It's been a very long time since I played this so I can't remember if you can shoot your main gun at the same time as your secondary weapons. I think it would have sped things up if you could have done that. |

You're probably right, Torzelbaum.

I didn't forget this LP.
I've just had to throw out over 50 attempts. Yes, it's that ridiculous. |

Oh, and there's a video or something, too. #11: Corridor 3 Where Red has to try post-processing for the first time ever, does the corridor on autopilot, and really hates this boss. Item Pickups Third Key - Grants access to Area 4 Last edited by Red Silvers; Yesterday at 04:17 AM. |

If someone was having a really dire time trying to get to the boss with full health, that mild bullet hell section would be the perfect time for them to bust out the enemy erasers. Especially since they don't use chips. It sounded like you were going to show off the EE exploit there at the end but it looked like you only used it once, did you change your mind? |

In some of the failed attempts, I actually used them during the boss fight. They CAN (but frequently don't) make the boss drop pickups. This is the only way you can get pickups off the Blue Optomon boss.
The problem with doing it during the boss is that you throw off your timing and/or you don't get anything worth it. |

Please forgive me if I'm mistaken, but it sounds like you don't know of the exploit I'm talking about. It still wouldn't be wise to use during a difficult boss for the reasons you've already said.
I'm going to spoiler this in case I'm wrong and you're just holding out on the explanation for another video. Enemy explosions are valid EE targets. That is to say that destroying a screenfull of things with an EE, then spamming more EEs will continue to reroll the drops of every explosion on the screen. Now a good number of these drops will overlap and disappear, but you could theoretically just keep wasting EEs until most of the destroyed enemies drop items (some of which will probably be more EEs). |

Gotta admit, finding all these fanarts is a lot of fun, as is sharing them with you. #12: Corridor 14 Where Red gets two of the same item, fights an easy boss for a change, and totally didn't explore this entire Area. #14: Corridor 6 Where Red sequence breaks to open half the game, flies into a volcano, and erases all the enemies. This was kinda a last minute decision, but I thought "hey, sequence breaking is always interesting, right? Also, note that the name is listed as Alyssa in that fanart. That's because The Guardian's name is never revealed in the game or the English instruction manual. Miria is the name given in the Japanese version, as well as the designation "System D.P." cyborg. Alyssa is her fanon name. Item Pickups Fifth Key Grants access to Areas 7 and 8 Seeker - Level 2 Last edited by Red Silvers; Yesterday at 04:30 AM. |

"Oreo cookies." I would say Oreos don't have red or blue filling but I'm probably wrong. Still oreos are squat discs not spheres! Maybe you should call those enemies Orbeos instead.

Halloween Oreos have orange filling, which is close enough to red. And I'm pretty sure there's some type of Oreo with blue filling. :P

In this type of game I would always try to use just the basic weapon as long as possible (I never learned the boss weaknesses in Megaman 5 for example). Around here is where I switch to the fireball weapon. Those volcanoes are just too much.
Also, those Oreos are totally killable. The ones in the central area should go down in ~20 seconds with the attack upgrades you have. Still not worth the effort of course. |
