Thatís kind of what this thread is for, isnít it?

I too have been wondering about how well old radio dramas hold up thanks to podcastiní. Iím going to assume that theyíre, at the very least, kinda racist half the time.

The radio version of Star Wars is lots of fun. They got Mark Hammill, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee to reprise their roles, and it includes some scenes that were cut from the movie.

McClain, I'm listening to TPWD 03.

I did the SAME thing on FF7. I've never finished disk 1. I just quit and she lives.
I'm super late to the party too. I just sort of accept that.
I love the image of brick with grinch evil grin and horns.
I forgot that i could play skyrim on alexa. I need to try that.
Brick mentioned summer games done quick on his FF5 stream and I watched a guy complete Nier:Automata ending A with only one hand from the 2017 summer games done quick. It was very impressive.
I really want to play TLoU2, but I'm not a big fan of how graphic it is. It just makes my stomach churn. So I feel you.
I'm exactly the same regarding Subspace Emissary. That was by far my favorite part of the only smash game I've ever owned.
I love the idea of Smash Kart. I want a metroid rainbow road.
I convinced our office to bring in WhichWich. I'm getting a Wicked next Thursday!

I listened to the first TPWD! As someone who enjoys listening to both of you individually, I also enjoy listening to both of you together.

Are Jonathan Coltonís legally distinct covers from Bubble available anywhere else?

Because ďGo Ride A BoatĒ alone is something I would pay hard currency for.

Hi everyone ó my panel format, album-of-the-episode podcast Discord & Rhyme premieres on Tuesday, and you can already subscribe on the usual platforms (all that's currently in the feed is our theme song). The first episode is about Earth, Wind & Fire's All 'N All, and we already have episodes lined up about the Moody Blues, Ween, and Deltron (a Talking Time favorite, as I recall).[/URL].

I really dig some of the Duckfeed shows, but man I wish Gary Butterfield would stop talking about Kingdom Hearts forever and ever. Like, we get it, you don't like the game. But you don't have to take every chance you get to act stunned that people like a video game you don't like.

I've lost patience for that kind of stuff more and more ever since the low-key "all video games are good" thing started here.

Worse than his constant harping about how bad DS3 was? That was one of the leading reasons I dropped their casts. That, and the awful tangents taking up entire episodes.

I skipped out on that season of Bonfireside Chat because I was avoiding spoilers, and haven't really been grabbed by my playthrough of Dark Souls 3 yet, so it doesn't bother me that much. But I can see how it would be the same kind of thing if I did get more into Dark Souls 3.

The recent Abject Suffering episode on the new Shaq Fu opens with Gary taking a potshot at Kingdom Hearts, saying that games like the new Bubsy and new Shaq Fu are why you shouldn't ironically like games like Kingdom Hearts, and I was just like "whelp, guess I'm not wasting my time on this episode."

It sucks because Watch Out for Fireballs is my favorite video game podcast, formatting-wise.

Hear hear!

I like Gary and Ross a lot but some episodes are a hard listen. They ragged on Soul Blazer for being a fun chill out game and its like :\

FFIV was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Literal hours upon hours of listening to him shit on a game that he supposedly likes!

That said, I'm pretty much 100% on board with the awful tangents.

We've launched, with an episode about Earth, Wind & Fire's All 'n All. You can find us on the standard podcast apps and you can stream and DL here.

Please listen to Slow Burn, a podcast about Watergate. It is relevant. And you will be surprised about how many names and people you recognize from something nearly 50 years ago.

Seconded, Slow Burn is extremely good, goes into detail on things that tend to be left out of the story, and it's oddly satisfying to remember that watergate was a political disaster that dragged on for a long time but it did actually end.

Man, people hear entirely different things in the Duckfeed dudes' takes than I do. At this point I take Gary ragging on Kingdom Hearts as a knowing joke acknowledging they have lots of fans who enjoy it, kind of like the forbidden word (anime). And tbh the amount of time they both spent apologizing for having a harsher take on DS3 than most got more annoying than the hot takes themselves. It never felt like they were doing anything but giving their honest opinions about the games, and their DS2 season has given me some entirely new appreciation for a game I otherwise /don't think is very good./ I don't always agree with their opinions about stuff but I don't think they were ever trying to generate fake heat or something.

It doesn't bother me when it's relevant, it's just that Gary was in the middle of a serious complaint about how ironically liking things leads to subpar nostalgia games. Like he could not fathom a human being having legitimate affection for the Kingdom Hearts series. Like it's so bad no one could actually like it for real.

I'm interested in the kind of in depth criticism you might get from a systems perspective on Three Moves Ahead, or in depth analysis of themes and world building you might get from Waypoint.

I'm not interested in, for example, the guy on the most recent Retronauts who offered perspectives like, Portrait of Ruin was bad because "I don't like games where you switch between characters" or whatever. That is just . . . not interesting to hear about. I don't care!

We have eventual plans to cover Southern Rock Opera! (It'll probably be a 2-parter.)

I'm sure most of you have heard of it, but I really enjoy Three Moves Ahead. They recently did a couple episodes that were just excellent. One was about the popular perception of Rome through strategy games, and I'm currently listening to them discuss Baldur's Gate style RPGs. Specifically, the latter episode is questioning the quality of its combat systems in a way that I don't hear often enough.

I love Rob Zachny on Waypoint Radio and enjoy war games, so I keep meaning to get around to checking that out but never seem to find room in my bloated podcast hole.

I enjoy We Got This, mainly because itís fun to listen to Mark and Halís banter (and Iíve become a fan of both thanks to Thrilling Adventure Hour), but itís got to be one of the lowest tier Max Fun shows. Theyíre most recent episode was a life show debating the best 80s cartoon, and it sounds like there was about a dozen people in the audience.

Iíve been doing a re-listen to Welcome to Nightvale over the past couple of weeks, and I just canít fully express how much better the show is when it leans into comedy as opposed to horror or drama.

Because I laugh my dang fool heiny off when they expect me to, and make impatient ďget on with itĒ gestures when they donít.

If I hadn't already soft-retired from the "making incidental music for podcasts" game, the gonads song from the last couple radiolab episodes has made it official, for there is nothing I could possibly do that could ever be better than their "gonads" song.

The only problem I have is that it does't seem like you can just get the song somewhere.
