There's someone who doesn't like Axel F?! Or is this just terrifying and theoretical.

Monsters.

I fell in love with Axel F years (decades?) before I even watched Beverly Hills Cop. I seem to associate it with LAZER shows on the sides of monuments.

Any OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) fans here? I'm getting into them (beyond "If You Leave") and as a near-lifelong synthpop fan they're making me go OMG (wah wah). Highly recommended.

Anything by Dance With the Dead. The first 1.5 minutes of Robeast offers pretty much everything you need to know. FYI, Bandcamp is currently offering a 20% discount on their full discography.

New Pet Shop Boys in April! The teaser track is another club banger, which boded well for their last album (they got bogged down in ballady shit for a lot of the '00s).

God this remix of the Long Good Friday overture gets my blood boiling. In a good way. I'm ready to tear up the town from the safety of my computer.

I got a bomb in me casino

how the hell did i never notice this thread before synth music is my lifeblood, especially anything that sounds like it came from an '80s scifi movie or '70s italian disco, time to go trawling

This is the best thread on the forum.

It is a floating and ever-expanding mandala of delightful synth melodies that raises the soul to limitless heights of vivid, transcendental pleasure.

Also there are killer remixes in Rebelfire's link.

Guys, the new Lemon Demon (Neil Cicierega) album Spirit Phone has not been mentioned here: https://lemondemon.bandcamp.com/album/spirit-phone

If you like hooky leads and arpeggiated synth bass, check out... every track. All while Neil does his best XTC/Devo impression on the vocals. Seriously, hooks coming out his ears.

Can we also talk about the best synth hook < 90 BPM, and why it's the bridge in The M Machine - Tiny Anthem

Is there one city In the u.s. where a lot of these kind of acts come through to perform on the reg? I need to move somewhere. I feel like Europe is where it's all at.

Denver, SF/LA, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago, and the general NYC have all had synth/electronica concerts that I know of (from following bands and the like).

cool cool, I'm in the south bay, sf is nice, but too expensive. I'll keep the other places in mind. I want to visit LA sometime soon. maybe I can eke out an existence there with my non discernible job skills. I'll see...

back to the music. this Linea Apsera is a personal fave.
also this new Umberto album is p. cool.
