Default I bet you've never seen all the Ogre Battle endings in one place before.

After many years, and with the help of several people, I finally managed to get all the endings and the many (many!) variations for all the Ogre Battle / Tactics Ogre games (minus ports/remakes). There was no place online (not even Youtube or Gamefaqs) where you could see or read every single ending variation the series has.

The hardest one to do was definitely the Super Famicom Tactics Ogre due to the insane amount of ending variations it contains. The NeoGeo Pocket Ogre Battle doesn't have many variations, but since it's purely in Japanese, I thought I was going to have to skip that one, but in the end, I a kind soul translated everything for me. The last one I completed (just today), was the Ogre Battle 64 ending, which I never thought I was ever going to be able to achieve either.

But it's finished now, and I'm proud to have the entire saga documented. If you are an Ogre Battle fan, then you will like this (shameless plugs aside):

Ogre Battle: The March of The Black Queen (Episode 5, 1993)

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (Episode 7, 1995)

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber (Episode 6, 1999)

Densetsu no Ogre Battle Gaiden: Zenobia no Ouji (Gaiden, 2000)

Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis (Gaiden, 2002)

A friend once told me: "The Internet is only as good as what people put in it."

So, this is my grain of sand.

The PSP version of LUCT would basically be a fool's errand since it has all the variations of the SNES version and then some, plus the really crummy decision to only let the player see one character epilogue instead of all of them.

The original is the same way, actually. But it's totally dumb that they didn't change it for the remake, especially since fucking Azelstan has top priority over the route exclusive characters. Beating the game should have at least unlocked all the scenes you meet the requirements for in the Warren Report, even if it didn't show them all. As I recall, the ending doesn't show up in it at all...

Yeah I remember having to kill off priority characters to let other lesser characters have their scenes.

This is doing its best not to load for me. I can already tell a ton of effort went into this, though, so my hat's off to you. Been listening to the LUCT soundtrack (and the amazing Grand Repeat) all week, so I'm right in the mood for this.

I think Warren Moon was a NFL quarterback.

Nice job, Rey!

I was just about to link to the NeoGAF version of this post. Guess I should pay more attention to screen names. Hell of a job, Rey!

This is absolutely amazing; nice work, Rey!

I was surprised to see how many characters have epilogues in the original Tactics Ogre; I always made a point of keeping all my non-generic characters alive, so I had no idea that many of them had epilogues which you could only see if higher-priority characters weren't in your party. I just assumed the writers forgot about them.

Seeing the different endings for Ogre Battle was really interesting, as well; I'd always thought that the ending you got was mostly dependent on your Chaos Frame and Alignment, but it looks like there are some other factors involved, too.

Thanks!

In the first game it's a mix of that and if you collected certain special items or if you had certain characters in your party.

Thanks for sharing all of these! They kinda just make me want to replay March of the Black Queen, but I think that will come later in the year.

Yeah, that's why they changed his name for the remake.

This is an amazing effort as usual, Rey.

I forgot that Lans is pretty much a central character in all of the extant OB games except for 64.

Three! The Knight of Lodis is all about Lans' backstory (to say otherwise would be...spoilerish).

Lans is also a pointless unlockable character in the NGPC game.
