% scan data for Sukamon.)

(This last password gives you a Legendary Sword, Legendary Robe and a Legend Ring which are incredibly powerful items able to be used at low levels. You can get this at any point so if you wish, you could make the early game even easier by getting these items.)

(Now let’s cover how to raise your Tamer Rank. So in the room before the counter with the passwords, items and prizes, there is a long desk with many Digimon. Many of them give tutorials about battling and the like but at the end of the desk there is a Leomon. Once you speak to that Leomon you can decide to pay the funds for the advancement exam and then do it. I will cover the advancement exam to the Bronze rank while here.)

Nicol: I just became one. Is it okay for me to be a test supervisor? What do you think? Well, I’ll do my best! Do you understand the rules? All you have to do is beat me! Then you’ll be promoted to Bronze! Now, let’s go!

Referee: I’ll be making the final call on this match. Now…Ready…Go!

Advancement Exam 1: Shadramon and Magnamon

Shadramon
Shadramon is one of Wormmon’s Armor Digivolutions gotten via the Digi-Eggs. This one requires the Digi-Egg of Courage in order to create. Shadramon is a butterfly-like Digimon with flame armor reminiscent of Veemon’s Armor Digivolution from the same egg, Flamemon. Shadramon was one of the many Armor Digivolutions not seen in the anime, delegating him to only some small roles in the video games.

Magnamon
Magnamon, the Radiance of Miracles is a Holy Knight Digimon whose name is derived from the Latin word Magna or great. Magnamon is also one of the thirteen Royal Knights spoken about in later anime seasons and the lore of the series. Magnamon’s armor is made from a very strong metal called Chrome Digizoid giving it strong defensive power. According to the lore Magnamon also has offensive power equal to a Mega or stronger though this does not show in gameplay mechanics. Even with someone with the Digi-Egg of Miracles were to fall into a predicament the power of miracles would overcome it leaving Magnamon a very, very cheap creature in lore. In the anime he rarely appeared probably due to the dues ex machine nature of its strength, however he would later appear in Season 5 with the other Royal Knights. Magnamon also commonly appears in the video games.

(Advancement Exam 1 complete! Rewards: 600 Bug EXP, 600 Holy EXP and 250 bits.)

Referee: Winner Nepet!

Nicol: Oh, I lost…I don’t think I’m suited to be a test supervisor.. Wow, you’re strong! Congratulations! We’re both the same rank now, so let’s both work hard.

-Back at the signup desk-
Leomon: Tamer rank went up! Nice going, Nepet. There’s some paperwork, so just sign here…Thanks. Good luck to you!

(This fight also happened to give my Voltmon just enough of both a level and stat boost that he finally hit the 100 speed required for Digivolution.)

KnightChessmon
KnightChessmon is a Digimon that regardless of color is based off of the Knight chess piece. It is an expert at throwing its giant dart. Although it is unskilled at close combat, it can confound its opponent by jumping over them with their horse-like legs.

ac suddenly finds herself pawderning the purrfect match to Eqius this Digimon is

(so now that this all has been shown for now, let’s go back to Resistor Jungle)

Resistor Jungle actually has a very nice tropical-feeling theme with some nice bells and the like. Resistor Jungle’s track could honestly be used in a better game.

(First I will cover any and all Digimon I encountered in this area as well as Digivolutions I obtained.)

Greymon
Greymon is a Digimon whose design is based off of the Ceratosaurus dinosaur. Its cranial skin has hardened so that it is covered in a shell reminiscent of the rhinoceros beetle. It is incredibly aggressive and is covered in sharp horns and claws but is clearly intelligent despite all of that. Greymon was the Champion of the main protagonist of season 1 meaning that it was commonly seen in battles and was well-remembered by most Digimon fans of the 90’s.

Dinohyumon
Dinohumon is a Digimon that lives in prehistoric areas where civilization does not exist. They live in tribes and are aggressive soldiers. Their sword Akinakes is swung thanks to their large muscles. Dinohumon’s most important anime role was of the second in command of the Humanoid Digimon in the movie set in the universe of Season 4.

Gargomon
Gargomon is an animal Digimon whose name and design are based off of the Galgo dog. It is the Digivolution of Terrirmon and is a skilled hunter who lands accurate and nimble attacks despite how it looks. Its leg strength gives it the ability to jump sky-high and it can glide using its ears. It is usually cheerful but can get out of hand if angered. Its jeans are a slight obsession to it. Gargomon mostly served a role in the anime as the Champion of one of the kids in the third season. As that season focused on the main kids equally, that meant Gargomon got some good screen time.

RedVegiemon
RedVegiemon is a vegetable Digimon that is more powerful than the normal Vegiemon. With the addition of pommel spikes on its vines it can easily adapt to hostile environments. RedVegiemon is mostly just a random enemy Digimon in the anime and may be a monster of the week.

Woodmon
Woodmon is a Vegetation Digimon and is a Digivolved form on Mushroomon. Because their bark is flammable, they fear fire-based attacks but their bark is also armor against other types of attacks. Woodmon are ferocious and will disguise themselves as trees in order to absorb the energy of the Digimon they attack. Woodmons are once again monsters of the week and minions.

Dokugumon
Dokugumon is a Digimon whose name and design is inspired from the Wolf Spider or Dokugumo in Japanese. Dokugumon has many computer viruses running through its body. Dokugumon is usually a monster or minion and was once the main minion of the secondary villain Arukenimon in season 2 of the anime.

Wormmon
Wormmon is a Digimon whose design is made off of the bagworm moth. It has a timid and cowardly personality. Just like Veemon and Armadillomon it is related to an ancient species leaving it able to perform Armor Digivolutions. Wormmon however is powerless by itself and it can’t defend itself but is very powerful after armor digivolving. It is also said that Wormmon will evolve into a powerful Champion and has hidden potential for the future.

DarkTyrannomon
DarkTyrannomon is a Digimon that like Tyrannomon is based off of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. It was corrupted by a vicious virus, corrupting its data and transforming it into a frenzied Digimon. As its body turned black, it grew stronger than Tyrannomon and its offensive power as a whole grew. It identifies anything it sees as an enemy and will attack it in a frenzied state. DarkTyrannomon is usually the muscle of villains in the anime.

Kuwagamon
Kuwagamon is a Digimon modeled off of the stag beetle. It is the natural enemy to Kabuterimon. It has high defensive power thanks to it being protected by its hard power. It is an enemy that will never surrender until it collapses you with the help of its giant scissors. Kuwagamon was the very first Digimon fought in the anime and was seen in one of the early TV advertisements.

Floramon
Floramon is a Digimon inspired by the Roman goddess Flora. Although it digivolved from a reptile, it is considered a plant-like species of Digimon. The petal-shaped shell on its head protects it like a helmet. When intruders are around or when it’s feeling happy, the petals on it open wide. It sees Palmon as a rival and is very prideful. Floramon is once more a standard enemy or minion of the week with sometimes only cameo roles.

Leomon
Well I wasn’t expecting to see him here. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to the Digimon Catwomon will be once s/he’s finally ready. Leomon is known as the King of Beasts as well as the Noble Hero. Leomon has a strong will and a desire for justice and has defeated many fiendish Digimon. It is also a rival to Ogremon and Leomon’s body can resist any attack and is a great fighter due to it choking the life out of its opponents with quick attacks. Leomon is one of the rare Digimon to be a part of every season either directly or with a Digivolution or sub-species. However Leomon also dies in almost every season with season 2 being the only exception of the 5 seasons translated to America.

Gwappamon
Gwappamon is a Cyborg whose name and design is inspired from the Kappa in Japanese mythology. It was fused from the data of a music player and a Kappa and always listens to its favorite music in high and happy spirits but will cry if the disc is scratched. Kamemon digivolved into Gwappamon during the fifth season of the anime and other than that mostly shows in newer video games.

KaratsukiNumemon
KaratsukiNumeon is named and designed from the idea of a “Shell attached to Numemon” or Kara-tsuki Numemon in Japanese. In most American materials it is known as ShellNumemon. Their eye stalks are skinnier than that of a Numemon’s and they seem to be more intelligent. They are usually kind especially when compared to their genetic cousins, Numemon and Geremon. One member of this species were somewhat important to an episode of the fourth season and this species had their own mountain.

Digitamamon
Digitamamon is named after Tamago or egg in Japanese as a Digi-Egg in Japan is a Digitama. It can withdraw into his shell for protection and seems to have a near infinite space in its shell. He also can control the energy of nightmares and release it from its shell. Digitamamon usually is only a small role in the anime but had a major role in one episode of the first season where it ran its own restaurant, keeping some of the kids trapped working there forever.

Wendigomon
Wendigomon is a Digimon obviously based off of the mythological Wendigo, especially its portrayal in (book title) The Wendigo by Algernon Blackwood. Its rookie form Lopmon suffered a Dark Digivolution at some point due to anger and hatred making Wendigomon brutal. Wendigomon is not entirely evil however and still possesses the gentle side of Lopmon. However its anger can break the gentleness. This is not helped by its ability to warp through dimensions as well as manipulate time and space. Wendigomon and some other forms of it was the main villain of the short movie "Digimon Hurricane Landing!!/Transcendent Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals" which was later chopped down and became the third part of the theatrical Digimon movie.

Firamon
Firamon has gained flight, strength and speed from Digivolving from his rookie form, Coronamon. He protects the historical remains of the Digital World from possible threats and is known as a good leader. He is also known as the “Lion Flying in the Sky”. Firamon and the whole line was introduced in this set of games and so far has only appeared in other video games.

RizeGreymon
RizeGreymon is named both from the idea of a rising Greymon and the pun “rise and shine”. More than half of its body is mechanized and despite the large frame, it flies through the skies to attack his foes. The power from the giant revolver on its left arm is said to equal a nuclear warhead and the recoil makes it impossible to rapid-fire. RizeGreymon was the Ultimate of the Agumon in Season 5 to help go along with the new Greymon line being introduced.

(Now finally the story of this mission.)

(This one starts off a lot easier. Walk through the only path you can truly take and then climb up the vines. In the second room while it seems like there is a path to the right it is currently blocked off and involves us going through the main route so just go to the left. In the third screen take the left path and then go to through the path it assigns you. Climb up the vines and right as you’re about to get to the exit, a Tamer will confront you. Once you beat that Tamer take the lower path in the next room in order to pick up the Jungle Key. Once you grab the key, go up the first vine and go into the next room to turn on the door switch. Once you do that return down the vine and go through the now-unlocked door. From here you will see the final room. Just walk through it as normal fighting the Tamers along the way. Climb the vine in order to see the final Tamer of the mission.)

B TamerBoy: Are you Night Crow? Prepare yourself!

Tamer Fight 1: Monochromon, Greymon, Dinohumon

B TamerBoy: Uggh…Defeat Night Crow…Defeat…Light Fang Huh? What…What am I doing here? Was…I sleeping? Oh nooo, run!

(After a small walk to the next tamer)
Pulsa: I’ll defeat you…you’re my enemy…

Tamer fight 2: Digitamamon, KaratsukiNumemon and Tapirmon

(After the battle)
Pulsa: Huh? What’s going on?! Ugh…My head…hurts…ugggh…Help me…
(After a completely unnecessary walk to the teleporter at the end of the screen)

Pulsa: Darn, my head hurts……Defeat…Night Crow…Destroy…Union…

(Hey any of you guys remember Koh? He's still in this game, apparently.)
Koh: Pulsa! Get to the gate!

Pulsa: Koh! What are you doing here? … I see!
(Pulsa teleports away)

Koh: You’ll pay for what you did to Pulsa!
Tamer fight 3: RizeGreymon and Firamon

Koh: …it’s my loss. …Can’t believe I lost to Night Crow. But even if you take over the world by force, Light Fang will never lose! We’re the ones fighting for justice!

Nepeta: But um…they’re basically brainless zombies with ellipses after every sentence. Brainwashed or the like. Also we came here because you Light Fang just suddenly attacked us. We said nothing evil, had no intentions of doing evil and didn’t declare we were conquering the world.

Koh: What?! You think justice is on your side? How can that be! –Nepeta and Koh’s watches rings with a message for both-

Julia: All of you Night Crow! Listen to me! Don’t fight with the Light Fang! Get as far away from Resistor Jungle as fast as you can!

Koh: What is this? Is it the Union? I guess there’s no choice. We’ll have to continue this later. Light Fang will never lose to evil!

During this time Yue learned a move called Raging Darkness which lowers resistance to dark-moves and is also a two-zone move. After the final fight Yue gained a healing move called Healing Spring.

DarkTyrannomon has DarkBreath3 which makes him resist dark attacks, Powerful 3 and DefenseUp 3 for a supporting ability. KnightChessmon has Speed 3, Ether Eddy 3 making him resistant to steel attacks and DefenseUp 3. Kamemon had Protect 2 which raises Defense, Collector 1 and Spirit Up2. Gawappamon has SleepWard2 which gives Sleep resistance, Quick 2 and Spirit Up 3.

Step 3: Strange Light Fang?! Return to Union Room
(You know what to do by now.)

Spike: attack us at Resistor Jungle?

Julia: Hmm… Spike, I’m sure they had a reason for attacking us, but…

CAGallantmon: Do you think that one that attacked CITY, and Light Fang are working together?

(Hey guys, remember the slight paranoia of Light Fang back when this happened? The writers remembered that plot thread, I see.)

Julia: We have no proof so there’s really no way to know. And there’s no way a Union Team member who is supposed to protect CITY would destroy it.

Spike: I agree… Come to think of it, the Light Fang at Resistor Jungle were acting very strangely. As if they were under someone’s control.

Julia: …Something’s going on. -Nepet enters the room- Nepet, you’re back. Spike, I want you to continue gathering information about Light Fang and SunshineCITY.

Spike: Understood.

Julia: It seems that something’s going on with Light Fang. Nepet, you go and gather information about them also.

CAGallantmon: I’ve sent your reward to Dark Center, so go and get it later.

Julia: Keep up the good work. I’m counting on you.

Step 4: Return to Dark Center
(Plot Mission 5 complete! Rewards=160 Tamer Points, 10580 bits and a Log for the Digi-Farm)

And now with this I will cover the 3 Digimon I got in passwords and one I found during a grinding session.

PlatinumSukamon

PlatinumSukamon is a Digimon that looks exactly like Sukamon but made from platinum. It is also stronger than the average Sukamon. This Digimon is a standard palette swap that you can find in Digimon video games.

Sukamon

Sukamon is a Digimon whose name and design is derived from scum. Some Sukamon are accompanied by the mouse Digimon Chuumon who is its best friend. Sukamon usually lives in sewers. Sukamon is usually used when Digimon wants to go to its more childish and immature side of humor and has appeared in a few seasons of the anime.

DotFalcomon

DotFalcomon is an 8-bit version of Falcomon. Due to not having much info on this form I will also cover Falcomon here. Falcomon lives in 3000 mile high mountains but can only really glide due to having not very well-developed wings. It is however a powerful runner and has a rough temperament. The redesign of Falcomon for the fifth season of the anime was one of the main Digimon in that season and even went to Mega.

DotMirageGaogamon

DotMirageGaogamon is an eight-bit version of MirageGaogamon. I will do the same thing here I did for Falcomon. MirageGaogamon is the Mega of the Gaomon line we’ve witnessed earlier. Its whole body is clad in armor made from a special metal and it moves at incomparable speeds. As a result it can deceive its opponents by pretending to be a mirage. He also interestingly has the Digital Hazard sign on his chest. MirageGaogamon appeared decently often in the fifth season of the anime as he was the Mega of the Digimon to one of the main characters and possibly the second-most important one besides the protagonist.

Thank you for reading. Hopefully next time, we get some more info on the so-called conspiracy plot brewing here.

Past a certain point, it's incredibly hard to read this without training my brain to just outright ignore the suffix -mon tacked onto every single frelling name.

Once you do that though, it's actually impressive how minimalistic these names get. "Wood." "Ape." "Hook." "Grey." "BishopChess."

Also a distressing is how many seem to be just straight up rips from Pokémon. Same names, same art even.

Oh so many of these names show minimalistic work and lack of effort in the naming department when the mon is removed as a suffix. "Leo." "Gato." "Apollo". Hell, none of those are Monmon, the world's most unfortunately named monster.

I got to ask which sprites here are rips from Pokemon here though. I was already going to rant on how this entire game falls apart with just the slightest bit of thinking but if some art is similar...oh that's going to be a fun rant.

(Well now is as good a time as any to explain the way I do it. If there’s a sidemission for all four types unlocked at the start of the block then I’ll do them first. If there’s not I will do a plot mission to unlock some more and then do four more and end with another plot mission to try and not cause some vicious cycle. Also a good amount of the gang digivolved or degenerated leaving a change in personalities so…I’m cutting that stupid roleplaying with the Digimon thing. Wasn’t that funny anyways, I noticed on reading. Anyways…)

:33 Hi again! So this game is starting to get really weird. So everyone’s getting all paranoid and it’s like the plot train started chugging along its new little rails. I’m starting to wish I brought Karkitty or someone to go with me on this.

Plot Mission 6: The Palette Amazon

Step 1: Go to Union Room and talk to Julia.

Julia: There’s a strong virus signature detected at PaletteAmazon where the link was just restored… Go to PaletteAmazon and investigate it.

ChaosGallantmon: The enemy might be there too, so be careful.

(Before entering the PaletteAmazon this conversation will happen in front of the teleporter)

Spike: Light Fang during quests. We need to keep gathering info and find out what they’re up to.

Gutts: Let’s just take them down!

Punch: Yeah! We can’t let them do as they please!

Barone: Don’t you think it’s that attitude you guys have that cause Light Fang to target you?

Punch: Barone, why are you defending Light Fang? You’re not actually one of them are you?

Nepeta: What…what kind of argument is that…

Barone: What’s that supposed to mean? Punch, how could you say that to me?!

Punch: Uh, sorry…

Spike: That’s enough talking you three.

Punch: I’m sorry Spike.

Dorothy: What should we do when we get info about Light Fang?

Newton: Should we inform Chief Julia?

Spike: We should share the information we gather among us first before we contact the chief…

Sukekiyo: You’re right…We should organize our information before we inform the chief.

Kakumi: Sukekiyo, what’s gotten into you. You’re being so nice…

Sukekiyo: What do you mean?! I’m always a cool Tamer nice to women.

Nepeta: Huh?! We were talking about Light Fang not women…how did women even enter the conversation?
(I swear it’s like this game is making its dialogue worse and worse so I’m all but forced to say something.)

Kakumi: You don’t treat me that way!

Spike: At any rate, who knows what will happen next! Act cautiously!
(Constant Vigilance!)

Punch: Understood!

Barone: Got it!

Sukekiyo: Yes sir!
-Punch, Barone, Gutts, Sukekiyo and Kakumi all leave to go off on their missions-

Spike: Nepet, do you have a minute? Don’t you think Chief Julia and ChaosGallantmon are acting strangely lately?

Dorothy: Yeah I thought so too!

Newton: What do you mean?

Dorothy: The way I see it, lately Chief Julia seems very uneasy…Maybe she has a love interest or something?

Newton: Dorothy, you always want to make everything related to that…

Spike: No, I don’t mean it like that…Never mind…I hope it’s just my imagination…Forget about what I just said. Well then…Nepet, Dorothy,
Newton. Let’s go do our job.

Dorothy: Yes sir!

Spike: Nepet, be careful.

Step 2: Find the cause of the virus in PaletteAmazon
The PaletteAmazon track is a nice blend of peacefulness with the drums adding a sense of adventure but it’s too Isle Delfino-esque to really be a good adventuring track for even the midpoint of an RPG.

Kiwimon
Kiwimon is blatantly based off of the kiwi bird and it is flightless and wingless like the real kiwi. Kiwimon is usually just a cameo Digimon or a henchman.

Crabmon
Crabmon is of course based off of a crab. Metal data dissolved in the Net Ocean, enhancing its combat ability. It attacks with the giant blade on its left foreleg and defends with its spine-covered shell making it very confident and cocky. Its weak point is its soft stomach but it knows that and never shows that. It’s rarely in the anime however this is interesting. Crabmon’s design, sprite and everything else seems oddly close to Krabby/Kingler. Maybe I'm just seeing things or getting paranoid.

Starmon
Starmon is said to be a Mutant Digimon based off of a Star. Starmon normally focus in episodes as sheriffs or defenders of peace and order and in one episode of the 4th season there was a whole town of them and their Digivolution Superstarmon and were oddly all Elvis impersonators in the anime dub.

Muchomon
Muchomon is a Digimon with a very close appearance to that of Penguinmon but he is the exact opposite personality-wise. While Penguinmon enjoys cold climates, Muchomon enjoys warm tropical climates. Muchomon also loves to dance and live in peace. According to one of the video games they can speak Spanish. Muchomon has only appeared in the video games.

Lilamon
Lilamon is a Digimon designed off of the lilac. It is said to be pure and innocent while also governing death and rebirth. Its leaves are incredibly toxcitic and are enough to kill the opponent. It featured in the fifth season of the anime as the Ultimate and the digivolution of Sunflowmon of the team's only girl.

Sunflowmon
Sunflowmon becomes energetic and stronger when the sun’s light begins to bathe on it. On days when the sun is out it will also fly around by flapping the wings on its back. Its smile is also feared for its eeriness. Sunflowmon was one of the Champions of the main characters in the 5th season of the anime.

Kokatorimon
Kokatorimon is a creature inspired and named after the Cockatrice and the chicken or “Tori” in Japanese. Its legs are overdeveloped and it can no longer fly and is now suited for land. This made its body larger, developed its leg strength and atrophied the wing portions. It is violently ferocious and hates to battle and waste its energy. It is usually a minion of sorts or will be a cameo role.

Togemon
Togemon is also a Digimon designed off of the Easter Lily cactus. It can store nutrients for a long time and can even survive for a long time in empty desert areas. You normally can’t discern its thoughts even from facial expression as it spends most of the day staring into space. It becomes violent and impossible to settle down if angered though.

(This is just to show that I finally got what I’ve been waiting for and Catwomon has entered the cat line.)

MoriShellmon
MoriShellmon gets the Mori part of its name from the Japanese word for forest. As such it lives in the forest compared to Shellmon living in swamps and oceans. As a palette swap of Shellmon it’s only appeared in the video games.

Fugamon
Fugamon is a brown/red Ogremon with a tiger stripe outfit. His name comes from a combination of Fuuki a Japanese word for God of Wind and Ouga as in Ogre. Unlike most palette swaps he isn’t exclusive to the video games but his anime appearances are brief and minor characters.

Deramon
Deramon is created off of the Indian Peafowl. Even though it is a Bird Digimon it also has vegetation growing from its back. Like Kiwimon it has some plant-like qualities and is also unable to fly. As it is very prideful it considers itself to be nobility and sees its inability to fly as mortifying. It boasts of the crown atop its head and its beak which glows gold. Deramon is usually another cameo or minion Digimon interesting enough.

(First off go left from the entry point and open the treasure chest to get a Spirit RingBeta. Then go into what is at the time the only exit on the bottom side of the screen. Go to the right after that to get a really nice healing item. Go down from there to access the next screen and find a MP restoring item that will give 600 MP to one zone. As you go to the next screen there is yet another treasure chest holding the Amazon Key which will be used to unlock the way to the right-most exit on the first screen. However that is not the path to take right now. Instead go back to the second screen, take the exit on the bottom left and go along that path.)

(On that same bottom path, travel through the screens and open the chests until you open the chest with this Digi-Egg inside it. This is a really good item that means some more Armor Digivolutions can occur.)

Sukekiyo: an ambush.

Kakumi: I’m tired…

Sukekiyo: But we can’t lose him now.

Mecurimon: Haahahaha! You guys aren’t smart enough to catch me!

Kakumi: Nepet, good timing! I’m tired, so you go!

Nepeta: What…can higher-ups do that here? “I want to take a nap so you beat the evil monster for me, good night!”

Mercurimon: Who are you? You wanna piece of me too? What?! You little brat! Fugamon, get‘um!
(One Fugamon fight later…)

Merukimon: Ugh…You fight well…Hey, would you mind letting me go? I’ll give you a gift if you let me go.

Sukekiyo: You got some nerve…Why would the Tamers of the honorable Night Crow let you go?

Kakumi: Sure! How much are you going to pay?

Sukekiyo: Kakumi!

Kakumi: I-I’m just kidding!

Merukimon: Darn, don’t mock me! You shouldn’t mock a monkey!

Mercurimon
Mercurimon is of course derivied from Mercury, the Roman god of messengers and thieves. As a member of the “Olmypos XII” he is a Digimon god said to be the fastest in the Digital World. He is able to outspeed the fastest runners, become impossible to see with the naked eye and leave only afterimages to be photographed. It hates to stay in the same place and always wanders. Merukimon’s knife is also interestingly named “Aztec”. Merukimon was a key supporting character and fan favorite in the fifth season of the anime but tragically died at the hands of the major human villain.

(Mercurimon is yet another three-zone boss however he is much easier to beat than SkullBalushimon due to his attacks not causing status conditions. He does have some slight difficulty in his attacks hitting three zones but if you don’t organize them together as I did then you’re fine.)

(During this Bec learned Raging Earth which attacks two zones and lowers resistance to earth making it good for multi-zone bosses, Skully learned a Poison attack that hits 2 zones and Voltmon got a powerful 1-zone attack for this stage of the game followed soon by a Steel version of what Bec learned as a result of all the fights until the end of this step.)

Mercurimon: I give up! Please forgive me!

Sukekiyo: That’s more like it.

Kakumi: …Um, you haven’t done a thing!

Nepeta: Then why did I fight him?! Why did you tell me to beat him up?!

Kakumi: Hey you! We’re here to investigate the source of the illegal activity detected here. You have it don’t you? Give it to us!

Mercurimon: Illegal…? What’s that? Are you talking about this thing that I made for SkullBaluchimon? I don’t want it so you can have it!
(Ladies and gents, this game in a nutshell! The mercenary who makes upgrades to viruses and does illegal things asking what illegal means and then giving me the thing he just made for his boss. What. The. Hell.)

Mercurimon: Were you chasing me around just for that? Darn, how annoying! I’m going home to sleep…

Sukekiyo: Nepet, you did it! Good thing we cornered him for you!

Kakumi: Sukekiyo…It’s because of that personality I’m the only friend you have!

Sukekiyo: As long as Kakumi’s my friend I’m fine!

Kakumi: … Stupid.

Sukekiyo: Well, let’s go report back.
Catwomon now has Psychic 3 which raises Spirit by 15, Critical 2 and Attack Up3 as a result of her Digivolution

Step 3: Found the M-D Word?! Return to Union Room
http://i.imgur.com/5TzSWoB.png
Julia: able to get a M-D Word, we were able to restore Dark S Area.

CAGallantmon: Good job.

Sukekiyo: But we didn’t get any leads on the enemy…

Julia: It appears that the one that was making Mercurimon create the M-D Word is SkullBaluchimon…But who was asking him to create M-D Word…That’s still a mystery…

Kakumi: If we keep investigating, I’m sure we’ll find out.

Julia: You’re right…I’m sure that if we’re persistent, we’ll discover the identity of the enemy. Please keep up the good work. Thank you everyone! Oh, I almost forgot. Don’t forget to get your reward at Dark Center.

Sukekiyo: Yes sir!

Kakumi: Got it.

Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Plot Mission 6 complete! Reward= 165 Tamer Points, 10585 bits and a Silver Blade)

Default Side missions Block 5

Dark Mission 3: Bomber Incident

Step 1: Talk to Crescemon in Dark Plaza

Crescemon: Nepet, heard about the bomb explosion in Magnet Mine? Actually, My friend, BomberNanimon blew up PMamemon’s house. PMamemon’s so angry, BomberNanimon is afraid to apologize. Can you go apologize to PMamemon for her? First, talk to BomberNanimon!

Step 2: Talk to Bomber Nanimon in Magnet Mine
Magnet Mine is a return to the very techno-esque feel of CITY and some other areas but all in all isn’t that good of a track but does bring that adventuring feel.

(Magnet Mine is another one of those insane mazes with no real markers or anything else. I honestly recommend skipping this mission if you have a
chance.)

Moonmon
Moonmon is Lunamon’s in-training form. This Digimon has only existed and shown up in the video games from Dusk onwards at this point in time.

Tsumemon
Tsumemon is a Digimon derived from Tsume or claw in Japanese. The tips of its feelers are claw-like and it is ferocious. It can corrode data at a fast rate and causes malfunctions in the Digital World. It is also swift and hard to catch. Tsumemon and members of its entire line were the main villain of the second movie in Japanese and second part of the first English movie known as Our War Game. Tsumemon only spoke via e-mails and caused havoc to cash registers worldwide by eating massive amounts of computer data.

Kurisarimon
Chrysalimon or Kurisarimon as its known in this game is designed from a chrysalis. Its rookie form, Keramon will go into a chrysalis-like state and it will conserve its energy. Due to that it cannot move and is protected by its shell and can attack with the tentacles. It can skip going to Kurisarimon but a stronger Ultimate will be formed if it does. In the anime the Rookie form, Kera skipped straight to the Ultimate meaning Kurisarimon wasn’t in that movie.

Keramon
Keramon got its name from the Japanese onomatopoeia for cackling and as such has an insane grin on its face. Its large mouth helps it eat away more than 100 megabytes of data a second which is destroyed instantly. Due to its childish and playful personality it considers its destructive actions as part of its play. In the anime it continued to cause damage to the extent that the main characters were called in.

Tsuchidarumon
Tsuchidarumon is a Digimon whose name is derived from Japanese for mud man. He has only appeared in the video games.

Crescemon
Crescemon is a Digimon whose name and design is based off of both the crescent moon and the moon rabbit. Like the rest of Lunamon’s line this has only appeared in video games after Digimon World Dawn/Dusk so far.

Crescemon/Yue has Speed 4, DarkBreath4 which raises resistance to dark-attacks, Quick 3 raising the dodge-rate of attacks and Defense Up4 while Bec learned a three-zone attack just done by Merukimon in the last fight which replaced the two-zone hitter.

BomberNanimon: Oh, you’re Nepet! Crescemon is worried about me? Well, I was trying to dig up a treasure with a bomb and I accidently blew up PMamemon’s house. So Nepet, please go apologize to him for me and tell him I’ll fix his house <3
(What? Why is that ended with a heart?)

Step 3: Find and talk to PrinceMamemon
(Once again this is terribly maze-like and unable to tell any directions so just skip this mission.)

PMamemon: Who are you?! Are you a friend of BomberNanimon?! How dare he destroy my house! I just built it! Even the furniture was custom made! You’re going to pay for this!

PrinceMamemon
PrinceMamemon is apparently partially derived partially on a joke on the musician Prince with an attack being named Purple Rain. Having taken in data relating to a royal family, it is a prince of the Mamemon family. Along with another Digimon named KingEtemon it makes a mock royal family of the Digital World. PrinceMamemon is convinced that it actually is royalty and considers even the Royal Knights to be its subordinates. It does actually have some destructive power though. PrinceMamemon has only appeared in games. Interesting enough he is actually our first Mega we’ve seen.

PMamemon: I see, you only came here because BomberNanimon asked you to! It was my misunderstanding. I’m sorry. I’ll forgive everything if she fixes my house. I’ll go talk to BomberNanimon! Give my regards to Crescemon!

Skully learned a somewhat strong one-zone attack replacing the incredibly weak one.

Step 4: Report to Crescemon in Dark Plaza

Crescemon: Nepet, you’re amazing! I heard what you did in Magnet Mine from BomberNanimon! It sounds like she’s fixing PMamemon’s house also. BomberNanimon sent you a gift as a token of her gratitude! Go and get it at Dark Center
(music note is used as the punctuation here)

(Dark Mission 3 complete! Reward=145 Tamer Points, 6585 bits, and what’s basically a Full Restore for one zone.)

Beast Mission 3: Penguinmon’s Lost Item
Step 1: Talk to MachGaogamon in Dark Office

MGaogamon: Hey Nepet, how are you? Look at this! It’s a real Wing Ring! They say if you wear it you can fly, but that’s not true.

Nepeta: But…you have rockets on your back. Why would you test that and how would you know? Never mind…I assume that’s not all?

MGaogamon: It’s very valuable to my friend Penguinmon. He forgot it when I last saw him. Can you go give it to him? He’s at Palette Amazon.

Step 2: Bring a Wing Ring to Penguinmon in P. Amazon
(On the same far-left path that led to where you insert the Amazon Key you can see a red bird standing on one of the path’s dead ends.)

Penguinmon (?): got there?! Huh? Did I forget it at MGaogamon’s place? Oh, yeah I did! Wow, thanks for bringing it to me! Now I’ll be able to fly. See ya!

(Now that’s new…the game doesn’t normally do that.)

Step 3: Have a bad feeling…Visit Penguinmon again
(Go through the bottom path and then go to the bottom left path once again. You will then see a blue bird, go speak to that bird.)

Penguinmon: you! You brought me the Wing Ring, right? MGaogamon told me by mail. So do you have it? What, you gave it to a different Penguinmon? Oh nooo! What are you going to do?! Get it back! Get it back no matter what!

Step 4: Reclaim a Wing Ring from fake Penguinmon
(Take the path unlocked by the Amazon Key and the fake Penguinmon is there on the very first screen.)

Muchomon: Hey, you! I can’t fly even when I’m wearing the Wing Ring. What’s going on?! You tricked me! What?! Am I Penguinmon? How could I be Penguinmon! I’m Muchomon! Woops! Oh well, let’s fight!
-Fight occurs-
Muchomon: Hey, you’re strong. Okay, you can have the Wing Ring back. I’m sorry!

(This Muchomon fight led to getting Voltmon a one-zone steel attack which replaced one slightly weaker than it)

Step 5: Give a Wing Ring to a Penguinmon
(Return to where Penguinmon previously was)

Penguinmon: Thanks Nepet. I’m so glad! Huh, Muchomon had the Wing Ring? How could you mistake a Penguinmon and a Muchomon?! Well, I’ll forgive you since you got back the ring.

Step 6: Report to MachGaogamon in Dark Office
MGaogamon: Hey Nepet. Good job. Penguinmon is happy and so am I. Thank you so much. Now get your reward at Dark Center!

Step 7: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Beast Mission 3 complete! Reward= 165 Tamer Points, 9085 bits, and a Full Restore, I mean Full Repair for two zones.)

Machine Mission 3: ProcessBattle Tourney
Step 1: Talk to a BPChessmon in Dark Hall

BPChessmon: Hey man! Help me out! Take my place in the tournament! It’s called the Process Battle held in the Process Factory. It starts today! Please! Go there now!

(Dark Hall is accessed by the south/bottom exit in the room where you normally go to access the teleporter. At the southmost part of that room a BishopChessmon is waiting for you)

Step 2: Enter the tournament in the ProcessFactory
(When you enter the Factory, one route is blocked off by a door needing a Factory Key. Ignore that and talk to the BlackRapidmon near the red boxes on one dead end.)

BRapidmon: You’re late! Well, never mind. Let me explain the rules. It’s simple! Whoever takes everything is the winner! Gigadramon and RookChessmon are the last remaining players. If you steal there items and bring them here, you win! Here’s your item!
(I promise you guys the typo is actually there.)

Step 3: Find and talk to Gigadramon
(Walk through the next room and then take the bottom right entrance and then go through the only other available option and you’ll see a chest with one of the keys to the Process Factory, a teleporter out and Gigadramon.)

Gigadramon: There you are! Let’s do this!

Gigadramon
I have no info about Gigadramon in any of the articles I could find. Gigadramon has mostly been minions and in the video games.

Gigadramon: Wow, I lost. You’re so strong! Here! You can have the DigiMedal B!

Step 4: Find and fight RookChessmon
(Use the key you got finding Gigadramon to unlock the blocked door. This leads you to a small teleporter that keeps you within the Factory. Use it and then go through the door in order to find a small room with only RookChessmon inside.)

RookChessmon: Hey, aren’t you that Tamer, Nepet? I always wanted to challenge you, so I’m going to give it my all!

RookChessmon
RookChessmon has an appearance that’s fortress-like with impregnable defense. Although it is gigantic it is also very fast and it will defend against attacks then attack back. Its catchphrase is "The opponent is nothing after me!" RookChessmon is also the first Digimon which has a sprite so large that part of it will not appear on camera. The camera only pans up to its face during attacks and will pan back down to this when I attack.

RookChessmon: Wow, Nepet. You’re just like how they say. I enjoyed fighting you. Now take this DigiMedal C!

Step 5: Give DigiMedal B and C to BRapidmon
(Go back through the small teleporter and return to where BlackRapidmon was.)

BRapidmon: Yes, this is definitely a DigiMedal B and DigiMedal C! Please return the DigiMedal A also. The winner is Nepet! Congratulations!

ToyAgumon
ToyAgumon is said to be created by children who play on the internet and modeled after Agumon. It is cowardly and will easily break into pieces literally. It loves to surf the internet and consult with children. ToyAgumon mostly appears in the games but there was a town of them in the 4th season of the anime.

Step 6: Report to BPChessmon in Dark Hall

BPChessmon: Hey Nepet. Sorry for the trouble. But I heard about the battle. You won! Thanks to you, the tournament was a success! I’m so proud! Thank you! Now get your reward at Dark Center!

Step 7: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Machine Quest 3 complete! Reward= 130 Tamer Points, 8680 bits, and the weapon Nidhoggr, a weapon for level 20 or higher machines. No, don't ask me why there's a weapon named after the dragon in Norse Mythology and why it's for machines.)

InsectPlant quest 3: Loop Swamp Rumor
Step 1: Talk to Palmon in Dark Square

Palmon: Hey Nepet. Have you heard about the samurai that attacks you at Loop Swamp asking for his Katana back? I actually found a Katana at Loop Swamp the other day and I put it in a treasure chest at the entrance. I’m scared, so you can go return it for me?

Step 2: Find a Katana in Loop Swamp
(Palmon’s dialogue is entirely accurate. As soon as you enter the swamp there will be a treasure chest. Open it.)

Step 3: Find the owner of the Katana

(Hooray, Voltmon became our third Ultimate!)

(Take the same path taken throughout the Swamp in the plot mission here. After fighting the Kogamon go into the next screen and do not go through the whirlpool which would take you to the end of the plot mission.)

Kogamon: Huh?! Who is it?! That Katana?! You must be Musyamon! Take my challenge!
-battle-
Kogamon: Ouch. Oh, you’re a Tamer. I’m sorry. I saw Musyamon wandering about here, and that Katana. I thought you were Musyamon!

Musyamon: That Katana you have? I know! You’re the one that stole it!

Musyamon
Musyamon is based off of a Samurai. The Musha in its name refers to people who perform martial arts. In the anime he normally is a cameo Digimon and monster of the week except for the Sixth season as the right-hand man to the bad guy and general of the "Bagra Army".

Musyamon: You’re quite strong. But that Katana is mine. I’ve been staying here in Loop Swamp searching for the Katana I lost. Would you mind giving it back to me? You will? Thank you.

Voltmon has Protect 4 raising his defense by 20, Critical 3, EXDamage 3 raising the amount of damage he causes and Defense Up4.

(This is our first fixed zone attack that we’ve learned. Those blue zones filled in are the only zones that will be attacked. This is a good attack for boss fights but once the main plot is over, I recommend not using fixed zone attacks.)

Step 4: Report to Palmon in Dark Square
Palmon: I heard the samurai at Loop Swamp disappeared. I heard you returned the Katana for me. Thank you. Now I can sleep at night. Your reward is at Dark Center. Go get it there.
(Before you use a Gate Disk to return, go through a few screens and step into a weird dark portal. While most areas are blocked off a chest in the room it’ll take you to holds a Digi-Egg of Honesty.)

Step 5: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(InsectPlant quest 3 complete! Reward=145 Tamer Points, 6585 bits and a EXP Ring alpha which boosts EXP gain)

(And that's sidequests done again. Third verse same as the first.)

Default Second and Final Plot Mission for Block 5

Plot mission 7: Go to Thriller Ruins
Step 1: Go to Union Room and talk to Raigo

Spike: Oh, Nepet, you’re here. I think you’re gonna get more work thrown at you. You’d better be prepared. Well, good luck!

Nepeta: Get more work thrown at me? No, really! I thought I signed up for this mission in order to get some milk, cookies and catnip!

Raigo: Oh Nepet, you’re here…Quest…Oh, the Thriller Ruins investigation.

Zanbamon: Raigo…I think we should let Nepet know…

Raigo: You’re right Zanbamon…Umm, I want you to keep this between us…We haven’t seen Chief Julia or…ChaosGallantmon lately.

Nepeta: Well if you haven’t seen one you haven’t seen the others. They’re partners after all. I don’t know why you needed the pause there.

Zanbamon: We looked around, but no one knows where they went. We tried tracking the chief’s digivice, but we couldn’t find it anywhere in CITY… Where did they go…Are they safe…?

Raigo: So, I have decided to manage the Union Quest for Chief Julia and ChaosGallantmon.

Zanbamon: You’re doing well Raigo…You’re the next leader of Night Crow for sure.

Raigo: …Leave it to me Zanbamon. It’s gotten better, but the server is still unstable. Please investigate deep inside Thriller Ruins…I’m counting on you Nepet.

Step 2: Julia is missing?! Go to the Thriller Ruins
(Due to the other path being blocked off, go through the weird swirly purple portal and go through that area until you exit the portal. Go through the left path and then the upper left until you find a firewall on the lower floor, a teleporter and some sort of sun-esque symbol. As you walk in you will be attacked by four Tsukaimon)

Phantomon
Phantomon is based off of the Grim Reaper. It holds a gigantic sickle and chain and is a higher class of Ghost Digimon so when Phantomon possesses a person they are in their last moments of life and it comes when one is about to die. The crest it is holding is able to see the future. It is said that the interior of the cloth which conceals its body leads to a separate dimension. Phantomon are usually minions.

Candlemon
Candlemon is a Digimon with a flame on its head that resembles another Digimon, DemiMeramon and if the flame goes out it dies. Because of this some say the wax is a decoy and the flame is the real Digimon. Candlemon is usually only in the video games but it and a Digivolution, Wizardmon were the monsters of the week in one episode of the 4th season.

Vilemon
Vilemon’s design is based off of an imp. It hates to lose so it torments the weak without actually getting into a fight. Some credit it as the source of all Dark Digimon but it is still a mystery. Vilemon is another Digimon that has been mostly a minion or the monster of the week.

BlackWereGarurumon
BlackWereGarurumon is a bipedal Digimon derived from the werewolf. Due to being bipedal it lost some speed but got higher offensive and defensive power and has developed a tactical nature. Its kicking technique is quite strong giving it a powerful jumping ability. It is also loyal and reliable making it faithfully execute any mission it is given. BlackWereGarurumon is in the video games and one episode of the fourth season as a harsh and mean train racer.

Mummymon
Mummymon is called the Necromancer due to it summoning and manipulating the residual data of fallen Digimon. Its facial expressions cannot be read and it is hard to tell what it is thinking about but if attacked it will brandish its gun, “Obelisk” and beat down its opponent. Mummymon was arguably one of the main villains of the second season of the anime with his partner Arukenimon until the final villain eats him in one of the final episodes.

Dracmon
Dracmon is a mischievous bloodsucker that enjoys danger and views it as a challenge. It is said that it began to die when it drew graffiti on the faces of the “Digimon Sovereigns”. Now it is causing mischief for the Royal Knights. Dracmon was only in the video games until Xros Wars or Digimon Fusion as it’s known in the States.

Tsukaimon
Tsukaimon is derived from the Japanese word for messenger/familiar “Tsukai”. Although it is a subspecies of Patamon it has the opposite personality so it loves brawling. Normally it acts as a familiar for Devimon and other Digimon. It only has appeared in Digimon.
(After the Tsukaimon fight this dialogue begins.)

Gaiomon: very skilled. Are you the Tamer I’ve been hearing about? –Nepeta shakes her head no- A vast world this is indeed…You may not be that Tamer, but I never knew there would be another with such skill…

Nepeta: You had 4 Tsukaimon as your bodyguards, you really thought it would be hard? Trust me I am just competent.

SkullBaluchimon: That’s the Tamer I was talking about. Let’s dispose of this one now so we won’t have to later!

Mercurimon: That’s right, boss! I’ve suffered because of this Tamer too! This Tamer got in the way of our business and stole our merchandise. Crush’em to a pulp for us, boss!

Nepeta: Well, um if it makes you feel any better I didn’t steal it, he gave it to me because he said he didn’t want it. I didn’t steal per-say…I was in the way but well…oh this is going to suck.

Gaiomon: …Hmm, so you are that Tamer. How dare you get in the way of us Kowloon Co from conducting business!

Koh: Ahh, but I guess these guys are a piece of cake for Nepet of Night Crow!

Gaiomon: Grr! How dare you insult us! Mercurimon! SkullBaluchimon! Take care of that obnoxious kid! I’ll deal with the Tamer!

Gaiomon
Gaiomon is a Digimon derived from from “Triumphant King” or Gaiou in Japanese (even though I swear that would be Outside King) and who is designed as a samurai version of WarGreymon. Discovered within a “neglected Oriental computer” it is a very powerful Combat-Species Digimon. It has done many battles to increase its strength and it is believed to have an unbelievable combat record. Its unique swords, “Kikurin” leave behind trails of light and it is said that if you touch those tracks, you die instantly. Gaiomon was a minion in the bad guy army in the sixth season of the anime and other than that has only been in video games.

-after the battle-
(This fight with Gaiomon led to Catwomon learning Leomon’s signature move Fist of the Beast King which is a two-zone hitter in this game)

Gaiomon:…This can’t be! I, Gaiomon…Losing to this kid…-teleports away-

SkullBaluchimon: Are you alright, Boss!

Merucimon: Boss, how could this be! –Mercurimon and SkullBaluchimon teleport away and all three leave another D-Word upgrade-

Koh: Phew, That was close…Are you sure? You’re letting me have all three of the P-D Word they dropped?

Nepeta: Well, I don’t know how in the world you knew it was called that but yes.

Koh: Thank you, Nepet! Now we can restore the Access Zone of SunshineCITY! I guess I misjudged you. Sorry! We’re both Union Tamers so there’s no way that you could be a bad person that would think of destroying CITY! Our Chief Glare has been acting strangely lately…She suddenly started saying that CITY has been destroyed by a Night Crow conspiracy. Isn’t that strange?
(What’s stranger is the translation there. Chief Glare is a male. Julia is the female Chief. Did they get confused?!)

Koh: How’s Chief Julia? Anything strange on your side? I see…I thought so…There must be someone trying to make us fight with each other! That must be why the chiefs are acting strangely! Nepet, from now on let’s work together! Let’s share information and find out who’s behind all of this! Let’s exchange email addresses on our digivices!

Koh: Well, I’ll get back to SunshineCITY now! See you, Nepet! Thanks again for the P-D Word!

Step 3: Koh’s a good guy?! Return to Union Room

Raigo: at Thriller Ruins…

Zanbamon: We didn’t get any info on the chief but we found out about Kowloon Co and Light Fang. Don’t worry, we’ll find out about the chief also.

Raigo: You’re right Zanbamon. Nepet, well done. Thanks very much. Go get your reward at the Quest Counter. It looks like something’s going on with Light Fang also. Please act cautiously.

Zanbamon: Since Chief Glare isn’t here, we’ve all got to work together. Got it, Nepet?

Nepeta: And what about us losing Julia? You know, our chief? And why am I the troublemaker now? Never mind…
Step 4: Receive a reward at the quest counter
(Plot Mission 7 complete! Reward=190 Tamer Points, 13590 bits, and a Gold Cloak)

Next time: We continue to search for Julia and maybe learn more about Kowloon Co in the process! See you guys then!

You made a bit of an error regarding the Palette Amazon encounters. Lilymon doesn't show up there but Lilamon does.

Would you consider screencapping your party at this point? I'm pretty sure you've mentioned them all individually in the update, so don't feel obligated. I just like seeing status screens.

Nice catch there! Lilamon and Lilymon look so close to each other I couldn't tell the difference.

As for my party, here are their current stats before I go onto the next couple missions.

Here's Bec AKA Ogremon

Yue AKA Crescemon

Skully AKA DarkTyrannomon and that's the main three.

As for the three on the bench...

Catwomon AKA Leomon

Voltmon AKA RookChessmon (Black)

And last but not least Mogri AKA Gwappamon.

Note: My main three are all given items too hence the extra pluses.
