I would say it ought to be included for the same reason prototype music counts

I'm... not sure. XIV existed for years before they nuked it and rebooted, right? It was widely accessible, unlike the limited Pokemon Championship theme above. I'm being lenient with the criteria to try to get the nominations up, but I think I'd have to rule no in this case.

Great soundtrack, though. I own the OST even though I've never played any version of XIV.

Maybe? The main reason I have prototype music included is to allow for tracks that changed significantly between beta and final (like this).

Nominations close in a few hours. 12 AM Pacific. I probably won't be calculating everything until tomorrow night, so anybody that's expressed interest above is still free to confirm those nominations until tomorrow evening.

My nominations are:
Final Fantasy IV - Restless Moments (unused)
Ys: The Oath in Felghana - Descendant of Genos
Undertale - Dogtroid

Hard to narrow it down to just three, honestly. There's so much interesting stuff out there that I want to share... but I don't want to flood this with my own nominations.

Assuming I'm not too late:

Xenosaga II - Fatal Fight (Jin and Margulis)

Xenoblade Chronicles X - In The Forest

Final Fantasy VIII - Raid On Dollet

Cool, thanks.

After tallying everything up to everyone's secondary alt... if I give everyone a main, an alt, and a second alt, we have 40 nominations. If I give everyone a Main and an Alt we have 31.

Here's what I'm thinking: Rather than just give one person a second alt and throwing out the other 8, how about we do a special first round? 8 matches with 5 songs each, voting to eliminate one of the 5. After that, we continue on with a simple 32 track bracket. Or does listening to 5 tracks a night sound like too much?

I'm fine with starting with a special first round.

that's cool but i actually thought of a submission too

the song change was location tested for beatmania iidx about eight years ago before being replaced with a similar but louder/faster song with a different name at that version's release

I'll just add spineshark's late nomination and we'll run a 32 song 'dome, then. Expect the thread to be up tonight.
