I'll go for upbeat over epic ambient.

Jones in the Fast Lane is a computerized board game that Sierra published back in 1990. I wound up buying a copy, since I figured anything published by Sierra had to be at least kinda good, and it was kinda good! Not great, but decent. It had a pretty silly sense of humor and there are still a few jokes from it that pop into my head every now and then. But most of the time, when I think of this game, what comes to mind is this theme song. It's silly and messy and I'm not sure I would call it good; mostly I just wanted people to hear this relic from the AdLib era that has been rattling around in my brain for the last 25 years.

If you want to experience Jones in the Fast Lane in all its VGA glory, someone has ported the game to the web browser of your choice. Have a great weekend!

Jones was one of the many games I saw in InterActive magazine that I found compelling for reasons that completely escape me now.

But, then, I found everything in InterActive compelling at one point. It wasnt until the late 90s that I realized not everything with a Sierra logo on it was worth paying money for.
