How many of these Thunderdomes have we done?

Is it time for a Thunderdome' Champions Thunderdome?

Well, there are worse things than losing to the champion! Thanks for running the 'dome!

Thanks for running this, False! It was fun! And much better turnout than I expected for one of the more arcane dome subjects. Now, only five more weeks until you get your life back!

Anyhoo, I figure I'll start up submissions for the next one on Friday afternoon, give everyone a chance to breathe.

Oh crap I forgot to vote in the last round. But I would've voted for Monty anyway so it's all good.

Thanks for running False. Though I gotta say, I'm not sure spacing out voting periods over two days instead of every day works. At least for me, I found it harder to remember to come back to vote for each round. Remembering to visit a thread once a day? Easy. Remembering every two days? Much harder than I expected, actually!

I think that was more because False is a busy beaver than anything else (also, what's the next 'dome going to be again?)

I gave it two days for two reasons: 1) How busy my personal life is and, 2) How few people we had participating in the thunderdome. I wanted to make sure we got as many votes as possible and those first couple days I noticed not everyone was voting in the first day so I expanded it.

So this was the first Thunderdome I participated in (I remember Solitayre suggested it to me? where is he anyway?).

My biggest disappointment was Touhou losing. I was however positively surprised how often my votes matched with the winner. The biggest discrepancy I noticed was with some old "beepy" songs (including Monty) that for me are very hard to listen to, but apparently are very popular here. My favorite track out of the ones I didn't nominate was the Snake one which made it to the finals. I didn't even realize Metal Gear even had a good OST before. I guess my taste isn't as far off as me (and people) think!
