Wow, Nidhogg's pattern was super simple once I got over the intimidation factor.

Anyone know if there's a way to get this or if I glitched it out?

Wow, duh. I keep forgetting that some puzzles aren't really isolated to a single room.

Yeah, some of my favorite bits of LM1 were the puzzles that stretched across zones (though those were more logic and do weird things at certain spots deals).

Face ladder was some bullshit pixel hunting secret for something so critical. So very subtle.

Seeing all the news on the sequel has me interested in playing the original which has been in my backlog on Steam for forever.

What kind of game is this again? explorer/puzzle?

Beat Kujata last night, which probably would have been harder had I not gotten that upgrade from my last posted picture. I have zero clues what a mantra is or how its used, other than I found 1 or 2 of them wandering around. I assume its something they expected me to know from the first game?

Yeah, the mantras in 1 (beyond their own puzzle) acted as hints for and were part of many puzzles from what I remember. One of those elements that crosses many layers of the onion, so you probably want to write them down as you find them/take a screenshot.

Just a heads up that the 'EX' version of the first game which was released for the PlayStation Vita but is also PlayStation TV compatible is on sale this weekend for $3.99.

Iím pretty impressed with how often Iím finding an item, thinking to myself that itís going to break the game wide open and then immediately getting stuck again.

A patch was released that fixed some bugs; i.e, some bosses not properly registering as dead. If there was a mini boss that kept coming back to life and you thought it might be a puzzle you didn't solve right, it could have been this bug instead.

Unfortunately, germane to jpfriction's point above, beating this boss has not really gained me any ground...

I was wondering why that stupid bull came back and why he was suddenly dead again yesterday. Glad I didnít waste any Ankhs on him.

I broke and am ashamed.

Couldnít figure out the hints for the dark lordís footprints puzzle. Look at the name of the rooms you are in, idiot!

Also needed a little help learning what the item you get from the philosopher back in town does. With regards to the corridor of blood, anyway That one I feel less bad about because Iím not sure if it is clued at all other than one picture on a tablet that maybe kind of hints you should try holding something up.

Anyway, got another item that feels like it should lead to a ton of progress but probably will just get me a sacred orb.

There's a lady (Gerd I think her name was?) in Shrine of Frost Giants that tells you they can be "turned with dissonance" or summat.

I've made more than a little progress just popping in old doors I haven't been by in 10 hours and having the inhabitants tell me something new.

50 hours in and Iím definitely having trouble avoiding a guide after getting stuck for more than 5 minutes.

Loved the game, more hits than misses, but a few too many ďdo this random thing we kinda sorta hinted at on a tablet in a completely unrelated area to progressĒ puzzles in the late game for my tastes.

I've started a Let's Play of the English translation of the original version of La-Mulana. I will probably need some help, so please take a look.

Its a game where you progress by reading a guide. If that sounds fun to you, La-Mulana is your game.

I think the fact that I had to google that to know what it is makes this description even more accurate.
