I was writing up a post for the argument going on in the Star Wars thread, but I changed my mind.

I was about to start writing replies to several things, but then I realized the replies I would have written would have probably been either too long or would have opened several different cans of worms that I'd rather not have to deal with.

So I'm posting here instead.

Can I post here if I delete a tweet instead of sending it?

After typing a reply to this thread, then not submitting it, I wanted to make a "post here every time you type a reply to the 'post here everytime you type a reply to a post, but then don't submit the reply' thread, but then don't submit the reply" thread, but it exceeds the maximum thread title length, so I didn't, and am posting here instead.

Did it again. Started replying to a post but then cancelled it because I didn't want to sound stupid about something. Happens a lot. On Twitter too.

/hovers mouse over submit reply button. Hesitates. Goes ahead and clicks it.

Accidentally closed a tab I had a post on so I can post here:

Wait are you saying you hold back less or that you don't even start.

I am trying to be less online, but I enjoy posting and posts as much as ever. I feel much less online all the same.

Wasn't confident that I could back it up, and the conversation had already moved on anyway.

I like this thread. It keeps me accountable when I'm posting on stage but I start to think it's a bad idea, but if I get it in here, everyone will know what a terrible person I am, to it forces me to research out a better position before submitting, because there's no going back once you type the first letter into that quick reply box

Where do I put all the posts that I immediately regretted and edited into something innocuous?

Also the posts where I had an immediate crisis of self-doubt, did a few frenzied seconds of Google research, and decided to retract in hopes that no one would see my idiocy.

What I want to know is what happens to the posts that regret being forced into existence as terrible simulacrums of actual meaning? What do we do with these shambling horrors?

You probably have a few specific examples in mind for this and I dont need to know what they are to state with confidence that the answer is absolutely neveralmost always Erotic forum fiction.

What if your Regretful Post falls for that cool mysterious badboy the Spoiler tag?!
Your bad post stares sadly into the mirror trying to edit away that embarassing typo. SPOILER TAG places its hand on REGRETFUL POSTS hand and moves it away.
"Please, I'm....so sick of hiding and keeping secrets" Spoiler tag says softly "just be yourself with me"
AND THEN REGRETFUL POST SLAMS ITS CAPSLOCK INTO SPOILER TAGS CLOSING END BRACKET SO HARD......

Later Regretful Post and Spoiler Tag hurriedly get dressed
"I'm sorry it has to be like this... But if Fear of New Threads Tag catches us...."

Carelessly made 4444 posts without starting a gimmick thread to commemorate that auspicious number; can’t start that thread now. Can only delete posts when they’re truly regrettable; not just pointless.

Most of these were due to a child going nuts and requiring my attention and by the time I returned I forgot what I was going to post. Band name recommendations, on the other hand, get out in seconds so rarely a problem there.

I previewed five times and gave up. I do this a lot.

I'm going to live on the edge and submit this reply without previewing. Here I go! Wait, I better preview it. Nah just do it.

I did it!

I have an idea for a gimmick thread you could do - much later. However - it might not fit your aesthetic. Still, message me if you want to know.
