Dark Souls Remastest: One Man's Quest to Rebalance DS and Turn It Into Halo

I feel like we should really have a thread on Dark Souls Remastest just because it's a pretty incredible rework of Dark Souls 1 that people should know about.
Here's some of the stuff I've mentioned about it elsewhere:
  • the entire game is now co-op-able, even when bosses are dead
  • all the spells have been reworked to cut out the filler
  • poise is normalized, heavy weapons are lighter, heavy armor is even heavier but gives a shit ton more defense
  • since backstabs now require you to hit with a kick or a dagger first to set up the backstab, medium and heavy rolls are way more viable
  • huge buff to whips: all whip attacks ignore shields
  • fists and whips have early animation cancel opportunities
  • weapon blocking is way better now, and the length of time you've been blocking increases how much stamina it takes to block, so you're encouraged to not run around shield up constantly

Extremely brave of him to take so much effort to turn Dark Souls into Dark Souls 2
I kinda like how it goes several steps farther than even Dark 2 did. I absolutely hate Dark Souls 1's PvP for a lot of the reason this mod addresses. I really wanna try this out.

Oh I don't disagree, I just think it's funny he makes so many of the same changes 2 did without mentioning it (the specter of DS1's PVP scene hangs heavy over the mechanical changes made in DS2, for better or for worse)
