A Thought Experiment: By R.R. Bigman

I had an odd thought pop into my head. Imagine if one day, maybe tomorrow, astronomers catch sight of a planet from a distant galaxy that has somehow gotten dislodged from it’s orbit and is on a collision course with Earth. The math says the odds are really bleak and a direct hit from the much larger planet is almost assured.

The thing is, it won’t get here for another 537 years. What are the next 537 years on Earth like with a near exact number of known days left until everything dies?

...is this a metaphor for climate change? I feel like this is a metaphor for climate change.

I'd like to think that there would be efforts to colonize other planets in the solar system and move everyone there in time. But I also wouldn't be surprised if there were plenty of people trying to prove that the whole thing is a scam, so the efforts to do something about it would be off-again, on-again across the centuries.

Aw man, I miss minus. I wonder if the artist has been up to anything lately. Last I heard they just kind of unceremoniously disappeared off the internet unfortunately.
