Hard to find the words about this. Eiyuden will stand as his final work, so at least there's solace in him finding his way back to the kinds of games people loved him most for.

It’s wild how modern life can be sometimes when someone you’ve never met can pass away affects you a lot because they managed to leave an indelible mark on your life.

Not only him, but it reunited Murayama with fellow Konami and Suikoden alumnus Miki Higashino. Higashino had already retired from video game composition after the massive workload of Suikoden II and its related spinoffs, but came back for this project on Murayama's invitation. It was a nice last hurrah for that collaboration, in a totally unexpected venue.

This was a pretty hard discovery upon waking up today. I'll have to do something as tribute. His works have meant a lot to me the past decade when I finally played Suikoden I and II as well as Alliance Alive.

Rest in peace, Murayama. You will be missed.

waking up to this ruined my day. his games have been such a core part of my life for so long, and they really are some of the best scenarios in games. I'm glad he could finish Eiyudian before he passed, and i pray his soul finds peace.
