I think the revamped swimming is an improvement overall. It's easier to control at medium speed, and you can still Go Fast at will. Makes the beaver race more interesting, too.

I suppose it depends on what put you off of the game.

Like I said, I have many complaints about Zelda post LTTP, and the bosses are by far the highest. The bosses in MM, from what I'm being told, are better than any other post LTTP Zelda, and in the revised version they are now standard Zelda bosses.

So, from that viewpoint, it turns me off of the new version. I think that's understandable.

I finally played the FFXV Platinum Demo and uh, well...it's an interesting idea for a demo. But...I didn't really play FFXV, did I?

I didn't like the change. Non-magic swimming is pretty slow and magic swimming drains that meter quickly.

I loved the movement of the dolphin and wish someone would make a game that played like Ecco but with a more reasonable difficultly curve.

If you want to see more of the game, try using codes for invincibility and skipping levels that are too hard (most are fine with invincibility on). The whole game is worth seeing; there's a neat story and I loved the ending. I'd also suggest trying Ecco 2: The Tides of Time. I seem to recall that one wasn't nearly as bad. I may have even finished it without cheats. And there's always Ecco Jr.
That's a good idea. That's how I used to play through most games as a kid, incidentally. Everything was too damn difficult!

More Monkey Madness is a Yoshi level with a sadistic underpinning even I find excessive.

I beat it, but it took me forever. Because I'm going for the 100%

Transformers Devastation is kinda awesome.

Too bad my nearly brand new controller is a piece of shit that somehow starts having random problems and then when that happens it only works when I smack the side of it with only a small amount of force some.

It's like something is loose inside of the controller and it just jolts it back into place, but without locking it in.

I am way behind on consoles, but I am tempted by some releases for Sony.

They released Minna de Spelunker and a bunch of SNK arcade games for PS3.
They released a bunch of obscure arcade games you would laugh at on PS4.
Would PS4 let me play all these games?
What about Vita?

PS3 games can't run on PS4. However, some games are cross-buy - after you buy them you can download versions for more than one console. These are clearly marked as such in the PSN store.

That said, looks like none of these are cross-buy. Disclaimer: I'm seeing the European listing, which usually lags behind some weeks on new small releases. We just got Towerfall for Vita a couple weeks ago, for example.

The SNK games are listed as PS Minis, so they are fully playable on the Vita.

Not 4, though.

Getting a PC-98 emulator to work is hard. (Maybe not actually that hard, but hard enough that it doesn't just work so I need to read more support documents...)

Friend of mine gave me a code for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. That's good!

Problem: I promised to play through it like nine months ago with my best friend/crush the first playthrough, and he does not have a copy at all. That's bad!

He's also being dumb and not buying it through humble bundle even though he could QUITE easily afford it. That's worse!

There's a new shiren out that Parish appears to like and I'm not currently playing it because I don't see it up on psn yet.

This is an atrocity.

I'll go one better and lament how this is the best summer for RPGs in years, and precisely the moment in my life where I have to slash my entertainment budget to basically zero.

I would looove a new Shiren.

Oh man, I hadn't heard about this, and it looks lovely, but now I'm griping about not playing it, and likely never will, since I don't have a Vita. :-/

Vitas are completely inessential, but also pretty great - I'm really happy with mine. Treat yo'self.

You kill a most of the bosses with your sword. The dungeon tool/gimmick is often part of the fight, but it's generally not just hit them with it then win.

Fibromyalgia, why don't you let me play Doom 2016? Why must you do this to me? Yesterday you didn't let me, and it seems like you won't let me today. Is it because I washed my hair? Is it because I told you your shirt looks funny?

In a world where Monster Hunter Generations exists, a week without terrible hand cramps is merely a fantasy.
