Default Name That Film!

That’s not a clever title or some sort of forum game or anything. I’m just unable to recall the name of a movie. And so why not make a thread for that expressed purpose?

Anyway, I have very little info to go on here as I only saw the movie once when I was, like, eight. But it was a live-action action movie about robots (?) attacking a military base and one commando liberating it. The climax included a single giant robot who wielded a nuclear missile like a cane and had a philosophical discussion about it. I want to say it was an early 90s movie, may have been late 80s.

I thought it was Invasion USA, but I don’t believe Chuck Norris fought any giant robots in that.

Was it Robot Jox? Or maybe Robot Wars? Those are the only two from the time period that jump to mind.

It certainly wasn’t Robot Jox, and I don’t think it was Robot Wars, but human memory is a fallible thing.

The philosophical missile discussion makes me wonder if you're just very fuzzily remembering Dark Star?

You are clearly talking about Short Circuit. Everyone remembers the famous scene where Johnny 5 waxes philosophically about the nature of war, bookended by two Groucho Marx impressions.

Remember when we had that forum game where we tried to guess a movie based on the IMDB tags?

Whose turn is it?

When I was a kid, I had a memory of some movie where a woman like slid off a cliff in Ye Olde Times, either to commit suicide or because she was being executed. I used to think maybe this was Highlander, but now I don’t. (never seen it) Anyway: what is the movie?

Also, is it the same movie with a woman stompin on grapes? Did I ever see a movie with this?

I wanna say it's the 1993 Three Musketeers film.

Was there a movie I was trying to remember ... or was it a comic book?

Johnny DangerouslyUnusual's

We also had another game about guessing a movie from a picture. (It was Teg's turn in that thread.)

This is definitely the right answer; I just watched it a few a weeks ago.
