I'll get to the brand new Deadlife in time. As for right now, I just pulled the trigger on "The Order of Chaos" and holy hell, that album slays. I'm not sure yet but I might prefer it over "Bionic."

Oh, so this is how this type of music is made.

Well there go my dreams of being a synthwave artist

Generally I agree, but on the other hand, tracks seem so much better whenever Hayley Stewart or Greta Link make an appearance.

Some of the synthwave stuff has really good vocals, like on Master Boot Record's "Direct Memory Access." Isn't Greta also on a Gost album? She's pretty good, she has a strong voice.

I'm not a big fan of Hayley Stewart though. She's not the only example, but I get the sense that synthwave producers have this weird thing for girls with breathy, childlike voices, Hayley being one of them. It doesn't suit me, but to each their own I suppose.

Perhaps it's for a contrast between a gritty sound and ethereal vocals.

Can't say for sure, but it's a contrast I enjoy.

It seems like a commonality for a lot of electronic music. I'm not a huge fan either, though.

Ah sorry, it was not Greta Link I was thinking of, but Kriistal Ann. Here's the Gost track she's on: "Arise"
