Heat Man and Charge Man stages aside, this isnít quite as difficult as the first one. The disappearing block section in Heat Manís stage is cruel, so I ended up using the hover board after getting to the extra life at the end of the lava. Donít judge me!
Mega Man 2 was the first game I remember specifically asking for. My mother brought me to some weird place in our tiny town where a nice woman helped us order it from a sears catalog (I'm really not sure what store that would have been, it certainly wasn't a sears). I've played it countless times. The boobeam trap and the quickman lasers are child's play. I have never beaten the disappearing block section in Heat Man's stage legitimately.

The Wily Castle stages are not as fun as the first eight.

I had to look up the alien boss. It was weak to bubbles because, I donít know, itís a hologram? Did I miss a clue somewhere?

Anyway, what was up with that sad, Kikaider-esque ending?

1) Story-wise, I think the idea is that the bubbles are damaging that floating projector. Otherwise, I just picked it up from trial and error.

2) I'd wager there's no deeper reason than that the staff had watched a lot of Kikaider.

Anyway, no new bosses to report. I just got through collecting all the bolts, buying upgrades, and again rueing the level design decisions for MM8. It basically feels like this (with "shmup" or "snowboard" or "raft" instead of "eggs"). I'll see what I can get done before Old Calendar Megamas.

And Rockman 8 is finished. I switched back to Japanese purely because I kept dying at the Tengu Man rematch and couldn't take anymore of his smug voice.

You realize this game doesn't have any E-Tanks?
