I don't think it's possible for me to describe Tim to someone without making him sound like a huge asshole

Also Tim and Shel have never shown themselves to be anything but high functioning sociopaths w an overdeveloped flair for the bon mot so props on Allison for the characterization

I don't at all get where you're coming from in terms of Shelly on that. Her whole character's generally about meddling do-gooding, not selfishness

Without having the slightest idea what you're talking about, these are often the same thing.

Goddamnit, Tim and Shelley.

OTOH, let us not forget that Riley is a devious manipulative harpy who blew up the life of the man she loves so that she could reassemble the pieces into a shape more pleasing to her, so.

also: I thought for sure we'd finally have a Winters/mini-Winters reunion. Boo.

It's not really a huge revelation or anything. Mimi appeared briefly in Scary Go Round as the younger sister of Elodie, who's now the French teacher in Tackleford. And that's pretty much it, as far as I know.

Bobbins every Friday! Yes!

Keeps my hopes up that someday, soon hopefully, we'll be seeing more Giant Days

I think that series was exclusive to their college days, but I bet at some point The Boy will run into Esther if we follow him around long enough.

That's the hope, that's the hope! Though I would love to see more Giant Days specifically.

Bad Machinery today perfectly encapsulates my many failed attempts at romance as a pre-teen/teen.

I'm guessing that the strip that immediately followed did not perfectly encapsulate those attempts, unless you made out with a cool-as-fuck French exchange student immediately after being a huge spaz

It does not. I only mastered the spazzing part not the other part.

I didn't make out with any French chicks until I was well out of high-school, Jack is definitely punching above his weight there.

This Mod/Rocker arc has been the least interesting, most nonsensical, and just plain bad thing I've ever seen by John Allison

Tell me you didn't call it a "mod/rocker arc" because you think this arc is actually about mods and rockers.

Today's Bobbins:

yes Shelley, it is not surprising that Ryan didn't go hunt down a runaway petulant and dim fishman and instead elected to stay home and boink his apparently insatiable and crazy-hot new girlfriend

also: buhhhhhhh, Desmond is the worst. the worst.

Yeah normally I'm up for pretty much anything and anybody when it comes to that comic (overarching fictional universe?) but wow I am done with Desmond why does he keep coming back. He brings nothing to any story he's in, he's just a whiny, bratty, useless waste of space that's too dumb and stubbornly uneducatable and overall unchangeable (i.e. immune to character growth) for it to be funny or interesting.
