Man, this guy is tenacious. At this stage, we only have Bubble Man. Actually, you can use the Wily Saucer for any phase of the fight, but I prefer not to. Wily's flight here is a lot more erratic, and the only attack he has is a single shot that splits into two slow ground-roving shots on impact. Every so often, he'll divebomb into the ground, causing massive damage if he hits. When you see the saucer go high, he's coming in for a divebomb, which is your only chance to hit with Bubble Lead. Abuse the shots he fires for extra height and damage if you have to. Ain't no stopping us now, Wily! Bam! Victory for Bubble Man! This is the real Wily, no two ways about it. Time to turn him in! So, what happens to the robots that Light reprogrammed? Wily designed them as war machines, so can they be reintegrated into society? Actually, yes! Each robot gets repurposed to perform a beneficial task. Metal Man's strong buzzsaws lend themselves easily to metalwork. Air Man, in addition to looting the remains of the Wily Saucer, can put his strong fan to use by keeping the weather reasonable. Bubble Man, having trouble keeping up with the others on land, will now be devoted to protecting the citizens of Monsteropolis from the sea. Quick Man, you show-off. Still, a robot with superspeed is a great way to handle stuff where time is a life-or-death matter. Crash Man... well, okay, he can't really be refitted for a non-destructive purpose. But that's just how it goes. Flash Man's Time Stopper technology will be a great aid to researchers for years to come. Last edited by Kalir; 11-13-2012 at 10:07 PM. |

Heat Man can be used as a power source! Which makes a bit more sense for him than, say, Magma Man. And last is Wood Man. I'm not exactly sure how being made of wood lets you do better with agriculture, but hey, let's run with it. And that was Mega Man: Day in the Limelight 2. Honestly, this game is great even without appending "for a fangame" to it. The Robot Masters all handle in interesting ways, and while it had some stumbling blocks, the creativity in the rest of the game was more then enough to keep up. As seen here. Air Man is a good dude. So yeah! That was fun! You should play this game too. Next Time: I'LL HAVE MY REVENGE SOMEDAY Last edited by Kalir; 11-13-2012 at 10:07 PM. |

Your crab walker strategy was a lot different than mine, but it probably works better. Mine was to get under him immediately and just pump Leaf Shield into the gun. I eat 2-3 shots but kill him quick. Then I switch to Air Man, go to one of the bottom corners, and just Air Shooter him until he dies, occasionally jumping to dodge shots. Worked pretty well (once I stopped trying to use my BFF Quick Man)!

Wow, that's a significantly less lame Gamma fight.
And I didn't comment on it through the rest of the LP, but why would finding MEGA MANS head give a Robot Master an extra life. Any way you slice it, that's weird. |

I didn't have high expectations of this game going in, but aside from the Wily Stages, it seems to be a solid effort.
And the best part is that there are thousands of games to mine for sequels. |

It should have been Wily Saucer vs. Wily Saucer just for laughs.

The Wily stages may not measure up to the RM stages (what else is new?), but they're a nice improvement over the source material.
Both of those last two battles are a lot of fun. They were always two of the more unique Wily fights, but Lime dials it up a few notches. A very well done "final exam" scenario (although I think the walker's a better Crash Man opponent than his phase of the Gamma battle). |
