That said, a lot of what we think of as "pumpkin beer" is really more "pumpkin-pie-spices beer", and that of course can be made perfectly adequately at any time of year, so go nuts.

Still, I'm now spoiled by my local brewery's yearly Dromgoole, which involves taking a cartload of actual freshly-baked pumpkin pies and tossing 'em in during fermentation. Everything else pales in comparison.
Yeah, Buffalo Bill's, my personal favorite and yearly Okami companion beverage, seems to have cut down on actual pumpkin and upped the spice content over the last few years in order to get it out of the door quicker. It's disappointing to say the least.

Perfect thing to have after an April snow storm brings in 6 inches. Iíll let you know later if this tie in is worth going beyond the wall for.

I've had a couple of Ommegang's GoT beers a few years ago and they were pretty good.

Yeah, I've yet to try one of those that wasn't at least "pretty good". I mean, tie-in or no, it's still Ommegang.

Pete Coors would like craft brewers to please stop saying mean things about him.

Rich old white men playing the victim is always the best and worst thing simultaneously.

I got a box of Coors Light as a cheap means of getting wasted during Knucklemania.

I will never forgive that man for my mistake

Iím at the Mikkeler Bar in San Francisco enjoying a tasty Windy Hill IPA. Itís weird to have a New England style IPA on the West coast, but damned if this isnít one of the better examples Iíve tried.

I was enjoying a Capital Brewing Oktoberfest beer with dinner, and the kids were making chocolate milk. On a whim I put a little squirt of chocolate syrup into my beer. It turned out pretty good, meshed with the malt heavy flavors. I definitely could see it getting cloying with more syrup, and I wouldnít do this with an actual good beer, but it made a decent chocolate mock boch.

Apparently there's a brewery in my Chicago neighborhood that specializes on sour beers and tea-inspired beers? I had no freakin' clue and now I'm enjoying a sour dill beer.

Their website is awful, but you can center-mouse click to see their line up. Welcome to Marz Brewing!
