The Watch: True-ish Crime in Discworld

OK, who's taking one for the team and watching these? Or the extremely-loosely-inspired-by show, for that matter?

Wow, they... really couldn’t have cast further afield from how I pictured Vimes

Agreed. And I'm not sure it's the casting and how the actor plays him, but he generally didn't feel much like Vimes too me. But that's hard to really judge from such short trailers, so no big deal.

It seems to be high quality (production value-wise), and it had a certain Discworld vibe to it. But it also made clear that I don't actually would like to actually spend time there, or at least not in Ankh-Morpork. In my head, the city never looks like the garbage heap it probably would be, according to the descriptions and details in the books.

But I will watch an episode, if it comes to Netflix here. Which means I probably won't watch it.

Eeeeeehhh... Looks like it could be worse, if I can get over the obvious "it's not like the books!" parts.
