There's a decent chance you've heard of this, and if not: Blaseball.

I beseech you to join me in becoming a fellow fan of the Millennials, the gayest team in the league.

I'm not saying any more because the journey of discovery is part of the fun, and I'll be honest I don't entirely understand everything myself, but damn if this isn't my shit.

ive been vaguely keeping up. there are some misses, but the lore is really pretty wonderful. rip to whit steakknife, a man with a knife for a head, married to justice spoon, that was incinerated during a game

I got into Blaseball for a little while (maybe around when this thread was first posted?), wandered away, and with the recent revival, have joined up with a few friends on a Discord to cheer and chatter about it. I've stayed away from the official Discords--I'm not super interested in optimizing my votes for team strategy or whatever--but having a little community to banter with has made a big difference in enjoying the Cultural Event.

Do the Millennials have any catpeople? I've favorited the Garages for the sole reason that they have Nolanestophia Patterson in the Shadows, and spend all my votes trying to substitute her into the active roster, haha.

I'm waiting for someone to start doing ESPN style commentator stuff for a game, if they haven't already. That would be pretty neat.

It is absolutely a thing, now! If you check out the Blaseball category on Twitch you'll find various folks doing it, with varying degrees of polish. TheSplortsHub is probably the one with the most professional look and feel I've seen.

It is a little awkward given how fast the games play. Commentating nine-plus innings that play out over like half an hour has to be exhausting! But they have fun with it.

did their best!
I have become a fan of the Baltimore Crabs. The Crabs appear to not be particularly good or bad, which is honestly just an absolutely typical choice for me.
