2. A star! A star! No wait, I did that wrong.
3. Valentine's Day and some kind of bank holiday, just to get a little break in February.

6. A cure for PWS (which my niece has) or MS (which my Dad has). Or evidence to put Donald Trump and his entire cabinet away for life. Decisions, decisions.

2. That part of Gremlins scared the hell out of me when I was 5
3. Labor Day and that one Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Awkward having that one little chunk of non-holiday right there where it does nobody any good.

Since these are very specific to New Year's Day, I will time travel one day into the past and answer as I would have then:

What VR game would you like to play in the New Year?
Tetris Effect

Who will you send New Year's wishes to today, face to face?
Absolutely no one, because I have a massive hangover and don't want to see any humans.

What's your New Year's Day weather?
No idea, because there's curtains between me and the outside and light hurts.

How are you dressing on New Year's Day?
Plaid PJs that I rolled out of bed in at 3PM.

What music are you listening to today?
The hammering on the inside of my skull.

What book will be your first book of the New Year?
Gene Wolfe's The Sword of the Lictor, whenever I finally get around to it.

I fell off this thread a while ago and sometime I wanna go back and answer select questions from the last dozen weeks, but that time is not now. Meanwhile, though, I just wanted to point out that there are some killer jam sessions in the otherwise completely forgettable Blues Brothers 2000. Honestly, getting a bunch of old retiring blues musicians together is the one justifiable reason for that movie's existence.

1. I feel like I can't be alone I don't feel like people talk about it... I used to feel REALLY tense when watching action movies, they way you might on a scary ride. I knew intellectually that most of the time when characters are falling into, say the mouth of a dinosaur it wasn't real but watching action in the day, I felt true suspense if someone's life was threatened. It's not that the movies changed, it's that I have and I kind of miss those unfiltered feelings of adrenaline.
2. The latter.
3. How about something intensely romantic

4. Bicycle Boogie
5.

Or "Shake a Tail Feather"
6. Junk. Last Friday was great. I got a plug for a laptop charger! It was a banner day.

Once upon a time there was a boy who coveted the moon. And so one night when it was but a sliver of a cresent hanging low in the sky, he reached out and grabbed it in his hand. But he gripped too tightly and it snapped in two within his palm. And try as he might, he could not repair what he had broken.

"What have you done?" cried out the villagers as he tried to explain. "What have you done?"

His eyes filled with tears as the earth below him turned to ash.

"I didn't mean to!" he sobbed, as he knelt to the ground in the dark clearing. "I'm sorry! I really am!"

"I know you are" the man in the moon responded. "Nobody ever means to do anything like this. But what's done, cannot be undone."

"This isn't mine," he sniffled, placing the two broken fragments on the soft grass in front of him. "I'm sorry I took them. Please take them back."

"Your honesty is appreciated," the man in the moon's voice boomed, as the boy slowly started floating upwards towards the broken light. "And your apology is sincere. But words alone cannot fix this."

1. Who is your favourite opera singer?
I don't know about you, but I've been dreaming of Maria Callas (whoever she is...)

2. What's a good age to pass away at?
I'm not sure there is such a thing, honestly.

3. If you had a pet shark, what would you name it?
Roy Scheider. That way, when people say, "Ah, yes, Jaws!" you can smile knowingly and reply, "No: SeaQuest DSV!"

4. What is the sexiest monster?
Probably this one.

5. What was your first word/words?
"Bird," appropriately enough.

6. Can you read me a story?
I'm afraid I can't just now, so I'll let Tom Waits do it:

1. Pavarotti, I guess. Just don't watch "Yes, Giorgio"
2. 120. If you keep well.
3. Toothface
4. The Doctor Victor Frankenstein's Monster. Dude's buff but sensitive, in a murdery sort of way. Also his wife, Lily Munster.
5. Don't know this one. I know my sister's first full sentence, though. "I don't like it."
6. As long as it's Bear Snores On.
