Nika's progress is pretty excellent, but she can't quite hit Dr. Xu's current location just yet.

So, my plan is this. I need to time it just right, but if Sharp plants his EMP at the right point in their patrols, he can catch a large number of guards in the blast, giving Nika time to shoot as many as she can reach.

Not perfect, but she'll make it work. We need as much PWR as we can secure for this. Remember, each shot from the Flurry Gun costs 4 PWR.

Banks parks herself here to help with supporting fire.

Excellent, that hits everybody.

Sharp plants it, and he and Monst3r hurry behind cover for the inevitable guard running into their room.

THOOM.

That didn't take down the Pulse Drone, because of its Magnetic Reinforcements. This lategame enhancement on mainframe devices says that if they're hit by an EMP, it only works if they have 2 or less firewalls, and breaks 2 firewalls otherwise. But still, that covered a lot of ground.

Wait what THAT WASN'T IN THE PLAN

Well, if there was a turn for this to happen, now's as perfect a time as any.

Brace yourself, Nika, this is gonna hurt you and a LOT of other people.

Protector goes down. The EMP destroyed his shielding AND heart monitor.

Needs more armor-piercing.

May as well.

Screw you too.

But there's a problem. Even with Aces in play, the Flurry Gun can't punch through the Soldiers' armor. But we still have someone who can reach them. Sharp uses his Stim on Monst3r, giving him that little extra bit of AP...

For a clean shot on one of the two guards flanking Banks.

This gets us a nice big bowl of Portcullis, which is tolerable at this point.

As it happens, the average agent IS faster on the draw than a guard in Overwatch. So with one guard holding her at gunpoint downed...

Cowgirled!

Unfortunately, Nika probably doesn't want to kill the last guard. Remember, their heart monitor can't be disabled, even by that EMP Sharp used. And once they go down, the other guards will be back on their feet near instantly.

So instead, she hurries over to Banks and returns her Paralyzer briefly.

That'll keep those two guards in check for a while.

As for you, I'm totally willing to take the alarm hit rather than let you discover all the mayhem we just pulled.

That raises the alarm level by 2 but whatevs maaaaan

And after all that, the only guy left standing is the Harbinger patrolling near the mainframe.

OH NO GUYS I CAN'T HACK THE NANOFAB FOR MONST3R BECAUSE OF PORTCULLIS

Meh. Sprint on over there, pal, we wasted enough time with that wall as is.

Once he gets in, Dr. Xu locks the door behind him.

No big deal, everyone's pinned right now anyway. Jolt effects don't work on pinned guards!

Took you long enough GET IN

Just like the databanks or the financial executive, Monst3r's gonna be here for a while. Thankfully, we can afford that for now.

Hey Sharp go see what's for sale.

Hm. Torque Injectors are handy enough, they reduce all item cooldowns by 1 for that agent. I recall a run using Archive Dr. Xu where I gave him this and a bunch of items, because instead of his EMPunch, his augment grants +2 PWR whenever he uses a cooldown item. So I basically made him into a Batman battery. Outside of stupid garbage like that, this augment is nice, but not especially high priority.

Only thing I'd consider buying for now is a Charge Pack to replenish Dr. Xu's stim, and he's locked in with Monst3r right now, so.

This is a surprise to no one.

HAHA WHOOPS WE DON'T NEED THIS BECAUSE PORTABLE SERVERS ARE INSANE

Oh hey that's new.

Nothing we haven't handled before though. Nika can tag him easily.

Just need to line up a good shot.

Done.

Wait what

So, for those of you that were browsing the options list way the hell early on in the LP. Remember this line?

Yeah, hi, here we are.

This is why I had Dr. Xu lock the door. We're not just getting one enforcer in here, we're getting SEVERAL.

Nika throws down a second dose of Paralyzer and hurries off to assist.

This also alerted the Harbinger, so Sharp needs to adjust his position slightly.

That'll work.

OMNI's not done yet, though!

If you've been lax with your hacking, this can become a sudden dangerous threat. But we can't hold all the PWR we're generating. We're doing fine there, Failsafe means nothing to us.

Needs more tags.

Sharp somewhat overcorrected with the Harbinger, but it probably isn't a problem, probably.

Central's got an opening, I'm taking it. Get in there.

All that waiting around we did earlier is starting to bite us in the back.

Dr. Xu's location just got found as well, and I'm not letting him go down without a fight.

Nice, only thing left is to open the door for Central.

While that happened, Dr. Xu did some ninja nonsense and KO'd the guards around the area while hiding the body. I didn't know if I would hit the reinforcements in the elevator through the wall, but hey, no time like the present to learn.

At first, Monst3r decides to stand at the entrance just in case. But if you look closely, you can see the guard has Z's coming from him in the elevator, so the Holocircuit Overloaders DO hit through walls.

Almost there.

I didn't pick up the Z's, but I did want to hold off because of the Harbinger incoming. Don't want to KO them AND trip a daemon all at once.

Hold up, what?

Oh damn, son.

Shortly after you hack the Security Hub, Incognita independently installs Turing, the strongest breaker in the game. It hits every mainframe object she can currently access for 2 firewalls, and it costs 5 PWR.

Sorry, did I say 5 PWR? I meant "Seed is the best lategame PWR program there is."

This DOES trip daemons, so be careful if you haven't already dealt with all the daemon-infested objects. And it shows up late enough to not actually do a whole lot for you unless your existing breakers REALLY suck. Still, it's nice to have.

Right, Dr. Xu. You're not done yet, now you need to keep the fun brigade in check while Monst3r escapes.

Central's all set.

GUYS I THINK THIS WALL MIGHT BE A SPY

The guards have all woken up here, but only one is going to stay conscious for a while.

Unfortunately, Monst3r's sprinting caught their attention. Which means Dr. Xu's gonna have a wild ride ahead of him.

Time for a lesson, everyone!

Sharp shows up for more support with the Stim, planning to take Monst3r's current spot for cover.

And a good thing too, his sprinting still got the Harbinger's attention.

The scanning grenade catches Dr. Xu's position, but he's in exactly the right spot to bait everyone towards him.

<Monst3r> If you say so.
No sprinting this time, we don't need this guy THAT close to our heels.

Dr. Xu can't avoid notice altogether, but he CAN keep the guards interested while still getting to safety. Perfect.

Nika gets a few more tags in on the new guys, not that we really need them.

Home stretch, everybody.

AGH one AP shy of the terminal. Well, y'know what that means.

ALL ABOARD THE ALARM LEVEL 6 HYPE TRAIN

Once you hit this, a literal alarm starts sounding in the music. And among other things, they throw in a LOT more reinforcements than before.

The fun never stops for Dr. Xu, does it?

Okay, you two can leave now.

Nika and Banks take off into the starting room, and Dr. Xu manages to avoid notice despite having the entire facility breathing down his neck.

Will he live to see another day? Will anybody?

Trick question: it's irrelevant!

Backrank checkmate, son!

As soon as Central enters, everything else becomes irrelevant. We can't select other units, alarm level doesn't advance, Central isn't bound to AP anymore...

It's just her, Incognita, and the mainframe.

Time for an ending cutscene.

There's a bit that's hard to catch there, but to summarize:

Incognita was planning to get SecNet access the whole damn time. We don't know exactly who her contacts were, but she was convincing enough (Turing wasn't a name pulled out of a hat) to fool at the very least Monst3r with a false identity, and Central by keeping the entire scheme under wraps, and at most all four of the major corporations into supplying her with the raw manpower to get everything done. Which means she orchestrated the hit on Invisible, Inc. in the first place to force their hand and get her moving.

The first thing she does upon hitting SecNet isn't to put Invisible, Inc. underground. That's way too short term for her, when the actual problem is right in front of her: the four megacorps that are dragging all of humanity down. So she does the simple solution and just holds the magnifying glass over a few colonies.

With one exception: Sankaku Heavy Industries. You remember them, right? Guys who used combat drones a lot? She doesn't killsat their HQ, but instead commands all the drones inside to purge them of human life. From there, she then starts issuing mass production from their facilities of, at the very least, Akuma-class drones.

So Central found herself accomplice to her pseudo-daughter's genocide, and worse, her replacing the oligarchy of the four megacorps with a dictatorship run by an AI. The fact that the crew of Invisible, Inc. is granted mercy doesn't erase the damage done. She's just changed the world, altered the course of history. And not in a way you want to go down in history books for.

In short:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WE WIN

That went way better than expected. Ordinarily, that final mission we did is just what you get for Day 4 without the DLC, so I probably won't be doing another run of the game. But hey, I conveyed the basics pretty cleanly. And I'm gonna go play this some more later. But for now, I think that wraps it up. Hope you enjoyed reading. All hail our new AI overlords!

(No I will not be LPing Expert Plus, this was long enough as is and Expert Plus would destroy me)

Get everyone behind cover in the starting room, because the last thing you need in this mission is an early discovery because some Protector or Harbinger rolled in unannounced.
Can confirm; this happens. Second turn of the last mission is the #1 time for rewinds.

So the DLC adds in higher difficulties, but the end scoring doesn't reward you for them? Laaame.

Congrats on the win! I feel like Invisible, Inc. is a game that does an excellent job of convincing you that it's way harder than it actually is. It does a masterful job of ratcheting up the tension, even when there's no real danger -- I mean, you can probably count on one hand the number of times you were spotted in this run, and even when things go south, you can usually pull through.

Which is not to say that it's an easy game: if you find that it's not challenging enough, there are enough difficulty options to make you change your opinion.
