Default NOMINATIONS for the Radical 80s & Grungy 90s PC Thunderdome

Welcome to the nominations thread for our next Thunderdome. We've had about ten thousand of these things already but I don't think any of them have focused on the PC side of video gaming.

UNTIL NOW!

Seeing as I don't care how big this thing is or how long it is going to take me. I'm happy to have as many as 128 or even 256. Though that probably would require people to submit like five songs each. So, we'll go with nominating 2 songs at the start and then see what happens.

DA RULES

This is a little complicated because defining what exactly a 'PC' is can be difficult. If I saw IBM-PC compatible that leaves out Apple PCs (as well as Commodores, etc.) I think the best way to do this is to put down a list of PCs that count and then play it by ear if someone has a nomination for something I miss

Eligible PCs
IBM Personal Computer
IBM PC Compatible (Tandy/Dell/Compaq you know generic PC)
Apple/Apple II/Macintosh/Mac
Commodore
Amiga
Atari 800/Atari ST (Music must be from a game that was exclusive to Atari's computer line)
ZX Home Computers (81/Spectrum/QL)
PC-9800
X68000

Your nomination must have been released between the dates of 1/1/1980 and 12/31/1999

HOW TO NOMINATE

Each of your nominations must be bolded on its own line of text. Links to samples on youtube or other places should be placed after the bolded lines. Your nomination will not be considered unless you follow these directions. Don't muck this up!

I think that is it! So go crazy!

Noms when I get home from work, but the only two games that pop to my mind are Zeliard and Total Annihilation, haha.

I've nominated Zeliard a few times in the past, so I'm refraining this time (pending alts), but basically anything from that soundtrack is 'dome-worthy. So good.

That's what I'm doing, I'll cull mine down by priority. I've got to get them on paper when I find them, or I'll forget.

What's the limit on noms, anyway?

Also, can the MSX count?

This should be an interesting Thunderdome, though I don't know a whole lot of early PC music. I just got the one nom for now, I'll edit this post if I think of more.

Ultima VII Part 2: Serpent Isle - Bane's Theme
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YnUJMEHxUs

The Ultima VII games were probably some of the few PC games of the era I really got into, at least the only ones that had any music I could remember, and for whatever reason this track is the one that stuck with me the longest. I think it's because it has a very specific use. Unlike a lot of the rest of the music from those two games which was reused many times in many scenarios, the Bane's theme was unique to the Banes. You only first heard it when they showed up, and you didn't hear it again once they were vanquished. Plus, the moment where they first show up, possess your comrades, and then that music starts playing is pretty dang memorable.

EDIT: Speaking of PC games that end in VII, would the PC port of FFVII count? Seems like the sort of game to pluck some easy winners from, even if midi-fied, maybe we shouldn't use it. FFVIII for PC came out, I think, after the cut-off date.

EDIT2: Second one.

Warcraft II - Orc 3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbJ50hl-Ynw

A lot of the Warcraft II music is nostalgic for me, but this track most of all for some reason.

EDIT3: Ok, another one.

Starcraft - Zerg Theme 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrbN2y5r-vU

I'm gonna say that ports should be secondary. I would prefer PC games get nominated.

The Last Ninja - Stage 2 (The Wilderness)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RsRszs2_9U

Way of the Exploding Fist - Subtune 3

Rocking the C64 this contest. Picking a different Last Ninja tune than last time I nominated the game; if the noms increase I'll probably give Stage 1 a second go.
