Top Spin doesn't suck?! Let's Play Mega Man 3!
Our story thus far...
In my old video thread, I started a playthrough of Mega Man 3, with audience participation for Robot Master orders. The order... turned out to be not so efficient. Nonetheless, armed with the power of dance, 8 robot masters fell! Spark Man Top Man Needle Man Gemini Man Hard Man Snake Man Magnet Man Shadow Man Somewhere along the way, I learned to make my video quality look less like ass, even! But after the 8 Robot Masters, a twist, as a group of robots called the Doc Robots took over four of the existing stages, using dark powers from Mega Man's past... With Talking Time's feedback in hand, and armed with awesome remixes, I returned to three of these stages, taking on the tougher robots from Mega Man 2... Doc Robot Needle Man Doc Robot Gemini Man Doc Robot Shadow Man But then, in a surprise twist, the thread was closed! So now, the Blue Bomber has a new thread of his own, as we finish this out. |

Can you do Break Man with Top Spin?
Just being curious. And hey, it would be fun to see you waste an E-tank on that guy if it fails. |

Pretty sure Breakman's immune to everything but the arm cannon.

Break Man is immune to everything, and even normal Proto Man is immune to Top Spin.

I actually wasn't aware of that(just so you know I wasn't trying to be really sadistic). Just haven't ever tried using different weapons on him.

Seriously!? Give us a break, man.

Let's get this show on the road!
But first, a moment to celebrate. And with that out of the way... Break Man and Wily Castle 1 I decided that just Break Man would be too short, so here's the first Wily Castle stage too.. including the full version of the Wily Castle map screen that you can't hear in normal gameplay! For some reason, the game cuts off the song after about 3 seconds and ports you right to the stage. |

I really meant to get this up last night, but...
Wily Castle 2 And now a question for you, viewers... Dodging = Memorization, quick reaction, muscle memory, or...? |

|

|
|||
Memorization for when he enters, then reaction once he's there.
Actually you can get in 3 hard knuckles with good timing each cycle. I don't see how you're missing the second one, that's usually a freebe and your timing looks okay. |

Depends on the situation.
For Yellow Devil in MM3, I would say it's mostly reaction. And some luck when all the pieces fly at you at once. I rarely manage to dodge those. That's why I would say the Yellow Devil in MM1 is so much easier. That's just pure reaction, and some minor memorization(to remember to do a LONG jump only when his crotch piece flies at you). |

Bosses with long periods of invincibility are not very fun to fight.

This is why I actually like Yellow Devil mk. 2 much more than most devils: you can kill him very fast with three hard knuckles a cycle and the wave of parts attack resolves super quick. Likely the fastest non-pause trick devil fight in the series.

So, I mentioned in the video that I didn't know what other weapons would hurt the Yellow Devil Mk.II.
So I looked it up... and his secondary weakness is the Shadow Blade. I wonder how much faster that would be... |

So I decided to do a crazy thing and start doubling up levels for the end of this.
But the real question is, can I do something else awesome with the Top Spin? Wily Castle 3 & 4 One video remains! |

Yes, a thousand times, yes!

In the beginning, there were 8 Robot Masters. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily sent them to eight different planets, seeking elements that they needed to build Gamma, the peace-keeping robot.
But then the Robot Masters went crazy, and Mega Man was forced to track them down, defeat them, and recover the elements needed for Gamma. Unknown to Dr. Light, Dr. Wily was plotting all along, and the moment that the final element was received, he sent out Doc Robot to intercept Mega Man, and finally his secret weapon, Break Man, but Mega Man took down every challenger, and returned to Dr. Light. Learning the truth about Dr. Wily, Mega Man was forced to head to the Skull Castle. Equipped with his trusty Arm Cannon, and with Rush as his companion, they stormed the castle, entering through the sewer system before entering the inner workings of the castle. Guardians stood in their way... but not for long. The eight Robot Masters made a final appearance... but they too did not last long. Finally, Wily's sanctum awaits... FINALE: Wily Castle 5 & 6 |
