Default What's in your trail mix?

Lately I've been craving some kind of trail mix as a morning snack. Unsatisfied with the pre-made snack mixes I find at the grocery store, I've been brainstorming what I would put into my own trail mix, and thought it would be a good question to open up to the board!

I know I want to start with peanuts and either raisins or cranberries as the base, but beyond that I can't decide what else to add! I want to avoid excessive carbs, but I love me some of those sesame stick things that always show up in pre-made trail mix so that'll be a challenge.

What about you, Talking Time?

Hm, breakfast trail mix is not something I've thought of. Yogurt raisins could go well, along with banana chips, dried strawberries, and granola.

This is my absolute guilty pleasure food, but not the healthy variety; like peanut butter cups/peanut butter chips/M&Ms/peanuts/other chocolate or peanut butter things variety. I had some a couple weeks ago that just connected all the right dots for me but it's so junk food I have to resist doing it all the time.

I dunno. Sometimes I want savory more than sweet. I don't have a go to.

There was a Safeway one when I worked there that was my go-to meal substitute, it had raisins and peanuts and m&ms and cashews and almonds.

Yeah, I go for the Monster from Target which I think is peanuts, raisins, M&Ms, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips.

That is one of the ones I like. Peanut Butter Monster was what I got last time, which drops the raisins for peanut butter covered pretzels and the regular M&Ms for peanut butter ones.
