Everyone has a podcast, right? This has been on my to-do/wish list for nearly a decade and with COVID and a new book in the series being announced I decided it finally had to happen. Also, I was just lucky enough to be a personal friend of THE official living Lore Bible for the Dragonlance series, @shivam

The Chronicles of Dragonlance is a book by book journey through the Dragonlance novels. Where Shivam and I discuss the plot, the background, the culture, etc of what went into these books and what came out of them. Right now it is a monthly podcast and the first episode was released on April 2.

I hope you will join us! You can find the first episode here! (you should also be able to find it in most podcatchers at this point!)

In our first episode (up now!) Shivam and I introduce ourselves, how we first encountered Dragonlance and what the podcast is going to be! It's a quick listen as well!

Looking forward to hearing the first actual episode. It's been ages since I read any Dragonlance; are you going to recap the plot of each book to any degree?

We're going chapter through chapter of each book talking about the background for all this stuff and such. Actually, its me asking dumb questions and Shivam being the font of Dragonlance Wisdom!

I never read any of these growing up, and started reading the first book because of this, so thanks! The first book seems good so far, the characters are nice, if mostly stereotypical, but I wonder how many of those stereotypes came from this series, or adapted from Tolkien? I see the surly dwarf, the hobbit/kender, the slight tweak of the elf by making him half-elf. The wizard being a jerk is pretty new, though. I'm only 30 pages in, and have plenty of time for development.

Seeing as there are dozens and dozens of books, they really do have time to grow and develop.
