part 3/3
Anyway, Mist Cave! Or, well, we would, except:

What's this? Hi there buddy. Quote:
A rumbling sound plays as we progress through the cave. It's probably nothing. Everything is fine. So let's talk about treasure! We find a Steel Helm, and...oh, that's not nothing. Ceodore tries to cross, but the cave rumbles, and... Imagine me pinching the bridge of my nose. One day, Ceodore will succeed at a simple task. One day...but not today. The Hooded Man, in a kind/stupid gesture, jumps down after us. He can indeed, so now we have to find our way out. Unlike his dad, Ceodore does not have the Exit/Teleport spell. However, there's more treasure down here! Silent Bell, Mythril Gloves, Phoenix Down, Remedy, Antidote, X-Potion, Arctic Wind, Cottage, Chainmail. Also secret passages. There's a save room up ahead, and not-Namingway's in there too. He offers to sell us basic items, and also reminds us that we can't leave except by going forward, so maybe watch out with your save file. Eventually, we come to a chamber of sorts, and the shaking continues. Quote:
Now we fight the Tunneler. It's not too bad. It hits for about 150 or so, but Ceodore's Cura will heal for 500, so. Eventually, it starts using Earthquake a lot. This would be an issue, except Ceodore gets Float around this time, so you can avoid it easily. The fight's not much of a challenge, except it has too much HP. But eventually, it will fade to dust. Quote:
The stairs drop us off near the end of vanilla Mist Cave, but let's pick up these last few chests before we move on-- Oh yeah it's a full moon. Well this is awkward...run away! Thunder Dragons are a little outside my paygrade right now. Right, where was I? Oh yes, treasure. A Hi-Potion, Bomb Crank, and Mallet round out the rewards of the cave, and with that, we progress onward. As we do, we notice some soldiers also in the cave. Quote:

And that wraps up Ceodore's Tale, on a cliffhanger. The game prompts us to save clear data for the tale; you should probably do that. I know this is supposed to be the "primary" Tale, but all of these scene changes are getting really annoying. Thankfully, I don't remember the other Tales having it quite this bad. Next time, on Dragon Ball Z The After Years: several Tales! Here is a list of tales you can choose from:
Highest votes when I post the Ceodore Challenge update wins. Please look forward to it! |

Porom seems pretty together nowadays, let's check in on her Tale.

Edward.
The teleporter maze was all the farther I ever made it in this game. |

The implication is that the Red Wings consists of a single ship and about five people.

I can't remember what the best and worst tales were, but I remember liking Edward and the Twins, so let's save those. Edge is lame, let's get him over with. |

Somebody is cosplaying Rydia and ganked her dragon, we should probably see if she's okay.

Not starting with the Interlude?

There was never any hope of playing these Tales chronologically anyway, so.
(I'll probably get the interlude before the Final Tale) |

Spoony Bard.
Not that I'm biased. |

My assumption here is that the other ships crashed into the ocean and had no survivors.

It picks up right where The Last Jedi leaves off.

IIRC, Edge's Tale was pretty cool as you try all the different characters, Palom and Yang were nice, while Rydia and Porom were kinda meh... Edward's Tale was the worst by far though
I would say to go in chronological order, so... Rydia |

Palom's Tale & Edward's Tale were the only two that I liked, of those that I played. Still, I don't know if that means that I think we should start there or space them out, so I'm abstaining.

Porom's tale. The twins always got short thrift on character progression.
