That scene at the end of the final bout where Ivan Drago, as in ridiculous Comic Book Badguy Ivan Drago, hugs his son and tells him it's okay.

Just.

They took IVAN FUCKING DRAGO, the guy who's entire character description was "Cold War Caricature" and did THAT.

How the fuck did they DO that???

Creed 2 is not as good as Creed, but it would be insane to count that as a knock against Creed 2 because come fucking on.

The scene that sticks in my head is the one where Adonis gets up in the night and cries from the pain of urinating following his injuries. There was a time when a film like this would not dare depict that level of pathetic vulnerability in its male lead. Something changed.

Also, when Rocky comes into the hospital room and sees Adonis and Bianca's newborn child for the first time, his immediate gut reaction is to smile and say, "Yoooooo."
