General College Sports Thread

I'm making this because I took a nap after an appointment yesterday and when I woke up the Pac 12 had imploded. Made me realize we didn't have an all-sports college thread.

I went to USC for undergrad and CU Boulder for graduate school. I used to root for both schools but USC has been extremely shitty in so many aspects in the last few years so I'm no longer doing that. Now I live in Oregon and will also root for both University of Oregon and Oregon State University as well, with UO winning out in a tiebreaker since both companies I've worked for have a professional relationship with them.

In addition to football, swimming and basketball I try to follow water polo as that was a sport I'd always wanted to play but never got an opportunity to. I would love to watch fencing more but that's only very rarely broadcast.

The NCAA is collapsing, and this is just the beginning. I look forward to a future where only a few dozen schools are running big sports operations and the rest of us can move on and stop letting dumb dick-waving contests drive up tuition for everyone else. It's actually criminal that the highest paid public employees in nearly every state in the union is a fucking college sports coach.

I am hoping more schools cancel games with BYU after this racist shit.

Pamplin said that Richardson was called the n-word “every time she served” and “was threatened by a white male,” resulting in a police officer being placed on the Duke bench.

I know players being harassed is nothing new and doubt that any of the larger teams/conferences really will take action, but hey at least ESPN is covering it.
