Dude with the goofy quad-sleeved Muzzio deck says his next EDH project is going to be creatureless Narset.

That is fantastic.

But what will he do with all that mana?

Oh my god. This is the first cycle of cards that are obviously EDH-based that I've gotten really excited about.

Yeah, one of my coworkers was ruminating about that deck today. Can you say Time Stretch, kids?

I really, really want to make my Zedruu deck work well, but it's so difficult when I see Narset's abilities.

Oh my god Icefeather Aven is amazing. The UG cards in this set are R&D's way of saying "Yeah, Simic was kinda lame both times, huh? Here's something you'll like" just to me.

You're talking about the colour combination that gave us one of the most irritating EDH cards ever printed.

A little off-topic, but - when folks talk about how great Innistrad was as a draft format, are they usually talking about INN INN INN or DKA INN INN? Or is there much of a difference?

HAH. Next to Boros and Orzhov (and hell, even Dimir)?

I don't like the "I tap out for a creature every turn" style they pushed both times with Simic, just as personal preference. For reference I also liked Horizon Chimera better than nearly every Simic card.

Rules text on Incremental Growth could be "If you control three or more creatures you win the game." to save time.

This draft deck went 1-2, but it felt pretty good when I was drafting it (7th pick Icefeather Aven!?). Honestly it did pretty well. Won match one. Lost match two to a play error (game three I didn't see my opponent's Thousand Winds had flying [yes, I know] and tried to play a blocker to stabilize instead of just burning it) and match three it felt like my opponent was just getting god draws because he curved out every game, always had the idea answer and never played a 4 mana spell after I drew my distainful strike and started to stablize (plenty of 3 mana removal).

Knuckleblade was my first pick and I'm super happy to have had it, because I was hoping to take either UG or UR depending on what was coming my way.

-Critters-
1 Embodiment of Spring
1 Icefeather Aven
1 Heir of the Wilds
1 Temur Charger
1 Savage Knuckleblade
1 Longshot Squad
2 Scaldkin (I may be overvaluing this)
1 Summit Prowler
1 Bear's Companion
1 Mystic of the Hidden Way
1 Snowhorn Rider
1 Wooly Loxodon
1 Glacial Stalker
-Spells-
1 Force Away
1 Distainful Strike
2 Winterflame
1 Arrow Storm
1 Incrimental Growth
1 Burn Away
-Lands-
1 Opulent Palace
2 Rugged Hilands
2 Thronwood Falls
1 Switftwater Cliffs
5 Island
3 Mountain
3 Forrest

so far Jeskai Ascendancy is looking like the real deal as an engine for loopy-ass combo decks.

also, funny: early in M15 some folks weren't even bothering to take their buy-a-box cards. foil Goblin Rabblemaster promo is now 15 bucks and climbing. whoops.

I bought a playset of Rabblemasters 6 weeks ago at 2 bucks a piece for a dorky Izzet token deck that I played for fun at FNM. Now they are 15 bucks a piece and a key component of the Jeskai Burn deck that I'm running. Value!

My Jaya deck reached a new record: Victory at 144 life! I actually ran out of d20s to keep track.

Okay, so this week I went 3-0. I generally don't draft aggro much, it just doesn't fit my play-style, but when you pass me and entire deck of it I'm going to draft it.

-Attackers-
1 Drowned Ancestor
1 Ruthless Ripper
1 Master of Pearls
1 Leaping Master
1 War-Name Aspirant
2 Mardu Skullhunter
1 Grim Haruspex
1 Mer-Ek Nightblade
1 Highspire Manits
1 Timely Hordemate
1 Mardu Warshrieker
1 Sage-Eye Harrier
2 Mardu Roughrider (this card is absurd)
1 Ponmyback Brigade
1 Shambling Attendants

-Burn (and some other stuff)-
1 Feat of Resistance
1 Mardu Charm
1 Trumpet Blast
1 Mardu Ascendency
1 Bring Low
1 Arrow Storm

-Land-
2 Bloodfell Caves
1 Wind0Scarred Craig
6 Swamp
5 Mountian
3 Plains

The fixing wasn't as good this time as my last deck, I wasn't able to table a ton of duals this go. I had a hard time hitting white, and if I had run into a faster deck I'd have wanted to cut the Master of Pearls (never hit WW before the game was over, he was pretty much a bear or a 3 mana 2/2 and a dream) and the Feat of Resistance for sideboard cards in Black or Red.

The format feels really really big right now, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Had a couple of guys come into work buying up the pieces for this deck here, wrecked a Standard event in Japan couple weeks ago. Super cheap and has some cute tricks involved -- you only ever tap Daring Thief for convoke, which means you keep re-triggering his inspired effect without having to risk him in combat.

I just think it's hilarious that a deck with like one six-dollar card blew out a bunch of dudes running $350 worth of planeswalkers.
