After the original CWoT succumbed to a failed Flashectomy, Another Clever Waste of Time has arisen as a hopefully worthy successor to the original. The new site is run by the same guy, and looks like it came straight out of 2005 just like I remember. An entirely in-browser puzzle solving manipulate-all-the-things experience, you'll be looking in the source code, changing file extensions, swapping directories, converting hex to ascii, listening to morse code among many other things for clues leading you to the right string of text for your next URL, and next puzzle to solve. There's a bajillion levels to solve too, so if you're into this sort of thing there's plenty here to keep you busy. The first ten, twelve levels or so are intentionally hand-holdy to ease you into the sort of logic the rest of the puzzles build on, but will ramp up in difficulty fairly soon if it's anything like the original.
Started it up tonight. Did pretty well until slamming into "What do I do with this decoded information?" on Level 19. I think I need to sleep on it and come back with fresh eyes.
