elementary my dear baxter
I love this game so so much. If I could play the SoR4 music in each level with the classic victory theme at the end it would be flawless beyond measure.
But that's not what this thread is about this thread is about how the Mr. X Nightmare DLC is both super fun and addictive and also profoundly frustrating. I have been beating my head against an absolute brick wall in this bugger for weeks, maybe even months now?? The highest level I've ever achieved is 22 and the number of times I've died at 21 would be embarrassing if I hadn't died at lower levels hundreds of times more. Today was particularly embarrassing where I capped out at level 11 after more than half a dozen tries, some of them in co-op with friendly fire off.
The weird part is I can tell, explicitly see how my moment to moment gameplay is much much better than when I started. My combos are far more solid, I'm better at avoiding attacks in general, and I honestly keep impressing myself with moments of really cool effective gameplay. And yet I always hit that moment, earlier and earlier it seems, where I suddenly completely lose my flow and get slaughtered so fast that I barely have time to react. It's weird.
